Georgie – Beverly Hills Ratings and Reviews
The Burrata and fig appetizer consisted of a cup of tasteless cheese spread over with fig preserve and 3 or 4 thin slices of fresh fig. Main course King Salmon was served with a ruban of raw fennel and an orange sauce, the duck magret was nicely cooked . Both dishes were served luke warm and lagged seasoning, the veggie side dish was initially forgotten and brought when we were almost finished with our main course. The Pinot Noir we ordered was not available. On a Saturday night the room was more than half empty.
We were seated at a candle lite table on the patio overlooking the park. We ordered a five course tasting menu pricied at $85.00 per person and worth it. Our meal included an amuse bouche, delicious corn soup, crab salad, a beet risotto, a european fish we had never heard of served in a very nice cream sauce, beef cheeks and a rich but refreshing desert of berries and ice cream. We drank wine by the glass that was perhaps overpriced burt overall the meal was delicious, the service was professional and the experience was a very good one. Recommended and will be back
We were celebrating an anniversary and knew that the service and ambiance was great for a special occasion. The restaurant was fairly empty, which was surprising for a Friday night. We had a lovely and comfortable table and service was excellent. Attentive, patient, helpful without being annoying. Really first class service. The food was not as good as I had experienced previously. The menu had changed and the selection seemed pretty unimaginative. No real exciting dishes or anything very unusual or unique. The starters were all good but not amazing. The main courses were good but we ordered the lamb and it came with two rib chops. Very skimpy for the price. I have never been to a nice restaurant where they give you such a small portion for such high prices. The wine list is really overpriced and hard to find anything in a reasonable price range. The dessert selection was also fairly uninspiring, to the point where nothing really look good enough to sample. All in all, great ambiance and service. You feel like you are celebrating a special occasion. But the menu needs a better selection or more interesting dishes and the prices are high for the portion size.
I was unhappy that most of my favorite dishes left the menu, replaced by nothing of interest to me. Not one entree or starteer was appealing although the summer salad was nice and fresh tasting. I'm had to settle for a teeny and expensive bowl of agnolotti. . I won't go back. Chef is good, food was well prepared, service good as ever, just personally uninterested in the food,
Just my personal thing. If you like the menu, you will have a good experience.
The service is always stellar - the ambiance is lovely. I didn't like my meal the tenderloin was too salty and the portabella mushroom side dish didn't taste good to me at all. My friend liked her squid pasta. I ordered the summer salad and didn't like that either. It could just be a matter of my taste - but they do have a new chef.....
We waited FOREVER for our food! Over an hour. It was excruciating. The waitress said we would be having dessert 'on the house' because of the wait. It took almost as long for a plate of cookies as the silly salad, which didn't even come chopped as we asked. If you are hungry, don't go. If you have two hours to sit around and listen to excuses about the kitchen, it's an ok place.
The restaurant is great and beautifully decorated. Staff is lovely. ONLY issue is the valet which is understaffed and had people waiting for 20 + minutes while the poor valet ran back and forth to get each car. When we told the hostess about the valet, she recommended parking underground which is not a good solution as the lot is usually full (and also where the valet for Georgie's and the Montage where it is housed, park).
The valet and overall parking is so bad, I could easily see it being a turn off to people thinking about returning to the restaurant.
Loved this place. We went for brunch but apparently there is only breakfast or lunch. We arrived at 11:30 So that was lunch but they let us order off the breakfast menu anyway. Great for people watching, unlimited coffee, and the food was pretty good. Well, the French Toast was better than pretty good, that was outstanding. 😃
For a restaurant in the Montage Hotel I expected more ambiance. Seeing patrons in sleeveless tee shirts, torn jeans and tennis shoes not my idea of a classy joint. The prices were certainly worthy of classy attire ( 5 oz glass of Italian wine= $55.00!) Over all well below our expectations.
Our dining experience was absolutely amazing. The staff were friendly and very accommodating and attended to every request with smiles on thier faces. The food was fabulous. Spanish Octopus was tender, smokey, spicey and delicious. Order 2 salads... the tuna Niçoise salad and the Hanger steak salad... both were very fresh and delightful. And we got 2 desserts... one complementary and the other was the Vanilla Semifredo. To. die. For. We will return on another visit to Los Angeles and have dinner next time. Thank you Jeffery for having such an amazing restaurant that not only has delicious cuisine but also amazing service and staff.
The whole experience was wonderful. From the valet parking, to the seating hostess that greeted us, to the amazing host ( I choose not to use the word "server" because this guy Steve was dedicated to excellence and treated us like family), to the sommelier who went out of his way to find the bottles of wine I was craving, to the food that was exquisite, tasted and looked like a well tended garden. I could go on and on but this truly was almost a religious experience. Then we had dessert, and I felt like I went to heaven. The music was contemporary but classy, none of the common classes types. You could still have a conversation. Seating options available both indoors and out. This gem of a spot is highly recommended if you're in Beverly Hills. You deserve a treat.
This is a great restaurant in the heart of Beverly Hills and inside a fabulous hotel. You can also enjoy outdoor dining right by a beautiful city garden next to the hotel. The food and service is excellent, but the food is not as good as the previous version of this restaurant. And we are all missing the fabulous bread basket of version 1 too. That said, I'm a local and still eat here often especially when I have out of town visitors. It's good. And impressive location.
