   To preview I just got back a couple months ago from living in Italy for a year so I know my Italian food very well. Me and my dad went out to lunch. Our waiter Mr. Tony brought us inside, and seated us. Mr Tony was very kind and polite the entire time, coming back regularly to see if we were doing okay. We ordered classic Italian appetizers, cheese, meat, and prosciutto and melon, and lobster ravioli alla vodka for the main course. The food was absolutely exceptional. Throughout the entire experience I felt like I was reliving a day in Italy. The food was so good we were almost full with the appetizers, the restaurant was really cute and homie, and our waiter Mr Tony was so kind and friendly. I came out of that restaurant with my belly full and my heart smiling.

   The service is fantastic and the food is good. Its very clean and spacious. They do not bother you if you have been there for a little while so its a great spot for business meals.

   Myself and two friends went for dinner on Valentine's day, and from the moment we walked in the door we were treated like royalty! The staff was unbelievably friendly, the food was delicious, and it was a great experience overall. We got a pitcher of Sangria which was fruity but not juice-like, and for our meals we got the ravioli, bucatini bolognese, and chicken francese. Everything was perfectly delicious, and at the end of our meal the staff offered us a round of champagne & tiramisu on the house. It was an incredible experience, and made our dinner unforgettable! Will definitely return!

   We had never been to Arthur Avenue in the Bronx and didn't know where to eat. There were just a few reviews on Open Table for Gerbasi and we took a chance. We were greeted with enthusiasm, seated quickly and had a glass of wine offered to us immediately. I generally don't love chianti but we were served the best chianti we have ever had. We started with a shared order of fettucini Alfredo which was made with homemade pasta and was excellent, although very filling before our entrees. We would pick a lighter pasta next time or maybe an appetizer. Their fish entrees were a highlight. We had salmon with hearts of palm in a light lemon sauce which was spectacular, and filet of red snapper in a light tomato sauce. We have never had more delicious fish dishes anywhere! The whole experience was amazing and we would definitely return!!

   This is one of the many Italian restaurants in Bronx's Little Italy off Arthur Ave. We had just finished moving our son into Fordham for the year and took time to celebrate his birthday with some school friends. I chose Gerbasi because it was on Open Table and the ease making a reservation. We had 3 appetizers: traditional antipasto Italiano, octopus salad, and mozzarella caprese. All very good with fresh ingredients. For dinner I had chicken piccata and my wife had veal marsala. The chicken piccata was perfect, but the veal marsala was a little salty. My son is vegetarian and had the penne alla vodka. Large portions are served. We were disappointed when the desert options we wanted were not available. Otherwise a very nice dinning experience. They have an outside courtyard that was very nice that I would request the next time if the weather is good.

   the owner and chef changed the food was not good at all. the service and atmosphere were average. very disappointed used to love coming here for delicious meals. will not return

   Wait staff was very attentive.. and very accommodating . I'd go there again and recommend others to try it .

   This visit was our third or fourth visit to Gerbasi's. The food is excellent and very authentic. We love how it is popular with families and locals. The wait staff is always very friendly and professional. The restaurant is conveniently located and is great for family dinners as well as gatherings with friends. We will often come here to eat before or after shopping the Arthur Avenue Market and other local Italian specialty food shops. It's near Fordham University, the Bronx Zoo and Botanical Gardens; a great neighborhood and a neighborhood gem!
