Gene and Georgetti is Chicago's original steakhouse since 1941. This family-owned establishment housed in Chicago's third oldest building serves the finest prime-aged steaks and chops, pastas, & signature dishes invented here such as The Garbage Salad and Chicken alla Joe. Our curated wine list originates from our roots in Lucca, Tuscany, Italy - we concentrate on Italian varietals that complement our classic Italian steakhouse menu.

Securely processed credit card info is required to secure a reservation. No-shows or cancellations within 48 hrs will be charged $25 pp.
As a reminder we do have a 15 minute grace period to honor your reservation, past that time your reservation will be forfeit.
Valet parking after 3pm is $15 cash.
Our dress code is Business Casual- you never know who you might see at G & G!
Gene & Georgetti can accommodate your party of up to 100. .
Our restaurant has two floors ,and there is no elevator ,please let us know if you require special accommodation.

    Absolutely fabulous. Introduced my 26 year old son to the Chicago restaurant scene. (He’s moving ther from Philly soon.) Perfect pick. Food, staff, management…perfect in every way.

    Steak was meh, especially for the price point of the steak ... not nearly as good as in previous years. Pasta and chicken parm was fantastic.

    Having dined at several upper end steak houses, G&G rates as good as any of them. Steaks were prepared exactly as ordered and came out hot. Cobb salad was excellent, really liked the thick bacon and blue cheese dressing. Brussels sprouts was seasoned well and served hot. Waiters did a nice job as well.

    Everything was fabulous. The chicken Joe was outstanding. I’m still thinking about my dinner from last night. Only thing is I didn’t like having to climb a flight of stairs in heals, and then down again after a glass of wine. Next time I’ll request a table downstairs/main level.

    Always the best vibe in this restaurant. It is easy dining, delicious food, the best service , and pulsating with Chicago DNA. At our table , we collectively ordered and enjoyed the sausage and peppers, calamari, then steak salad, strip steak and pasta. Only because it was a birthday celebration, we also had the celebration cake. Service was impeccable as always. You are greeted upon entering and treated special through the evening. If you have not been to G&G, this is the OG steak house of the country. Highly recommend.
