Reservations are non-refundable & a credit card is required to book. Guests can change dates/transfer a reservation up to 1 week prior to dining after which there is a 20% re-booking fee. Cancellations are billed $215 per guest.

Saturday's dinner with my wife and close friends was one of the best I've ever had in Chicago - and I'm a serious foodie. Michael is not only a very talented and classically-trained French chef, he has an incredible eye for detail. From ordering specially-designed tableware to selecting only the finest ingredients to creating inventive dishes that are beautifully presented, his skill is always in evidence. And Sergio is a talented and delightful somm. They make an exceptional pair.
A Michelin Star worthy dining experience in a beautiful room with top notch service. Every course on the pre-fixe menu consisted of delicious, and aesthetically beautiful, creations. The wine pairings were perfect.
This is truly an intimate and decadent dining experience. Presentation and flavor profiles nothing short of amazing. Chef personally delivered and explained the composition of every course. Great use of seasonal ingredients including fresh black truffles in several of the courses. Available with various levels of wine pairings - we selected the intermediate level and they were happy to make a substitution for my husband who does not enjoy champagne. Would have liked a vegetable course perhaps in place of a pre-dessert, dessert or post dessert. This small dining room is stark white -including walls, ceiling and tables, could use a little softening, perhaps dimmer lighting?

We had always wanted to go there but we’re saving it for a special occasion. It was my husband’s birthday and we decided to go and the evening was amazing!
There is no better fine dining experience in Chicago. Michael Lachowitz is to modern French cuisine what Michael Jordan was to basketball. Every dish is the work of a rare genius. While every course is special, the pot de feu (which is always included in the degustation but varies in ingredients and preparation from from one season to the next) stands out. It is as close to perfection as mere mortals can achieve. The wine pairings are far superior to similar pairings at other degustation dinners around town -- carefully paired premier and grand crus from Burgundy and Bordeaux. To top things off, Michael personally describes every course, and treats every customer as his special guest. The wait staff is incredibly professional while further making each customer feel at home. This is an amazing place.

As always, GT was fabulous! It definitely is our favorite restaurant in Chicago! Michael's food is amazing, and his enthusiasm shines through. Sergio Angel is wonderful at matching wines with each course, and giving background information on the vintage and vineyard. Alfredo takes great care with each diner, making sure you have all that you need.

Chef Michael made our trip for my birthday very exceptional. He makes very complex foods accessible. The small size of the venue is excellent and the food is quite frankly unbelievable. I would highly recommend George Trois to both my "foody" and "non-foody" friends.
We've dined at Michael's many times, but this experience at George Trois was so high level as to be one of the best meals we've had in years. The courses were complex in taste and appearance with layers of taste that were intense and true to the ingredients, but were approachable & didn't need instructions on how to eat them. The wine flight was a perfect compliment to the courses.
The staff as always were perfectly helpful and friendly. Its always a pleasure to see them.
Why drive downtown and sit in traffic when George Trois is so easy to get to and the food for its value is better than most restaurants in the city. Chef Michael is imaginative, creative, his food is tasty and the overall experience is the best. Where are you Michelin?
I treated a friend here for her 25th birthday this past Sunday night 9/29/19! We chose the 12-course Premium Wine Flight meal! It was SPECTACULAR! I’m surprised I made it to work the next day! (Thank God, I work from home!) Each course was beautifully, meticulously and creatively prepared and presented personally by Chef Michael himself! He was so classy, charming, witty, brilliant and down to earth! We were both so impressed and enthralled by the ingenuity and amazing flavors of each of his amazing courses plus the awesome wine that Trois’ astute, expert sommelier paired each course with! In addition, we had a great time being expertly served by Alfredo, who was extremely charming, engaging, professional and attentive! We are definitely planning on coming back plus also checking out the other 2 restaurants that are under the same roof and owners (Aboyer and Silencieux)!!

