Gene and Georgetti is Chicago's original steakhouse since 1941. This family-owned establishment housed in Chicago's third oldest building serves the finest prime-aged steaks and chops, pastas, & signature dishes invented here such as The Garbage Salad and Chicken alla Joe. Our curated wine list originates from our roots in Lucca, Tuscany, Italy - we concentrate on Italian varietals that complement our classic Italian steakhouse menu.

Securely processed credit card info is required to secure a reservation. No-shows or cancellations within 48 hrs will be charged $25 pp.
As a reminder we do have a 15 minute grace period to honor your reservation, past that time your reservation will be forfeit.
Valet parking after 3pm is $15 cash.
Our dress code is Business Casual- you never know who you might see at G & G!
Gene & Georgetti can accommodate your party of up to 100. .
Our restaurant has two floors ,and there is no elevator ,please let us know if you require special accommodation.

    I had not been in years (since 2019) and I realized how much I missed the food and people. This is the second visit in less than a week (friend’s birthday and today was a Mother’s Day dinner). Our server, Antonio was great. And yes I will have dinner there again…. Very soon!

    Great night celebrating a medical school graduation!! Matt provided great service and expertly shared his knowledge of the menu and streak cuts! We had a fantastic meal!!

    Late afternoon yesterday, we reached out to Angelo to ask him on a very busy Saturday night if we could double the size of our party because my daughter wanted to bring her out of town friends to eat at Gene’s with us. In typical Angelo fashion, he accommodated us with kindness and generosity. We were so appreciative since we know we made a big ask on such a busy night. The restaurant was rocking. We ordered almost the whole menu and every dish was perfection. Thank you to everyone at Gene’s who gave us a perfect evening! We truly are grateful.

    The food and service were both excellent!! We took my grandson who is a sophomore at Northwestern and he loved the prime rib and all the vegetables we shared - especially the mashed potatoes! We shared the delicious chocolate cake for a yummy dessert!!

    An iconic Chicago steakhouse. The meals are amazing the drinks are strong and the service is impeccable. You will meet staff that has worked here for deacdes. The experience here is not something you will forget and makes this choice an excellent value. Say hi to Emilio!

    Excellent food and service. Juan, our waiter, guided us through the menu and made great recommendations. The food is always on point and the history of this restaurant makes us coming back for more. Always a treat to dine here.

    The restaurant was outstanding and the service was even more superior. Our favorite servers (Juan and JJ) always make us feel at home and are engaging and thoughtful. Last night, Juan brought my husband a tequila to taste since he thought he may like it. We ordered steak and salmon and vegetables and the best cottage fries around. And the meal was only enriched by the host Angelo who is truly the BEST in the business.
