For over 57 years, fondue dining at Geja’s Café has been a favorite indulgence for Chicagoans as well as out-of-towners. It’s a perfect way to kindle romance, celebrate a special occasion or simply join family and friends for a fun and unforgettable dining experience.
To start we offer a Swiss Gruyere cheese fondue, served with fresh breads, fruits and vegetables for dipping. Our crisp house salad, dressed with tangy Dijon vinaigrette, offers a counterpoint to the rich, warm cheese fondue appetizer.
Next, you’ll cook your choices of Australian lobster tail, Gulf shrimp, beef tenderloin, fresh sea scallops or boneless chicken breast in a pot of sizzling soybean oil or broth. The main course is served with fresh vegetables and eight gourmet dipping sauces.
Our famous chocolate fondue is flamed table-side, and presented with marshmallows for roasting and other delectable dippers.

HAD THE CHEESE FONDUE. THE FONDUE TASTED LIKE VELVEETA VS. GRUYERE.SUGGEST THEY TRY FRENCH-SWISS CHEESES (GRUYERE, EMMANTHAL ETC.) ALSO UPGRADE THE BREAD SELECTION. YOU NEED NICE CRUSTY BREAD, NOT SOFT/MUSHY BITES. OUR TWO CENTS.

Geja's has been a family favorite for over 40 years. Everything about it is impeccable, from the food to the service. Table cleaned within minutes. Attentive but not in your way. Highly recommend. Romantic, family gathering, uniqueness.

Great atmosphere. Wonderful service. Cool experience. But it's so. Much. Food. I'd recommend sticking with the a la carte menu or skipping one of the courses if you're not prepared to either stuff yourself or waste a lot of food. The dessert was the least best course in my opinion. The little birthday cupcake was great, though.

Great Evening at Geja’s. I took my wife here because it was her Birthday. The atmosphere is intimate and very comforting. Cooking is not my thing, it’s my wife’s thing and she does it well! But this experience does not make it feel hard or intimidating. So I felt like a mini chef with a little bit of fun added in. You can season to your liking. The customer service was amazing as well! Super courteous and very helpful and nice. Thank you for the Amazing time overall Gejas!! I feel like one of the family members now! :-)

One of my new favorite restaurants in Chicago! This is an amazing spot for a romantic date night, a double date, or a place to take visitors. We had so much fun and everything was delicious. The live Spanish guitar was the cherry on top to a perfect dining experience

Even though this is a more romantic setting, my partner and I had a blast and we attempted to prepare the best meal for ourselves, as though we were contestants on Top Chef. The place is just cozy and lovely. All the staff is attentive and friendly.

Very cute and intimate dining experience. I felt like I was somebody there! Loved it. Super great service from the hostess to the server to the guys helping the server and finally to the manager. Very lovely dining experience. Will definitely recommend. If you want an interactive dining experience with a romantic setting…come here, it’s worth it.

Wow, this is a real Chicago gem! Whether you're a fondue connoisseur or a mildly lost beginner (like myself), I can guarantee that you will enjoy yourself here. The top-tier wine selection, the lovely, romantic aura, the live music, and all the warm melty goodness will leave you full and in the BEST mood -- aphrodisiacs or not! My girlfriend and I were given a giftcard to Geja's Cafe for Christmas and decided to have date night on a Thursday to check it out. It was arguably one of the most fun & tasty date nights we have ever had. We ordered a classic cheese plate with three of our favorites (a WI cheddar, a French brie, and a WI goat) and the works, two of the wine flights that paired perfectly with each part of our dinner, and the Prince Geja's combination dinner that allowed us to try everything! Highly recommend. Additionally, we felt very welcome and safe, which is not always a guarantee as a gay couple -- very queer friendly! Thank y'all for a wonderful dinner and evening :)

It was fine. Fondue might not be for everyone I guess. They gave us the smallest table imaginable with a pot of hot oil on it. If this experience was a quarter or half the cost I’d say it was good. But very overpriced for what it is. Highly recommend just going there for desert. Ambiance is nice just waay over priced for adequate food at best
