   Very good and catered for one member being a coeliac. It was drafty sitting by the window upstairs in the bay so would not like to sit there again Overall experience very good and plan to eat there again

   We had a lovely Sunday lunch which was one of the best that we have had for some time. Would highly recommend it. Didnt recognise that it was a birthday lunch despite mentioning it when we booked. However cannot fault the food and service. Thank you very much.

   Wow!!!!! BIG compliments to the chef- we ate on Sunday, 2adults and a child. We ordered the roast chicken for 2 to share and an extra plate for our little one. The food was amazing... Beautifully cooked chicken, stuffed with fresh thyme, garlic and onion for flavour... Lovely roast veg, amazing roasties... Was so good I don't want to tell anyone. The G&D was v hit and miss over a year ago and since it has been taken over the food is a consistent hit. Friendly staff that have all heen there a while. Thank you!

   Really beautiful old timbered barn. Good menu with lots of choices. Generous (arguably too) portions. Gastropub fare but very upmarket. Could have done with some lighter options for those sliming down post Xmas. A definite return visit for us.

   Since the change in ownership it’s nice to see our local pub back to its best for food. Meals were delicious. Ambience left a bit to be desired as restaurant v quiet, but that’s probably due to the fact it was first week of Jan. Given the quietness, the service left a bit to be desired in terms of speed. Very friendly and professional waiting staff but not impressed it took so long to get the second two main meals out, eg 4-5 minutes after the arrival of the first two plates. So two of our party started in order not to let the food get cold. Overall though s lovey pub with good food, great local ingredients and an asset to our village.

   Friday night only 3 tables occupied may be its the 12% service compared with other good local pubs / restaurants thats puts people off. Competitors were very buy in comparison en route.

   Delicious food and good service. Perfect evening. We had the lamb which was amazing, and a fish fillet which was beautifully cooked.

    Been more than once and every time the experience has been very good. Great service, good food, delicious gin drinks/cocktails.
