Celebrated a wedding anniversary here on a whim (we both had forgotten), and were thrilled with our choice. Our server, Alonso, walked us through the tasting menu and told us about the approach that chef Niven Patel takes, and we had the great honor of talking with Shivani Patel, Niven's wife. From the first sip of the wonderful craft cocktails to the last bite of the date cake and ginger ice cream, there wasn't a missed step in terms of food or service. If you want a good experience and thoughtful interpretations of South Asian classics, put Ghee on your list.
Food was awesome as usual ! newly added Tandoori chicken and okra fried rice were both very tasty and excellent.
Loved the food, but didn't like the fact that we had to wait a while for our table despite reservations, and could not even order a glass of wine. The hostess graciously walked us outside to wait, where it was very hot. And, outside fans were not all working
One of my favorite restaurants in Miami. The food is always fresh and tasty. Service is friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!
The food is Overpriced and not worth going back. It need some work
I wasn’t impressed with options available. The naan was burnt and didn’t taste good at all. We basically left it as it had too much of burnt taste.
Loved everything about this place! Food was amazing!!!
The appetizers were very good but didn't care for the main course as much. Also would have loved to see more options in cocktails.
Excellent as usual.
Great meal. Wonderful service & outstanding place.
Delicious food!!! Loved everything about it
We had an amazing dinner as always, however we didn’t enjoy dining outside too much - didn’t feel that at the level of restaurant Ghee is matched the seating options outside (would have preferred dining inside) but food and service we perfect as always!
Sadly, I was underwhelmed. I was expecting so much more from Ghee since it was getting so many great reviews. The place is cute, but small. I made reservations through OpenTable and when I got there, my party and I were sat immediately, but only because there were two tables open to fit us. But the hostess/waitress didn't even ask for reservation name or anything. I feel that I made the reservation for nothing. She also was not welcoming...she actually seemed preoccupied and busy since she was coming from cleaning up a table (front desk was empty) and seemed a bit annoyed that I had interrupted her. Maybe she was trying to cover a few roles? For an "upscale" restaurant, I was expecting a better welcoming. I actually chose the table, she didn't care where we sat. She was nice, but didn't seem to provide that great customer service.
Now, let's get into the food. My husband and I LOVE Indian food...I mean we LOVE IT! But this place did not impress...and it is pricey! Their menu is VERY limited. My husband's favorite dish - Chicken Makhani (Butter Chicken) was not on the menu. The only well-known one was the Chicken Tikka Masala. It was good, but not for the price we paid. And it was spicy! I'm not sure if the dish comes that way or if we had a choice, but the waitress didn't mention anything. Their Naan was not good. Their appetizers, were okay. One of their appetizers - breaded cauliflower was pretty good. The only thing I enjoyed really was their Ginger Lemonade. We didn't try dessert, so I cannot comment on that.
Also, the waitresses seemed a bit expressionless. No joy in their job. Just served us because that is their job. There were 2 main ones and one that came at one point because the other 2 were busy.
I don't know...I was not impressed. I would only go back to Ghee if I was with a group of friends and they wanted to go. But this wouldn't be my first choice. I would MUCH rather go to a mom & pop Indian spot and get some great food.
Love at fist site. And keep coming back and bringing everybody I can
I took a 4-day trip to Miami to spend time with my girlfriend who'd been living in Florida for a couple of months. We were kind of doing long-distance since she moved there. On our second night together, I took her to Ghee. The ambiance was great, and most importantly, the food was incredible. The fish & the lamb curry were both two of the tastiest dishes I had ever put in my mouth. We had an incredible time (mostly because of each other), but I doubt the memory of such a meal would leave my mind anytime soon. We ended up breaking up before we left, but such is life. She always will & continue to be an important figure in my life.
The food was amazing. Every dish was well down. The service was excellent and the wine was great
Waiter Tomas was excellent we had him a few times prior.
Second time this happens to us, and I was quiet annoyed.
I make reservations on open table for inside table and they have none. Bar seating or outside which it was raining. Seems like the open table reservations and resturant reservations aren’t coordinating. Otherwise always a
Good experience. Food is yummy.
Ahhhh-mazing!! Great food, great service, I mean what more could you ask for. If you haven’t tried Ghee do yourself a favor and go and if you don’t that’s even better more seating for the rest of us that love that place.
The food flavors and experience was awesome Be prepared for a paced dining meal. All small plates and freshly made. I prefer this than the rushed get me out the door. So many things to try have to go back!!
Friday night dinner out
The food was good, and service was great! Honestly though, a bit underwhelming, as our last visit pre COVID was exceptional. Our friends were not impressed as we rated the place so highly. I think the chef really needs to focus some more, if this is his core. Sometimes, we can spread ourselves too thin with too many projects.
amazing food , beautiful place , informal .
looove the eggplant purée , samosas , chicken masala and the white fish with coconut and spices . love it !
Great food. Amazing flavors!!!!
Fantastic! Food and service were amazing. Never ending flavorful dishes.
Food is good quality and tasty. Ambiance and service is great. Dessert was overpriced.
Great Ethiopian food prepared and served by a family that cares.
Can't rave about this place enough - everything was perfect: the food, the server, the ambience outside. Short rib dosa and sticky date dessert are not pictured but were the table favorites. All the entrees ordered were outstanding enough to order again (lamb, kofta, and fish). Serving sizes were generous too. Can't wait to return.
Amazing Food & Amazing Service! 1st visit our server Alonzo/JoJo S. suggested the “Tasting Menu” for $65.00 a person was PERFECT. You get to truly taste the Chef’s Food. Our server was wonderful explained everything clearly. The food did not disappoint. Thank you for a great date night. The presentation of the dishes was perfect plus the dessert STICKY DATE definitely a must a total of 14 plates. Suggestion pace yourself otherwise you will be taking a lot of food home. We will be back soon!
No doubt , one of the best Indian restaurants in Miami. The smell of the place says it all. Quality ingredients and nice ambiance.
Great service! I would consider visiting more often if I had options of "heat levels" for the food. Just a little too hot for my liking.
The tandoori chicken is much better than at Bombay Durbar!!
The food was amazing, the chef’s experience is definitely worth it the money. The service is great and it’s a great vibe.
Ghee came highly recommended by a friend who normally does not enjoy Indian cuisine and said the food here is fabulous!
Everything we ordered was just absolutely delicious. As a chef and dietitian who especially enjoy good food, we were very impressed,!
Ghee never disappoints! Consistently fresh, delicious food and great service.
Amazing food! Okra fries and charred cauliflower were off the hook
Awesome! We did tasting menu and it was such a fun experience
The local fish and the chicken dishes were fantastic, with an amazing combination of Indian flavors. We didnt really know what we were ordering but they exceeded our expectations!
Went here for my daughter’s birthday because it’s her all time favorite spot! Delicious food. Great service. Cant wait to go again!
Fantastic food. Only problem I had was with service. Food came out fast but the server was bad. Unenthusiastic, didn’t know the food, not helpful and made us feel uncomfortable.
The food was amazing. The service was great. Looking forward to going again.
