asparagus, prosciutto-squash puree, mascarpone cream sauce
Wonderful meal as per usual
Delicious food as always!! Food was served prompt and hot! Even my mother enjoyed her meal!!
Staff was very accommodating. The portion sizes are generous enough that we are able to share an antipasto platter and a,fruit of the Sea and still have leftovers. The food and presentation are consistently well done. Giacomos is our new "go to" placem
Food was ok. Waited for 1 of 4 drinks which was only on the rocks drink. What takes so long? Also, served 3 of 4 dinners, waited about 15 minutes or so for last meal, by which time the rest of us were half thru our meals, unacceptable. Meals should be served together. Not fault of the waitress, she placed order together. Always liked this restaurant, but very disappointed this time.
Food is always hood as is the service and they now accept reservations!!
Party of six for dinner, nice table location, wonderful salad and appetizers, great beverages, delicious entrees, excellent table service, very tasteful desserts, and a great value. I recommend this restaurant to all.
The watermelon martini was great. Had a calamari app. Tried the lobster ravioli and the scallops and shrimp. All were outstanding. The prices are very reasonable overall.
Another great meal, another great experience. Hubs ordered us sausage arancini to start and then we had our usual favorites: fettuccine with prosciutto and peas and lobster ravioli. A bottle of wine and tiramisu later, we left happy and full for under $100. Love this local gem.
Delicious food and great service
Food was fantastic. Better wine list would help. Limoncello cake was heaven.
Wonderful as usual!
Had a very enjoyable evening with friends. Could have used a bit more punch to the flavors in the meal. Bread was excellent.
We were seated next to the bar and I found it hard to hear my table mates over the noise
Waitress was outstanding.
North End flavor without the hassle of getting there. Terrific server, terrific drinks and really great food. Will go back.
I have eaten here several times and find the food to be very inconsistent. I have had good meals and others (like my most recent) have been average. I had the Chicken Marsala which was dry, tough, and chewy. I asked for penne on the side with marinara and received spaghetti in the sauce mixed with the chicken. I ended up not eating much of my meal. The waitress apologized and send a glass of Prosecco which was very nice. Again, I have had very uneven experiences here so usually head elsewhere for a good meal. The drinks however, are excellent. It was our anniversary and it was raining so instead of going into the North End we went to Giacomos. Not the special evening we were hoping for.
Service was very good. Dinner cocktails were very good. Food was good but pasta was under-cooked. We eat here often and this was the first time the pasta was under-cooked.
This restaurant was better than my last two times in the north end and the prices were much better as well. The wait staff was excellent too. We will be back on our next trip to Boston
Nice energetic restaurant with fast service and good food. The bread was delicious, it was nice and crusty,so was the Malbec wine that I ordered. We ordered the calamari for appetizer, it was quite good with the spicy peppers.. For main course I had the frutti di mari with pasta and red sauce. It was delicious, generous portion as well. Brought some home. Enjoyed it and would go back.
Giacomo’s offers up consistently good Italian food. My husband and I have our favorites (gnocchi, Ziti with meatball) but last night I tried lemon fettuccine with shrimp and scallops. So light and perfect for a hot summer night. Not too lemony, just fresh and delicious. And the drinks are also spot on. We are picky about our cosmos.
Fabulous time with friends and great food to celebrate my daughter’s birthday
Food was excellent. Wait staff excellent. It is just too loud in the restaurant. Hard to hear others talking.
We’ve only been here a couple of times but we find that when we want to do something special, Giacomo’s is the place to go. The food is delicious, the portions are good and the ambiance is quaint. We absolutely love it!
Great atmosphere, great food, has the feel of a North End restaurant
The food is very good and the dessert Martinis are delightful. If you are looking for a quiet place to eat, this is not the place for you.
As always we had a delicious meal at one of our favorite restaurants. Had the Chicken Parm and the Baked Ziti with meatballs. So amazingly good. Love love Giacomos
Great food, as always.
Had an excellent meal last night! It was so great to see Giacomo's bustling after Covid. Started off with some nice, crusty bread that we dipped in olive oil. We got the Burrata appetizer, which was fabulous. Soft, creamy cheese over a beautiful tomato salad. Of course, we needed more bread with that! We shared the pasta with prosciutto and peas and the swordfish entree. Both were exceptional! The pasta was creamy and delicious, and the fish was cooked to perfection! The service was excellent, and our water glasses were never empty. Wish we could've tried a dessert, but we were too full. Cappuccino topped the meal off very nicely though.
Can't wait to come back again!
Overall I would rate our experience a three. Food was ok but the biggest downfall was our terrible server Sheila and her attitude is what brought our dining experience down and why I would never return again. Asking simple questions like if there were any pasta substitutes was a bother to her. When my date asked if there was cavatappi her response was” just what I said “in a very abrupt and harsh tone was the way she spoke to us for the entire meal. When I heard her tell the next table over that there were specials which she never told us about she gave me an attitude when I asked her what the specials were. Usually specials are a little bit higher priced so forgetting to tell diners about specials hurts your business she also didn’t ask us if we wanted a second drink. More lost revenue for your business.
Everything was wonderful but it was too dark to see and too noisy to hear. Food and service was excellent.
Great food, friendly staff, just need some sound insulation. It's way too loud in there when its busy.
Food was delicious and our server was wonderful. Giacomo’s is the best.
party of 6- seated promptly, food was outstanding, all had different entrees, service excellent . A/C a little too cool- however, due to large party, seating only in bar area.
been to Giacomo's many times, never disappointed!!
The food was excellent, as usual. Full glass of wine reasonably priced. Despite some staff shortages, we were seated quickly and waited on and served in a very timely manner (thank you Sheila!!). My only minor criticism is that the background music was louder than I would have liked. We'll be back.
Restaurant was overbooked and hostess was rude to customers
My veal piccata had very few pieces of veal. Everyone else had a normal size portion. If you’re selling artichoke heart piccata you should call it that.
The food at Giacomo's is consistently good. The portions are generous and the price is very fair.
Amazing food and service (Albert)! Can’t wait to go back!!
Food was excellent! Service was good.
Waiter could of been more friendly
