Amazing view that cannot be beat!! The food and drinks were delicious and warm chocolate cake was heaven! The servers, host and waiters are all keen to meet your expectations :)
Table was ready right at our reservation time. We Enjoyed a beautiful lunch. The fish tacos were delicious and my ladies fish sandwich was described as “exactly what I wanted” very good selection
Always a beautiful setting. Slow start with no acknowledgement (even water) but server made up for it, going the extra for us. If it is restaurant week and you have specials the hostess should explain why there were 4 menus thrown down on the table. Why wait for the sever to explain when you can start reviewing?
The fish tacos are always a must and the chocolate cake was delicious.
We enjoyed a casual lunch and were 1st time visitors to George's Ocean Terrace even though we live in San Diego. We were totally pleased with the service, our waiter and the delicious food. We followed our waiter's recommendation and he was spot on. Cocktails were mixed as desired and promptly served. Overall an Excellent Experience and we'll definitely be back.
As always great experience ! Contemporary food, simple , artistic and delicious. Reasonable price. We got a next to ocean table and enjoyed spectacular view. Service was excellent.
Didn't love the mussels appetizer (too fishy - not sweet like good seafood should taste) or the Pork Tacos. Everything else was excellent.
Arrived early yet seated immediately. Fabulous view, great food, efficient service. You can’t beat this spot.
One of our favs when visiting Southern California!
Atmosphere was great and the view was spectacular. However, no sunset view during January but the water view was still incredible. Great wine list with not as high of a markup as I would have expected.
View was amazing however food was very limited. I don't think they even served chicken during their lunch.
Really awesome experience with really great service! Ceviche was awesome and the food was very well prepared.
Excellent as always. Consistently great atmosphere, great service, and great food!
My favorite restaurant ever!
We decided to have dinner at George’s Ocean Terrace based on the recommendation of our colleague who dined here before and we were not disappointed. From the service, ambiance, and amazing food, this establishment will certainly be on our short list of restaurants to come to when we travel to the San Diego area.
Food was great and staff were very friendly. We sat outside and although chilly we stayed warm with the heat lamp and blankets that they offered.
Just a beautiful night with an incredible view and excellent service and food!
Atmosphere and service were both wonderful, food was ok. Left with a stomach ache, not sure what the hype is about!
Un fin de año aburrido
New Years celebration
What a view. Overlooking the cove, hearing the ocean and the seal lions and the surrounding view. Toss in a nice menu and great service with reasonable prices and you have a great place for just the two of you or a party if you wish.
It was my mom's 90th birthday and everyone was really nice and attentive to her. She had a great time.
New Year’s Eve holiday
The food was exceptional. The service was not that great with infrequent checking in on our table. Also the 3% surcharge for their employers salaries is ridiculous!
Been to George’s in the past - thisvidit didn’t live up to our past experiences
It was ok. Just not very good, and not good enough to want to go back
The best place on the La Jolla cove came back after 13 years felt the same ....
For the past several years we have made a point of having lunch at George's Terrace when in town visiting family. It is always a great experience - great food and service and an ocean view that can't be beat. It was a little chilly and we were even offered blankets.
Not worth it at night
Too cold. Heaters don’t give adequate coverage
Food was average but cost is premium
No view at night.
Service wasn’t attentive.
They might be great on a summer night w a view. Winter - don’t bother
Not what we expected. Good drinks and food was acceptable but not what we would have hoped to see from a Trey Foshee restaurant.
This is billed as a great place to watch the sun set. It is NOT! The sun sets behind a building. It does have a view of the beach and the seals but it is not good for viewing a sunset as it is marketed!!! Ran out of 2 different menu items at 3:30 pm. Menu is seafood heavy and not for meat lovers.
Fantastic view of the La Jolla cove. Great cocktails and good food. Felt server was mediocre - not very attentive nor friendly. Good service from busboys.
As always, the ocean terrace tables are amazing to enjoy La Jolla scenery. Good service and nice food & drinks represent their quality. Will go back again next time we’re in town.
Just the best place to look at the cove, enjoy the great La Jolla weather and eat consistently great food.
We had a great time at George, good food, the service outstanding and the view lovely, congratulations
The view is what you're here for! Ignore the mediocre American food and have a cocktail with a view
As usual this is my favorite place to celebrate my birthday or anniversary. Never disappoints
Used to go to George's years ago, and was excited to return on a recent trip to San Diego. My family and i had a reservation, and were seated at table under a loud speaker right next to hostess stand. It was not the best table. So, we moved downstairs and got a nice table against the glass partition with a great view on the 2nd floor. Service and food were excellent.
I sent it last week already , the service was excellent, the waiter at top of the cove was very attentive, and the young lady downstairs her attention to us was excellent.
Been there many times, it used to be a great place, but it has certainly declined in all aspects. It has a great view so sad to see this place go downhill. It still gets crowded around the sun sets. If you don't mind paying $100 to watch the sun set then its a great place for you.
