Gia is a vibrant plant-forward 36 seat restaurant, specializing in handmade pasta, with creative takes on Italian classics, like plant-based meatballs, focaccia, and pappardelle bolognese.

Our curated cocktails and artisanal wines wouldn’t be out of place at any chic bar.

Reservations: Kindly note if availability on OpenTable appears limited, we are fully BOOKED; however, feel free to reach out to us by phone daily after 4pm to inquire about last-minute cancellations. Tables are released 60 days in advance and we encourage you to book early. We are grateful for your interest and look forward to hosting you!

In addition Gia offers six reservable bar seats, and we accept walk-ins when available.

    Main courses were far too slow coming out of the kitchen (mains came one-at-a-time 90 minutes after being seated and nearly a full hour after appetizers). Little to no communication from server.

    Very lovely restaurant! Service was fine, nothing special but no complaints. Had some tasty but overpriced (typical Toronto) cocktails. The meatballs and focaccia are TO DIE for. Rapini was great too, but we really disliked the tortellini! Tasted kind of watery and not flavourful, plus the pasta dough almost tasted raw. Would overall recommend coming here for some yummy veg Italian!

    Gia is a cozy spot with delicious vegan and vegetarian food! Right off of Ossington. It's so hard to find nice restaurants offering vegan menus! Very pleased with this find!

    The food at Gia is outstanding. I had the pleasure of eating at Gia in November 2021 and returned with my husband is this May 2022. To find a restaurant with this level of expertise and knowledge in plant based cuisine is superb.

    Porcini past was excellent. Papardelle a bolognese was fine. Menu is limited but they do well what they propose to do. It's second time I go and it's a place that won't disappoint you.

    My favourite spot in the city!! Every time I've been to Gia the food is always outstanding. A lot of vegan restaurants have a very "vegan vibe" to them, if that makes sense. Gia does not feel like a vegan/vegetarian focused restaurant: everything is inviting and delicious. I'd even venture so far as to say that if you brought someone here without telling them, they'd have no idea that it was plant-based-- just delicious.

    This restaurant is great if you are plant based and craving Italian food! I had their vegan tortellini and as a non-vegan it really tasted cheesy and had such great umami flavour from mushrooms.

    Overall, loved this experience! The ambience, decor, glassware, dinnerware, cutlery were all so beautiful, loved it all. Our server was FANTASTIC. The food was terrific for the most part. The crab cakes were a bit dry, could have used more sauce with them. Meat balls were a touch dry too, but the sauce helped immensely. The gem salad, phyllo wrapped brie, and olive oil cakes were all favs for me. Would defs return!

    As someone recently trying to turn vegan, I've been on the hunt for great plant-based restaurants in Toronto. Gia did NOT disappoint! Everything we tried was incredible (focaccia, meatballs, phyllo-wrapped brie, tortelloni funghi). I can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu!

    The food and service were amazing. The only issue was for my family in their 50’s it was too loud. Maybe it was just our specific table location and the other guests that happened to be around us. If you’re sensitive to noise maybe request a table near the front. Otherwise I would definitely come back with my friends.

    Super delicious and beautifully presented fare at a cozy, cool plant-forward spot in the hip ossington-dundas area. Saturday night dinner, patrons still coming in at 10PM. Dimly lit with high energy tracks playing in the background. Dinner for 2: expect to pay $150+ depending on drinks & upsells on food. Great experience, difficult to get a rezo, can only book on OpenTable. Definitely will go back, great date place. Young millenial crowd.
