This stylish, low-key hangout offers Classic and Inventive Cocktails, Charcuterie & Globally inspired plates. Located on New Garden Road near Trader Joe's. Our Menus sources our ingredients from the area's best purveyors and local farmers. [Edit- owner called, seemed concerned and tried to make it better. I don’t want to dig them if my experience was a “one off” ] IMO, Horrible experience. Steak was served raw and while we waited for them to fix it the manager asked if we needed anything so we said bread. They then charged us for the bread! When the replacement filet came out it was not cooked correctly, again and then was fatty. We wasted $100 only to need to go elsewhere to eat dinner. We used OpenTable’s reviews to pick this place and it’s was poor. The server had an attitude, the manager was helpful but we didn’t eat the food. We should have left the first time it came out wrong. They charged us for everything, including the bread. They should have paid me for this experience, not the other way around.

Our waitress was wonderful and very attentive. Our drinks from the bar were delicious. The Burrata salad was lacking (bread should be toasted in olive oil first). We had to ask for salt and pepper to give it some ooomf. The crab cakes were very good. The Milanese chicken was cooked well but was also lacking something. It came with a”side” of arugula, pear, and fennel but that did not do enough. Giada has a wonderful Milanese recipe using fennel, mascarpone and tomato which I hope they will look at. The four cannoli for desert were good but not outstanding. Will try some other options next time,

We attended Gia’s A Taste of Greece Wine Dinner on Saturday night and wondered why it was our first time. A friendly camaraderie of diners were seated in a private dining room, about 12 people at each of three long tables. James Tasios, of American Beverage, hosted the five course dinner and shared his quest for each of the five paired wines as they were served. Gia’s did not disappoint. We enjoyed a variety of small plates, featuring everything from littleneck clams to chicken to roast lamb to duck, each beautifully appointed and served with appropriate sides. The final course, macerated fruit ambrosia, topped off the Greek theme. The wait staff choreographed serving the multiple courses and paired wines with finesse. We can’t wait to attend the French tasting dinner in the fall.
