Outstanding service and food!,
Tasty. Can't go wrong here
Ghee was one of my favorite spots in Midtown/Design District. Decided to make the drive down to Kendall but was disappointed to see the space being cold, not cozy at all. The lights should be dimmed much more. Plating was very poor, looked like a home cooked plate. Drinks are fantastic as usual and everyone was super friendly. Coming from Miami Beach, the drive is not worth it though.
A great hidden gem in the heart of downtown Dadeland. Annie was a great waitress making sure she answered all our questions and provided suggestions. Loved the ambiance. Really glad I made reservations because it was a full house. Food was authentic and delicious. The corn snack and yellowfin tuna bhel were delicious! Everything is served family style (which I loved) so it feeds 2-3 people. The grouper was tender and delicious along with the chicken tikka masala which is a fan favorite.
First time diner. Pleasantly surprised with the ambiance compared to online pictures. Awesome Indian inspired food. Recommended without any reservations.
It’s always incredible. The dishes and the service are flawless. A go to restaurant for us. I always say “what can we eat the night after” as your taste buds are so blown away from the flavors.
Amazing tasty progressive Indian food. Try the tuna BHEL, it’s the best
Be forewarned if you dine with a group at this restaurant. We visited for our second time last night to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Four of us were enthusiastic to order the chef’s tasting menu and my teen daughter and uncle decided to be less adventurous and order ala carte. The waitress said that if we wanted to do the tasting menu, everyone in the party had to have it or else everyone had to order ala carte. I asked to see the manager as it seemed unreasonable that everyone had ordered the meal they wanted to have and were now being forced to all have the tasting menu. It made our meal very uncomfortable because we felt extorted. My teen daughter didn’t find much she cared to try….
With all this going back and forth, the manager and waitress did not communicate about the birthday boy’s preference for no cilantro and the first whole course was full of cilantro….No beer to wash it down with either, the IPA he ordered was out!
Sad to say despite the quality of food remaining consistently good, the price has increased to $65/ person. The customer service left a bad taste in our mouths! Doubt we’ll return……
This is my third visit.
The food is nice is an understatement really.
When you are in Miami metro for business or pleasure, try Ghee out!
Happy New Year!
Food was served quickly and efficiently.
Lamb was excellent.
Chicken tika marsala was above average.
I think the flavors didn’t come out in the food. I felt like salt was missing in all items. They were out of couple of items that I was really looking forward to. The outdoor area is not very nice….they could improve their ambience with lights, more comfortable seats. It was ok, not worth its price.
Great food and service
I love this restaurant, we have been a few times. This last time we visited for my mother in laws birthday. We did the family style tasting menu, food was great but I was disappointed that they insisted on charging us for our son, he is 8 years old and like many 8 year olds he only eats burgers and pizza. Other than that the food was great, service was a little slow but it seemed our server was new.
Celebrated a wedding anniversary here on a whim (we both had forgotten), and were thrilled with our choice. Our server, Alonso, walked us through the tasting menu and told us about the approach that chef Niven Patel takes, and we had the great honor of talking with Shivani Patel, Niven's wife. From the first sip of the wonderful craft cocktails to the last bite of the date cake and ginger ice cream, there wasn't a missed step in terms of food or service. If you want a good experience and thoughtful interpretations of South Asian classics, put Ghee on your list.
Food was awesome as usual ! newly added Tandoori chicken and okra fried rice were both very tasty and excellent.
Loved the food, but didn't like the fact that we had to wait a while for our table despite reservations, and could not even order a glass of wine. The hostess graciously walked us outside to wait, where it was very hot. And, outside fans were not all working
One of my favorite restaurants in Miami. The food is always fresh and tasty. Service is friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!
The food is Overpriced and not worth going back. It need some work
I wasn’t impressed with options available. The naan was burnt and didn’t taste good at all. We basically left it as it had too much of burnt taste.
The appetizers were very good but didn't care for the main course as much. Also would have loved to see more options in cocktails.
