Gene and Georgetti - Rosemont
served Broiled, Limone, or Vesuvio
Family get together for a pre dinner before our baby shower. Fantastic service and even better food!
Food and service was very good. Garbage salad is the best.
Delicious, excellent steak, beautiful setting, superb service. Second visit, the Vesuvio potatoes that were so memorable from my first visit, were a bit late to the table, and not quite as done as they should have been. Superb flavor though, and the brussel sprouts were awesome, first try at those, yummy. Also they were happy to let my colleague and I share a bone-in rib eye steak, since it was so large, and split it for us in the kitchen.
First time at the restaurant and the overall experience was great, good was good and plentifully. We will be back!
Restaurant was closed, why were we able to make a reservation and why were we not contacted?
Been there before with a better experience. Didn't care for how my filet was prepared. Too crusty on outside and dry. For being 'restaurant week' menu items weren't all that great.
Even though we miss Gene & Georgetti's at their Chicago location, we were pleasantly surprised with our dining experience at your Rosemont location! The service was superior...our waiter was very attentive and made our birthday celebration a wonderful memory! The food was excellent...my husband loves the pepper steak and while it was not on the menu, the chef specially prepared it for him. Angelo, the maitre d', welcomed us...it was wonderful to see him at this location, and he made sure our dining experience was perfect! Angelo makes dining at G&G special and he represents G&G with great pride. The food was delicious, the service was perfect and that makes G&G one of our favorite restaurants.
Overall exceptional experience! Great ambiance, service. The steaks 🥩 are just the very best! Only knock was a baked potato and “house” potatoes were not warm. Will still recommend.
Sergio and Colin are great hosts and David is the best server. Always a favorite and food is the best. A super value and best venue.
Food was good....service was much improved over my last few visits to this location....environment is always lovely....food portions were substantial....
Above par service- sat at bar table and bartenders and bar servers went above and beyond to provide a great experience great food and drinks We will be back soon
Food was delicious! Only issue was our brussel spourts didnt get to the table until we are all about done with our meal.
Beautiful restaurant and nice atmosphere but very salty food. Would not recommend.
Extremely expensive for what it is. I don’t go to steakhouses like this at all, now I remember why. My husband got a steak, which was very good but the rest of us got fish, lobster mac and cheese, a salad. For six ppl it was $500 with tip. Unfortunately all the restaurants around this area are similar in menu and price. We were there on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty empty. The service was good but again, that is the expectation. Drinks were just ok. We are in the food business and I just wasn’t impressed.
It was the best Skirt Steak I have ever had! Great service and great Ambiance. Its what a Chicago Steakhouse should be! Cristiano is the best!
Food was poor , eggplant parmigiana was under seasoned and swimming in sauce . The lasagna was cold in the center and under seasoned as well. Very disappointed with this restaurant. And the money that got washed down the drain .
Nicely prepared steaks and wonderful service
Disappointing. No Merlot wine. A glass of red wine now is a ridiculous $17. Requested a side of aujus for my
Filet Mignon and the waiter brought a heavy gravy, explaining that they no longer serve aujus because they stopped serving prime rib! This restaurant used to be our favorite. No longer. The price increases we’ve noticed over a
6 month period are not reasonable. Something has changed there. To bad.
And no long waits for food
Phenomenal service, food was fantastic.
Loved it ! Always good food and great service!!
Very satisfied with all the elements the restaurant has to offer. Our old-fashions were just right to start things off. The crusty bread was crunchy on the outside and soft in middle. His ribeye and my filet mignon were cooked to our preference and perfection. The lobster Mac and cheese was cheesy and chunks of lobster plentiful for the dish. The tiramisu so was light and fluffy, my husband got a second one for himself. We left with our belly’s full and happy. Service was great and Juan, our waiter took such great care of us! Definitely made our experience, one we want to return to!
Our waiter was terrific
Excellent food and outstanding service. My two primary requirements.
Great food, great ambiance. Great date night location.
