The service was perhaps the worst I ever had! Our waiter, Garret, had attitude and ignored us before it even got crowded. The wait staff and kitchen staff seemed to be working hard, but food was very delayed in being served. Everyone seemed a bit frantic. I have a reservation here for next week that I will probably cancel.

Went for Valentine’s Day and the food was awful. The guacamole was brown and had been stirred up to cover it. The guacamole was also stringy as if made from old avocados. Later in the meal my wife’s chicken had avocados with multiple little areas of browning. Everything was under seasoned. My crime brûlée had been sitting around so long it was separated and liquidy. When I sent it back the next one had had the sugary top lifted up to see if it was ok and the had a really thick layer of sugar over charred to cover that up. Service was mediocre and I frequently had to ask for drink refills. We have eaten here before and it was good but after this on Valentine’s Day I will never go back.

Let me just say I’ve never felt the need to write a negative review for a restaurant. But it’s 3 days later and I’m still upset. I arrived at Geogeskes on Monday night (11/4) at 7 to celebrate my friend’s birthday. I picked the place, and made reservations (which weren’t needed, the place was pretty dead). Anyways, from the get go we ordered drinks and engaged in good conversation. Instead of having a relaxing, enjoyable experience, we were constantly interrupted to ask if we were ready to order. Now, there’s a courteous way to interrupt and ask patrons this, and this was definitely not done. Our waitress finally brings the salads and while we are still enjoying the salads, brings out the food (I ordered the steak, he ordered the salmon). Now, my friend wasn’t even halfway done with his salad when his salmon was brought out and I wasn’t done with my salad either. Needless to say food was cold once we finished our salads. You couldn’t keep the food warm?! He asked for a takeout box to take the rest home. At around 9:15, they started picking up the sugar packets from the tables, blowing out the table candle lights, and actually turned on some additional lights that made the place brighter. My question is, what was the damn rush??! It was only us and another larger table. By the end of it I was so embarrassed that I had picked this place.

We had not been to Geogeske in awhile and are glad that we decided to go. The food was delicious as always--still the best crab cakes around. We will definitely return. Service was also excellent even though it was a very busy night.

Went on a very busy Sat night. Sat at the bar. I thought by being at the bar (second group at bar) that we woukd be well attended to Food drinks silverware etc all came in a choppy manner. Difficult to get bar tenders attention. Food was okay - nothing spectacular being a cook myself. Overrated for price