Loved everything about this place! Food was amazing!!!
Excellent as usual.
Great meal. Wonderful service & outstanding place.
Delicious food!!! Loved everything about it
We had an amazing dinner as always, however we didn’t enjoy dining outside too much - didn’t feel that at the level of restaurant Ghee is matched the seating options outside (would have preferred dining inside) but food and service we perfect as always!
Sadly, I was underwhelmed. I was expecting so much more from Ghee since it was getting so many great reviews. The place is cute, but small. I made reservations through OpenTable and when I got there, my party and I were sat immediately, but only because there were two tables open to fit us. But the hostess/waitress didn't even ask for reservation name or anything. I feel that I made the reservation for nothing. She also was not welcoming...she actually seemed preoccupied and busy since she was coming from cleaning up a table (front desk was empty) and seemed a bit annoyed that I had interrupted her. Maybe she was trying to cover a few roles? For an "upscale" restaurant, I was expecting a better welcoming. I actually chose the table, she didn't care where we sat. She was nice, but didn't seem to provide that great customer service.
Now, let's get into the food. My husband and I LOVE Indian food...I mean we LOVE IT! But this place did not impress...and it is pricey! Their menu is VERY limited. My husband's favorite dish - Chicken Makhani (Butter Chicken) was not on the menu. The only well-known one was the Chicken Tikka Masala. It was good, but not for the price we paid. And it was spicy! I'm not sure if the dish comes that way or if we had a choice, but the waitress didn't mention anything. Their Naan was not good. Their appetizers, were okay. One of their appetizers - breaded cauliflower was pretty good. The only thing I enjoyed really was their Ginger Lemonade. We didn't try dessert, so I cannot comment on that.
Also, the waitresses seemed a bit expressionless. No joy in their job. Just served us because that is their job. There were 2 main ones and one that came at one point because the other 2 were busy.
I don't know...I was not impressed. I would only go back to Ghee if I was with a group of friends and they wanted to go. But this wouldn't be my first choice. I would MUCH rather go to a mom & pop Indian spot and get some great food.
Love at fist site. And keep coming back and bringing everybody I can
I took a 4-day trip to Miami to spend time with my girlfriend who'd been living in Florida for a couple of months. We were kind of doing long-distance since she moved there. On our second night together, I took her to Ghee. The ambiance was great, and most importantly, the food was incredible. The fish & the lamb curry were both two of the tastiest dishes I had ever put in my mouth. We had an incredible time (mostly because of each other), but I doubt the memory of such a meal would leave my mind anytime soon. We ended up breaking up before we left, but such is life. She always will & continue to be an important figure in my life.
The food was amazing. Every dish was well down. The service was excellent and the wine was great
Waiter Tomas was excellent we had him a few times prior.
Second time this happens to us, and I was quiet annoyed.
I make reservations on open table for inside table and they have none. Bar seating or outside which it was raining. Seems like the open table reservations and resturant reservations aren’t coordinating. Otherwise always a
Good experience. Food is yummy.
Ahhhh-mazing!! Great food, great service, I mean what more could you ask for. If you haven’t tried Ghee do yourself a favor and go and if you don’t that’s even better more seating for the rest of us that love that place.
The food flavors and experience was awesome Be prepared for a paced dining meal. All small plates and freshly made. I prefer this than the rushed get me out the door. So many things to try have to go back!!
Friday night dinner out
The food was good, and service was great! Honestly though, a bit underwhelming, as our last visit pre COVID was exceptional. Our friends were not impressed as we rated the place so highly. I think the chef really needs to focus some more, if this is his core. Sometimes, we can spread ourselves too thin with too many projects.
amazing food , beautiful place , informal .
looove the eggplant purée , samosas , chicken masala and the white fish with coconut and spices . love it !
Great food. Amazing flavors!!!!
Fantastic! Food and service were amazing. Never ending flavorful dishes.
Food is good quality and tasty. Ambiance and service is great. Dessert was overpriced.
Great Ethiopian food prepared and served by a family that cares.