Service was so good. Appetizers seemed like they were frozen.
not fresh. Sausage and peppers were really good. Salmon only fair.
Their special potatoes were bland and overcooked again like out
Of freezer. This restaurant used to have a fabulous reputation now it’s no better than mediocre restaurant.
We won’t go back
Worth another try but special was over priced for 48 dollars even though it came with salad and desert. Service was exceptional though.
Like the G&G downtown - impeccable service and great food. This is a no BS kind of place - real food for real people. Location is perfect for folks coming in from ORD or are out in that area. Easy for folks to get to from every corner of the Chicago-land area. Perfect for business meetings or just a quiet get-together.
Outstanding dinner. Great cocktails, large menu, fantastic service and beautiful atmosphere. If we lived in the area we would eat here often.
Restaurant was busy as most tables were seated, and we still got great service! Food was great as our group ordered 12 oz Filet, 20 Oz Ribeye and Chicken Limone. All dishes were excellent. Be aware beef is cooked in a broiler which will give it some char on the top. Be sure to try a pasta also as we had the Gnocchi which was excellent.
Price was reasonable for a high end steak house.
If you really want a treat try the Carpaccio appetizer. The Carpaccio was absolutely FANTASTIC. I could have ordered another one and that would have been my dinner.
My birthday dinner was wonderful. Delicious food and excellent service!
Somehow they didn’t mark our reservation as being there so open table thought we didn’t show! We had 3 different people waiting on us with no communication so they kept forgetting things! Never did get our coffee and they made us feel rushed!! Poor service!!!!!
Always great under the new chef.
Food was flavorless, terrible value and way over priced.
We went during Restaurant Week so the menu of course was limited. The appetizers were probably the best part of the meal; Calamari Fritti and Carpaccio di Manzo, both very good!
We ordered the Chicken Joe bone it, but it came boneless. The Surf n Turf 4oz filet was ordered medium but was overcooked. For dessert we both had bread pudding but it's not served as the pudding like texture I know. Ice cream on the side, the bread "pudding" seemed dry but flavorful, it was just ok.
Our waiter seemed rushed with the chicken entrée mistake, and served bourbon on the rocks, with no ice.
My husband and I went for restaurant week. I made reservations online and we waited less than 5 min before we got seated. Our waiter gave us water, menus, and bread then he said he will be with us shortly. We waited almost 30 min to order and he rarely came back to check us. Overall the food is good..
Host and bussers were not very attentive. Sat four us down in a booth which was difficult to sit in with jackets. We had a toddler with us didn’t even offer for a booster or high chair had to ask for it. Our table was only set for 2 people. So all night we were asking for extra silverware. Server asked us if we wanted drinks but we were never given a cocktail list and had to wait longer for him to bring one. Overall I heard lots of good things about this place but was disappointed the food was also just okay. The cream spinach was horrible it tasted like it had mint in it. Took one bite and discarded it. The best part of this dining experience was the bread basket that was free.
Very disappointing as we have previously always enjoyed our meal. It was busy- we were fine with that and weren’t in a hurry
Took ten mins for waiter to take our drink order. Ok, we weren’t in a hurry. Ordered dinner. Salad came fine. We noticed that one person would bring the trays of food out and leave them near the table for the waiter to serve. Our food came out and sat on a tray for no more than a min or two. My steak was fine but my wife’s dish was cold. Tried the spinach side and it too was cold. Finally got the waiter’s attention and took it back. By the time he finally returned with the food at least 6-8 mins had passed. It was warmer but not hot. It was like they heated it and then it sat in the kitchen for that 6-8 mins.
Ordered coffee. Took quite a while to bring two cups of coffee. Guess what— coffee was not hot. Got waiters attention and took several minutes to bring new cups. Again warmer but not hot. Did get a refill that was hotter.
The waiter kept apologizing all through the dinner for how long everything was taking. Anyway - if they had a specific problem in the kitchen that fact would probably have been a good thing to communicate
For the prices they charge exemplary service should be the norm.