Intimate setting in the small George Trois dining room is perfect for any occasion. The Chef was very personable, presenting and serving each dish of the 12 course menu with a detailed culinary composition of each dish.
The presentation and food was simply delicious and inventive. The portions were appropriate and plentiful. By the time we completed our meal over a leisurely schedule, complimented by a very well chosen pairing with 4 flights of wine, we were pleasantly satisfied without being overly stuffed.
The service and personal attention was unsurpassed. I travel extensively and have had the pleasure of eating at some of the finest restaurants in the world. This may not be a three star Michelin rated restaurant, but definitely ranks up there in service, amiability and culinary experience. My wife and I will definitely return.
For those of you who may ask: price is commensurate to the experience.
As always- Chef Michael was in top form. This menu was creative without being weird and the presentations were beautiful. The best thing about his tasting menus here is that they have a variety of flavors and textures that keep you wanting a few more bites (with the added benefit of not stuffing you to the point of groaning). The entire staff - Sergio - Alfredo - Xander and Chef make the evening a special experience for anyone prescient enough to reserve in the intimate dining room. A first class act.

As we entered the restaurant we were seated at the bar to wait. It was extremely noisy but I wasn't concerned until we were taken to George Trois. The noise followed us into George Trois and we were immediately worried that the extreme noise outside would ruin our very expensive evening!!!! Our hearts sank.
However, as the first hour progressed, the noise outside became less of an issue with the help of piped in music that was right over our table. But.......every time a guest left the room and returned, the noise followed.
We wish that the management would find a way to insulate George Trois from the invasive noise of the other two restaurants.

My husband and I have been here many times. It has become exceptional. The food is delicious and beautifully presented. The service is above and beyond perfect. We have been to Alinea where you go hungry because each course is only a bite. Everest is good but Michael has exceeded it. And why drive downtown? We have been to Michelin star restaurants in Amsterdam and Paris. I am name dropping so you know that we know of which we speak

Quite frankly, this was the best tasting menu food wise I've ever had. And in the last year and a half I've experienced 10 Michelin stars plus worth of tasting menus. The food was simply exquisite from darn near start to finish. The stumbles were courses that were just great.
Well, let’s get this out of the way - George Trois is an expensive restaurant, however, for that really special occasion, it was well worth it. After my girlfriend’s 66th birthday dinner, she walked away saying that the entire meal was ‘Magnificent”. I had made reservations almost two months in advance. The restaurant did make a phone call and send an e-mail as a reminder, which is always nice when the reservation was that far in advance. When you walk in to the door of the restaurant, you actually have three restaurants. Once we advised the host, we were seated at the bar in Aboyer. We actually observed them preparing our soon to be sipped - mojitos. Shortly after 6 p.m., we were taken in to the dining area (restaurant) that is George Trois. It is stark, white and everything is perfectly presented and placed. We were seated directly in front of the fireplace which was nicely light up. There are only five tables, though the evening that we were there, only four were utilized. There are 12 total courses and the total length of time was about 3 ½ hrs. Oh, and yes, there are no menus. We were seated by Alfredo, who was very personable, attentive & efficient during the entire meal. The cuisiniere, Chef Michael Lachowicz, serves each of the five tables individually and some of the courses, are actually prepared and describe while he is at the table. The sommelier assisted us in a wine selection and a riesling was chosen. We are not huge wine drinkers, so we decided not to go with any type of individual wine pairing for each of the courses. Chef Michael came to the table and introduced himself and started our dining experience with a huckleberry-jito, That was delicious and was the perfect start of the evening. I almost felt guilty having the Diet Coke from the bar still sitting on the table! The second course presented was white asparagus beignet with a spring pea soup. Each of the courses was perfectly timed and paced. The
If Michelin stars were awarded on the north shore, Georg Trois would be in consideration for two. This was a truly exceptional dining experience. As it should be, the food was the star of the show - inventive, flavorful, interesting, beautiful. Chef Michael's personal presentation each course added so much to the enjoyment. And the dining room as as lovely and as intimate as any I have had the pleasure of enjoying. This is a restaurant too good to be reserved for special occasions.

The creative dishes, perfectly prepared and presentations with dinnerware and timing make George Trois a premier addition to our Chicago restaurant scene.
