Georgie is a prime Beverly Hills power lunching spot.
Out to eat special
the burger and Caesar was fabulous. our server Cameron was excellent. the place was basically empty... wouldn't return with so many other fabulous places in Beverly Hills. Not sure this place is going to make it.
Table was wobbly and it took two attempts with different bus boys to secure it. Service very slow and hard to get attention of our waiter after food was delivered and we wanted to order something more. Ambience is elegant and conversation-friendly.
Love going to Georgie! It's always quiet and close to my office on Canon Drive. The food was delicious and our waiter treated us like a king and queen! Very comfy, very casual, although it feels very elegant and I cannot recommend it enough. Enjoy!
Worth the time and money. Staff was superior and very engaging.
I have become a fan of Geoffrey Zakarian's television cooking. When my birthday was approaching, my room mate offered to take me to Georgie for dinner.
First, our server, Steven. Friendly and attentive but not pushy. He went out of his way to make our dining experience more enjoyable, and was just a great addition to a great meal. Super personality for the venue.
We started with craft cocktails that were delicious. I ordered a perfectly made Stoli martini, and my buddy ordered an outstanding gin gimlet, also delicious. Next I ordered an original cocktail made with vodka that was garnished with poached pear. The cocktails were truly extraordinary. We actually ended up spending more on cocktails than our entrees.
With the cocktails, we got the Za'atar spiced Parker house rolls. The menu says they are served with honey butter, but we got plain butter. This was one of the very few tiny disappointments. Make sure to ask for the honey butter when you order the rolls.
Appetizers. I got the beet salad with puffed quinoa, house made ricotta, and candied olives. This was delicious, but was missing the candied olives. My room mate got the dungeness crab salad which was very good.
We split an order of scallops. These were delicious, but extraordinarily rich. I am glad we split them.
For entrees I ordered the duck breast with port wine sauce and my room mate ordered the strip loin. The strip loin was the only thing we ate that was not extraordinary. It was a nice piece of beef that was well cooked, but not much more..
The duck breast was the star. It was the best tasting, best prepared duck I have ever had. This an crispy skin and cooked to perfection. Sauce worth licking off the plate. I happened to take a bite of one of the poached pears from my cocktail. WOW! I will ask that the duck be made with those poached pears when I return.
If you are looking for a great dining experience in Beverly Hills, definitely try Georgie.
We did the tasting menu for $85/pp. Some things were very tasty, others just okay. The servers were all nice, but some did not tell us what was in the dish being served.
Atmosphere was quiet and low key.
This place was very very disappointing. I booked based on reviews and was excited to see the place. It is small. Menu is very limited and I paid 285$ for four entrees and two drinks!
We got the salmon, halibut, meat duo and chicken and they were all HORRIBLE. No one finished their dish and when we tasted each other's food we could see why no one wanted to eat it.
By far the worst tasting dishes I have had in a long time. The service is good and the place is upscaled but the dinning itself sucks beyond belief.
The Jidori Chicken is easily the best chicken meat I've had my entire life. Food is surprisingly thoughtful and greatly executed. The ambiance is lovely as expected, elegant and sophisticated. Service is wonderful. Would be back for a casual, chill and chic dinner.
Food and taste of each dish was outstanding. But the dessert ruined whole experience of Valentine's Day. The pastry chef needed to be fired, literally. Dessert was dry, in tasty and I would make even make better one and I am not a baker. Other wise for the meal, we would recommend this place. Would be nice if we all got a rose, but ohh well......
The restaurant is pretty and cool, classy and neutrality. I liked, but didn’t live the ambience. Went on valentine’s Day. Corkage was $65.00, which is too high. Wine was pretty pricy. My wife had Chilean sea bass, which was excellent. I had steak, which was well cooked, but tasteless and chewy. We were charged$129 per person. Meh!
We were celebrating a friend’s special birthday. They were able to give us the private dining room for our party of 10 and it was perfect.
Our head waiter was great. And the food was also. A lovely evening!! Thank you
The tables and chairs were too small. I'm only 170 lbs. Almost felt like they wanted you to be uncomfortable so that you would eat and leave. For as fine a place as it is and the hotel which it is in, you would think they would get better chairs than what they have. You can see the chair pictures in the images on this website.
Great dinner and service. Food was prepared perfectly, drinks were delicious. Lovely decor. Would be good for a date, business or friends getting together
The service is excellent. I really enjoyed spending time at Georgie (and the food was delicious too). Started with the Kabocha Squash Soup with Roasted Chestnuts and Pepitas; next, Crab Tagliatelle with Lobster and Coconut Milk Sauce. For dessert, Bourbon Vanilla Panna Cotta with Meyer Lemon Sherbet and Basil Mint Sauce. Lovely from start to finish. Will definitely return.
