Ghee - Design District
One of our favorite restaurants, we brought friends from out of town and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Never disappoints.
Yum . Delish.
Amazing atmosphere, food, service! You can’t beat the tasting menu for value if you want to try a little bit of everything. Can’t wait to go back!
Food was great but they did not have high chairs for young kids which was super odd and unexpected..
Pleasant service, but no tandoori on menu..... food was tasty, interesting and works .... although I could have used more curries in the menu eg jalfreezi.
Very creative mix of ingredients that turned out some delicious dishes.
Service was very attentive.
Gets noisy around 7,and the tables are quite close to one another.
BEST Chicken Tikka ever! Will be back again soon!
Great food, quaint place...loved it!
Innovative Indian plus riffs on classics. Plenty of vegetarian options too and seasonal vegetables. Service was outstanding and the food paced well. We easily ordered 1/2 the menu (two adults/two teenagers) and thoroughly enjoyed. Standouts: green millet, saag paneer, smoked lamb neck, green beans, mushroom curry.
Excellent food and service!
Great food. Extremely small , and the noise super loud, I will come back for food. Not for date night
Very disappointing, as we had read such great reviews for so long. We made reservations a week in advance and were treating ourselves for the new year. First, parking under the pass although adequate, should have security of some sort. We arrived on time for our reservation, only to find ourselves standing awkwardly along with 5 other people for at least 5 min by the front door without being attended. There were maybe 4 tables inside and 4 tables outside with patrons. Finally when we were acknowledged we were ushered outside. We asked that we would like indoor, but were told it’s in a first come first serve basis and the indoor ones were taken. That made no sense. When pressing him again and letting him know we made reservations a week ago and no where did it say to choose im or out , he said we should have called. Makes no sense but bad start nonetheless. We asked the server for recommendations and he basically just listed a few items from the menu without explaining. We ordered a glass of wine and papadum with the tamarind chutney. They brought us the small complimentary chips and I asked for the chutney. Still all we had was the water. Then papadum was one and the chutney finally came, which was more of a syrup. The glass of wine arrived about 10 min later. We ordered chicken tikka that was all dark meat and had no flavor, the shrimp mulai which also was cut up shrimp pieces maybe 5 small shrimp total and the sauce again watery and lacking of flavor. The crispy cauliflower was the only dish that was nice and we’d order again. The mixed rice and grains was good in flavor. Dessert was the sticky bun and again nothing to write home
About. We had ordered a glass of dessert wine, that never came but was in the bill. It was removed from the bill, but there was never an apology or offer to rectify it. So so sorry, but either we went on a bad service day and the regular cook was sick or the reviews are written by non Indian cuisine connoisseurs.
Great place for the whole family
Good for lunch. Less noisy than in the evening. Limited set menu for USD 20. I had a good chicken tikka masala. The nan was also good
Nice friendly space - food very intriguing and super tasty
One of the most exquisite meals we’ve had in a long time. A farm to table concept for Indian food is rare, especially when the chef owns the farm himself! The use of locally sourced and available produced made for several perfectly matches variations to traditional Indian curries - kale saag paneer with corn, mushroom korma, chai ice cream sandwich. Ever dish was perfectly seasoned, and the service was very attentive. This is the place to go in Miami for Indian fare!
Amazing restaurant. Each course is a true experience. I have tried all the menu and everything is really good. Love it
We first discovered Ghee at the P.I.G. Festival in Nov. They stood out among a number of great restaurants so I treated my dad to the tasting menu with wine pairing for Christmas. As such, I can honestly say EVERYTHING on the menu is exquisite. The millet, plaintain chaata and fish curry were particulalry exceptional. The date cake with ginger ice cream and toffee... sigh. I could go on and on. Just go taste it for yourself. You won't be disappointed
We LOVED this place! The food was unique and outstanding! Our server was great. She recommended dishes and we took her up on it. We absolutely loved it.
Underwhelming food and below average service. Despite a reservation, we were (reluctantly) asked to sit at the bar or wait another hour for a table. I did not feel the warmth that i expect from an Indian restaurant. Food is sustainably sourced and organic but flavors were pretty standard.
Hello Tanya - You booked a table for 9 PM and arrived at 7:58 PM. Surely you understand that arriving an hour early for you pre booked reservation does not automatically guarantee you an early table. But even than, we got your table ready as soon as we could. We re always looking for ways to be better but please be accurate in the facts you display on a public platform.
Pointless to make a reservation — we had to wait 45 mins after. The place is woefully understaffed with a single person acting as front desk, seating ppl, taking orders and a kitchen staff is cleaning tables. There are only 3 options for lunch yet the food took forever to come out. Only saving grace is that the food is delicious!
Had the tasting menu. Great way to experience the food coming out of this kitchen. The menu says 3 course but it is really 3 parts and 16 courses. The staff is knowledgeable and informative. Plenty of parking right next to the restaurant.
Great love Ghee
I took clients to dinner on Saturday night and they loved everything. One of my favorites restaurants in the city.
Awesome food, the only minor issue we had is that they sat us outside even when there were multiple empty tables inside when we arrived. We were told "all tables were reserved" but when we left there were still at least 5 tables empty. It did seem a little rude from the hostess to sit us on the table on the street and not try to accommodate our party of 3 inside, specially since we had a reservation!!!
Love love love
Order the VEGAN tasting! Unfathomably delicious flavors that will blow your mind. An AMAZING two-hour parade of deliciousness!
5 STARS ALL THE WAY!
Hands down this is the BEST restaurant in MDD! The food and staff are AMAZING. I've been to Ghee numerous times and I always bring someone new to try it. It always lives up- and exceeds- the expectations I create!
Best tip I can give, is to order everything (okay, not all cause you won't be able to move, but order like 80% of the menu) if you're with a party of 4 or more. Mix the dishes and enjoy the party going on in your mouth!
If you're a little sensitive to the heat, order a strawberry (or Mango if they have it) lassi when they take your drink order, it's great to have and is delicious!!
Awesome! I will definitely visit again. Delicious food. Good cocktails.
Loved the food and service. Would recommend to anyone who visits Miami & loves Indian food.
The vegan options were delicious
Terrific Food and Service from Andres A. Will be visiting again and often.
Always amazing food, quality, and the price. Can’t wait to come back. Don’t forget to try the desserts!
Another great meal !!! Excellent !! Although I could tell our main man has travelled north , soon May the new head add their special magic to the food .
Amazing food, super friendly service team
Outstanding! Best Indian food in Miami! Everything is fresh and flavorful.
Fantastic mixture of authentic Indian and modern fusion. Perfect spicy vs non-spicy... Great service and atmosphere.....
We all loved the millet, avocado tuna bhel, pakora, shrimp curry and grouper. The naan was super fresh.
Great vibe. Excellent Indian cuisine. Delicious wine pairings. When we visit the Design District Ghee is a must after shopping!
If you like Indian food, you are gonna absolutely LOVE ghee. For starters, the service is always great. Then there is a drink menu with delicious cocktails made with sake, a wine list, and craft beers. The food is to-die-for. We got the cauliflower and plantains from the appz. section, the chicken tiki masala, and the fish + charred ribs and everything was extremely good. Of course, you can't forget the garlic naan (my favorite part). 10/10 would recommend.
Consistent and always enjoyable.
Service and food are very good, if not excellent.
Will continue to go, and bring others, who have yet to experience.
