Lovely atmosphere. We sat in the small private room with the low tables. Our waiter was excellent. Attentive and could talk about the pluses/minuses of each dish. During our meal, we weren't rushed. Our party of 4 enjoyed the fried artichokes, ahi tuna, the pizza, crab cakes, and cauliflower. All was delicious. Will definitely go back.
Great brunch menu. Plenty of creative and interesting choices. Loved the Bacon quartet and French toast. Bloody Mary was spicy and tasty. Highly recommend for Sunday brunch!!
I would recommend Gia for a drink. Their drink menu has unique options which were well executed.
We returned after a phenomenal visit 2 years ago when in town on business. I believe the kitchen staff has changed. The food was an odd mix of flavors in many cases, the waiter was not clear on what had gluten, and the live music did not allow for easy conversation over dinner.
Great band, but music was too loud for that small venue....you could not talk with the folks at the table without talking VERY loudly....
It was our 1st time dining at Gia and we were very impressed. I am a big fan of tapas style establishments and Gia gets it right. Excellent food and ambiance, highly recommend it.
GIA, a great in Greensboro!
I’m our first visit, they blew us away with crafted cocktails, a seriously well-stocked bar, outstanding tapas/small plates, and exceptional service. Eat at the bar, a high top, or a table-or outside! It was great. We’ll be back.
Atmosphere and aesthetics are great, one of the best in the city. Service is mediocre and food was okay. Some things were great, others were off. For the price (10-20 per small plate) we were expecting better.
Great again!
My experience at GIA was wonderful! They have a creative weekly Chef’s Menu with options for everyone as well as a classic Staples Menu with plenty of gluten free and veggie options. The service was impeccable with very knowledgeable and friendly service staff. GIA is a great spot to try if you enjoy great service, food, and music!
Great atmosphere, neat place, very good food and drinks. Good service, great selection of food, popular place, gets louder as the crowd trickles in. Anniversary night meal, always enjoy the food and ambiance. Thanks !!
Do not plan on patronizing this restaurant again
Another great cocktail class. Nino always impresses. Great Food/Great Cocktails
Always amazing here!
This was my first visit to Gia. The wine selection was very good. The server was knowledgeable of the wines and allowed us to taste one before we purchased the bottle. We tried several tapas - the prosciutto wrapped asparagus was a definite winner, along with the scallops and the side cucumber salad. Duck was a little heavier with the pasta, but also very good. Desserts are a must try - lemoncello cake was delicioso! This could easily be my new wine bar hangout when I'm in town. Loved it!
Birthday dinner. It was delicious
A birthday dinner at one of the best off-to-the-side two-top tables in the world. Truly worth discovering for yourself.
Nino and Dan knocked it out of the park with their cocktail class. They showed us two terrific Vodka and one Gin based cocktails that were great to taste and will become the standard for many get togethers. Each of these classes have Nino out on the trail of how the original was done and then recreating it. Dan's superior bartender skills compliment Nino and both go out of their way to make certain that all questions are answered. Another of GIA's secrets it a world class chef who pairs food with each creation. Do yourself a favor, get a sitter and book yourself a reservation for a great time at GIA!!!
We loved the dishes, especially the artichoke and asparagus and the flatbread and the wine which was Gerard petite Syrah.
Enjoyed the selections from the chef’s menu. Food was fresh and flavorful with lots of variety including vegan and gluten-free choices.
The restaurant is awesome but Joshua made our
evening. He suggested a wine that was fabulous, food recommendations were perfect.
His personality was so lovely. We told him we would be back to the parlor and ask specifically for him.
Great setting and Valentines Dinner Date. We had great service from the second we walked in the door. Great menu always with rustic creative small to medium plates.
Asked my girlfriend to marry me of course she said yes . Food was great ambiance was perfect!!! Thanks so much!!!
It was fine, but I expected it to be much more innovative. The food was good but not great. Our server was not attentive.
Great food and service
We have eaten here dozens of times and appreciate the creative menu consisting of small-plates, the extensive wine list and the occasional jazz entertainment. The most recent visit was for a wine tasting, accompanied by a selected meat and cheese plate, hosted in one of the three private rooms off the main dining area. After the tasting, we went into the main area to make a dinner of it. As always, there were surprising new dishes presented by friendly and knowledgable wait staff.
We were at GIA for the Wine, Meat, & Cheese monthly event. Sierra led the group and had done her homework. She presented each wine and the paired meat or cheese smoothly. Gabe was there as well and lended his sommelier expertise to make the wines pedigree very understandable in a great yet conversational manner. Both were responsive to questions and comments. Rosalie was there lending her considerable knowledge and experience. I'm sorry that it was Rosalie's swan song and we will all miss her but wish her the best in her new job.
I suggest that everyone consider the event for an easy learning experience in the wonderful environment that Nino provides for his clients. Top Marks for every part of Wine, Meat, and cheese.
I have been to this restaurant many times before so chose it for my friend's 40th birthday dinner. Unfortunately, after we ordered we waited 40 minutes for our first tapas (one hummus for 4 people) and then 30 more for the next. We were so hungry waiting that I asked for extra bread and veggie sticks with our hummus and then was charged for it! We would never have wanted it if we had not had to wait so long for our food. Also, we ordered ratatouille, which is really meant to be eaten with a protein or something else, and it came to the table alone. There was a HUGE table next to ours so I don't know if that is why the timing and service was so bad, but I was embarrassed to have planned the dinner there because it was expensive for all of the guests and their experience had really not been positive.
Gia remains one of our favorites - from sitting at the bar for Sunday brunch, to the romantic book nooks at the front for date night, or the dramatic library to catch up with friends, we love the food and atmosphere.
We had a wonderful night at GIA. Everything was amazing. From the ambiance, to the service, to the food ! We will be back for sure!
"I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The scallops were amazing. Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were affordable."
Had a wonderful experience. Food was great! Sat at the bar and talked with the owner. Learned a lot about beverages, foods on menu, etc.
Great ambiance. Bartenders are great we just got dealt a very SLOW server.
Good food, service, and date setting.
The staff at Gia's is fabulous. We go there frequently and gotten to know the owners, servers, and bartenders. Love the specialty cocktails and flatbreads.
Music is a nice addition on Saturday nights. The singers last week were amazing.
Second time there and the food wasn’t as good as the first time
Service was great
I took my husband out during the week to celebrate his birthday and we had the best time at GIA. It was our first time and the food was delicious. The customer service was awesome. We were seated in a great private and cozy spot, that was perfect for our occasion. Loved the ambiance and live music. My husband was so surprised and impressed, (as was I ;)). He felt really special. I'm so glad we came. I have already recommended the place to a friend, and would love to try their Sunday brunch. We moved to GSO from NYC and this has been the best local experience by far. Thanks again!
Overall, great experience. Would like to see more variety in menu. Staff very friendly.
Great food, great service at a fine restaurant!!!
Great tapas, well executed! Great attentive service from Anna Marie!
We brought another couple who just moved here and has never been. They were amazed the whole way through dinner. From the service to the food. We sat in the library section which they loved as well.
They told every one they couldn’t wait to come back.
Thanks Nino and Joel.
