   Food menu was barely any, not many options. Service tried to over charge us. Had to ask for a print out because the charges were incorrect. Drinks were cool. Guacamole was good small portion however. Not the typical Mexican restaurant.

   Went during happy hour! Great prices, drinks, food and music!! It’s so cute, loved the decor. The hostess that greeted us was a little rude and had an attitude on her but other than that the service was great.

   This was our first time visiting Ghost Donkey & it was a 10/10 experience!! The ambience was EVERYTHING!!!

   Unfortunately, our experience here was really disappointing. Our waitress was rude from the start — barely acknowledged us, wasn’t friendly, and hardly checked on our table the entire time. When I ordered, I specifically asked for no cilantro or onion, and my food came loaded with both. It was hard to enjoy because the flavors were totally overpowered by cilantro, and overall the dish was just mediocre. On top of that, the chips were stale and the drink we received wasn’t even what we ordered. We were hoping for a good experience, but between the service and the food, it just wasn’t worth it.

   1st time the food was great 10/10 , came back a second time and food did not taste the same . The quality of the guacamole was horrible and the drinks are filled with so much ice , the amount of liquor is a shot

   Ghost donkey is one of my fair bars downtown not only is the staff incredible the food and drinks are great as well

   The reservation system is very confusing. I had previously tried to stop by during their happy hour and it was VERY busy. We were told we could go to the bar since you need to make a reservation in advance to be seated. So I made sure to make a reservation for April 10th to get drinks after my dinner. I was running late and called to let them know I would be 15min late and to try and push the reservation back 15min. The girl that answered the phone informed me that you don’t need reservations at their River North location and it’s all walk in. That was a confusing situation. The drinks are good and it’s very loud in there so it’s a good place for just drinks. I will say, both times I’ve been have been hard to get good service. They don’t have a lot of staff and it’s a long wait to order and it’s too chaotic. The first time I went in for happy hour we walked around the bar trying to flag down a bartender for 15min before finally leaving.

   I have gone to Ghost Donkey about 3 times now since they opened and tbh it’s a Gem! There Happy Hour is legit 🔥. I highly recommend them!

   Tables are too small to order food comfortably. Found myself putting drinks on the floor to make room.

    Great experience and love the music selection. Happy hour until 8pm with amazing guac