If it weren't for the nice choices and reasonable prices for Dine LA we would have truly been disappointed. As a party of 3, 2 of us ordered their "touted" $25 hamburger. For Dine LA, the salad choice was delightful. The hamburger was below ordinary with its mealy grind of meat, a bare teaspoon of carmelized onion and lackluster house sauce. The pana cotta dessert was excellent with a touch of basil oil, micro basil and sorbet. If we had paid the $25 just for the burger it truly would have been a terrible lunch. The service was pleasant and surroundings rather dull, for newly remodeled, other than being in the lovely Canon/Beverly courtyard.
The food and service was amazing. The whole dining experience was spot on. Our waitress, Hanna, was super nice and attentive. She gave great recommendations. Loved the decor and ambience. I will definitely be returning.
It was a Great dine LA offer. Great food, service and restaurant.
The appetizers were amazing. The mushroom pasta was sour and tasteless. The short ribs were on the dry side but tasty. The vanilla pan a cotta with Meyer lemon sorbet a bit of heaven. They happily replaced it with a delicious piece of salmon.
Nice ambiance and great service. Portion size is small for price.
Comfortable setting with lovely ambience. A little slow on service initially but then improved. The drinks were good but the bread didn’t come out untold seconds before the food.
This place was wonderful. Service was impeccable (shout out to our fantastic server Steve). Wines and drinks were fabulous. The food was absolutely delightful. This was my first time at this restaurant and I will definitely return.
The food is amazing, but service was only ok. It's really, really expensive for what it is. We went for DineLA, and dropped just as much on drinks ($20+/each) & tea ($12/cup) as we did on the rest of the entire meal.
The night was perfect. I took my girl friend out for her birthday. The food had a very unique organic taste. With great ambiance, and a great wine selection. We had a very great time the entire evening. The servers were very friendly, and the food was made very fancy with gourmet flavors that your wouldn't believe. I was very pleased with the entire experience that I was given during my stay. Thanks very much. Being in the culinary field, I discovered a balance in all the foods that were presented to me, and my girl friend. The entire menu was outstanding. Thanks!
We went there for my wife’s birthday. Food and service were fantastic. Waitress was very attentive and friendly. Our 6.5 year old daughter was also with us enjoyed her meal.
Avoid, avoid, avoid!
Nice food but uninspired. Nice steak and duck, or salmon or oysters. For a top ranked chef, it was disappointing. But the high price mark-up was there. The biggest lack was the very poor wine cellar selection! Anyone can pick top-end, world renowned wines, which is all the person who collected this cellar did. If you want a wine over $1000, this is your place. The food, however tasty, did not demand this level wine. And as for the somm showing he knew wine and could find good bottles under $100, forget it. I went through the red list, which was many pages long, and could have counted all the wine available under $100 on two hands. And nothing, for some reason, for under $60. Really???
I don't plan on returning. The attitude of Zarcharian was screw the people in LA, I am not going to put any effort into this restaurant.
The best Christmas buffet in LA... we have tried them all!
Megan, Oscar and the rest of the team were amazing as always’
What a disappointment. W e have been here many times before and this was the worst experience. I ordered SPOT PRAWN & CRAB BUCATINI with Lobster & Coconut Milk Sauce, Thai Basil. There were no prawns and no basil, some pasta with a few pieces of celery and crab meat- no lobster or coconut sauce at all. I have had better pasta at Olive Garden! Never again
Amazing service - best i have had in a very long time. Really wonderful.
Georgie's is located in the Luxurious & elegant Montage Hotel and the restaurant is everything you would expect of a 5 star hotel. Georgie's has modern, yet comfortable décor and seating. This restaurant clearly sets itself apart from other restaurants in the area on three main grounds: food, customer service and ambience. As far as food goes, this is pretty clear: the menu was upscale New American fare and their cocktails were quite unique. Their menu was extensive, both in terms of ingredients, creativity and taste. Georgie's staff were very attentive but never invasive, and all the staff were extremely friendly & professional. As for the ambience of the restaurant, it was very chic & stylish, which sets the right kind of atmosphere for a very positive dining experience. I felt comfortable and enjoyed the experience at restaurant this restaurant and would highly recommend it.
Our server was exceptional. The restaurant overall was very accommodating and food was delicious...gluten free options!
The brunch menu is much more appetizing than the lunch menu. We tried a couple of items on the lunch menu, and none of them made me think that the food was worth the price. Service was great (as expected), but food did not meet or exceed my expectations.
This was a very disappointing experience. My boyfriend and I had visited before and the food quality used to be much better.
Holiday dinner
Service was slow, but food was nice. Maybe it was the time of day we arrived on a Sunday afternoon
The food and presentation were wonderful but the service was horrific. My friends all said they would never go back.
Thanksgiving Spread @ Georgie was one of the Finest Dining Experiences, I’ve ever had in my Life! Food was Fabulous, Service was Excellent, Entire Experience was Incredible!
Was a little pricey for the thanksgiving brunch but food was very good!!
I went to Georgie with 6 friends to celebrate a special occasion. The service was top notch and perfect given the celebration!
