   At first they wanted to seat us at the bar, said no. But they insisted that was also reservations seats. Anyhow, I wasn’t a fan of that… we waited an additional 10-15mins for a table. Food is unmatched…excellent. Would 100% go back. If they would explain where the seatings are while making reservations- they would have gotten a 5 star. Overall food is great, our waiter was excellent. The girls at the front are okay, they need more training. But the chefs are excellent because the food is always great.

   I have visited this restaurant three times now, and each time I’ve been impressed by the quality of the food, the exotic flavors, the wonderful atmosphere, and the exceptional service. However, I feel the need to share a disappointing experience from my most recent visit, as I believe it highlights an area for improvement. I had a reservation for 9:00 PM to celebrate my wife’s birthday—a special occasion we were both looking forward to. Upon arriving on time, we were informed by the hostesses that we would need to wait approximately 45 minutes for our table. Despite having a confirmed reservation, we were not seated until 10:00 PM. This delay was not only frustrating, but also quite disheartening, especially given the significance of the evening. While I understand that walk-in guests may sometimes face a wait, I expected better planning and communication from the restaurant for those with reservations. Being asked to wait 45 minutes with no prior notice or explanation felt unprofessional and inconsiderate. Out of respect for the occasion and because it was too late to find another option, we decided to wait. But it was a disappointing way to begin what was supposed to be a joyful celebration. My wife was visibly disheartened, which made the experience even more difficult for me. I truly hope the management will take this feedback into consideration and improve their reservation system and customer communication. I still believe in the potential of this restaurant, but consistency and professionalism—especially for special events—are essential.

   It was my first time dining at Gekko and have heard good things! Our reservation was at 10pm. and didn't get seated till about 20 after. The host at the stand wasn't very friendly but the rest of the staff were great. The drinks were good as well as the food. I did notice little things like chipped soy sauce plates and such which isn't the biggest deal but for a fine dining restaurant, I feel that little things like this do matter. The servers were kind and didn't feel like we were rushed at all. Would definitely go back but the price is definitely hefty so be prepared.

   Went for an early dinner and our experience was amazing. Our stay there was about two hours with how great our experience was going (6pm-8pm on a Tuesday)! Our waiter was sooo sweet, gave us amazing drink recommendations! Kept us satisfied! Sushi was soooo yummy, pricey but so worth it! I’d 100% to back if I’m ever in Miami again!!

   Todo bien, salvo que tardaron mas de una hora en darme mi mesa, aún cuando llegué a tiempo a mi reserva, y nos apuraron para dejar el lugar.

   To spend over $300 on a nice romantic dinner/date night it would’ve been nice if the staff accommodated a table a little farther away from the couple sitting literally 1 foot away from us where we were a part of their entire conversation unfortunately, we had a reservation for a Sunday night at 9 PM. There was plenty of open tables, but they would not accommodate once we sat and to be completely honest it ruined the experience.

   Waited 45 mins to be seated after having a reservation was really frustrating but once seat waiter was great and informative food was great high quality would return

    I had a 9:00 PM reservation and ended up leaving at 9:50 because our table was still not ready. During that time, we had two cocktails at the bar, which were good. Unfortunately, the hostess never apologized for the delay, which made the experience feel even more disappointing
