We visited Genovese for the first time this past weekend and thought the food was excellent. They started us out with some complementary bread which was very good....I was disappointed they didn't offer another round of bread to go with the meal after we finished off the first sample. The appetizer was very good, so no complaints there. The main course for both of us was very delicious. The Lobster Ravioli was excellent and my wife enjoyed the Fettuccini Alfredo with grilled Chicken. The service we had was good - not above or below average. We will certainly repeat as customers in the future.
Great food and especially good mussels!
Our dinner was disappointing 4 of us ordered what we remember as our favorite pasta ..
Bolognese with mushrooms. There may have been one teaspoon of meat, a few sliced mushroom and some olive oil. There were fresh herbs (stems in the pasta to prove it). Pretty. blah. One ordered pizza and it was good. All in All ...expensive and not impressive. Probably go for mexicannexttime 😐
Food was excellent! A little noisy but service was good inspire of being a busy night. Would go back again and would recommend to a friend.
Excellent food and service. We always enjoy coming here.
This restaurant was one of the best places that I have ever gone to. This place is insanely expensive, especially for a broke college student, but it is definitely worth spending the money at least one time to make your significant other happy.
Superb. Try the mussels. Delicious!!!!
Food was excellent as always. The service was hit and miss, but not terrible, just not as great as it can be. They have a good wine menu. The dinner menu is not large, but reasonable and not overwhelming like some. All in all it is a good restaurant we plan to continue to frequent.
The bruschetta was different (it was cream cheese) but still very good. I had a chicken breast with tomatoes and a balsamic glaze and it was good, clearly the best dish at the table. There were complaints about small and inconsistent size of the lamb chops. Also, it came with gnocchi which nobody seemed to care for. I tried it and it was just ok. My wife had a very rich ravioli which was good, but overly creamy and hard to eat in one sitting. Lots of left-overs, except for me, and they seemed better the next day. This was our second trip to Genovese and probably our last.
Even though there is always a crowd, we can almost always get a table at Genovese. A few welcome changes but still with popular favorites on the menu. The flambé d creme brûlée was a big hit
