It was very romantic and the food was great. Very fun experience overall! The only drawback is that seating is tight
It was pretty good. I didn’t appreciate the tastes of alcohol in the foods. Too much wine in the cheese and too much liquor in the chocolate. other than that, it was great.
Amazing food and wonderful service!
Not good... cheese fondue tasted like heated kraft cheese in powder. Bread was pure rubber. Just came back from Paris where a fondue in a hole in the wall was a gazillion times better and a meal was 50 a piece... not 230 for two.
Nice ambiance and service but not worth it.
Sorry, don’t mean to write poor reviews, but i was asked......
My last few times that I’ve been have not been the way it used to be. The only thing that’s been consistent is the cheese, bread basket and salad. The main course has been lacking on the veggies they give and amount of meat. Dessert used to come with complementary coffee and now they charge you $3 for a tiny cup. The service has also been lacking. We were never offered refills on our drinks we had to ask for drinks and water refills. The one person who was on top of service wasn’t our waiter but one of the helpers. He did notice when water needed refilling and was there for us to ask for refills. I will most likely still go but am more likely to find a new girls night dinner spot.
Excellent service and great food. I'll definitely keep this on my list of musts when I'm back in the city.
Being a fondue restaurant, you can effect to leave smelling like your dinner. The service was great, but a bit too many filters on the main dish. About half an onion and a full bell pepper. The rest was great.
Other than both of us getting splattered and stung by the boiling oil, it was a great experience. Never had that happen in past visits, and sadly it was a while before the waiter showed up to fix it.
Way over priced. No cooks, little flavor. Little space on table and around.
Amazing as always, thanks again!! Great food and service for a special occasion.
Wife and I were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. Service was great and so was the food. We love Geja’s and cant wait to return
Very good place for special occasions, like an anniversary &/or birthday (birthday this time).
My little woman was quite pleased with everything...! So I am happy...! Thanks Gejás Café.
This place is a very beautiful and romantic place for couples.
Great food, great atmosphere, great service, a perfect evening. We've been coming to Geja's for anniversaries and special occasions like Valentine's day for years and years. We look forward to many more evenings of fine dining in the future!
Fantastic food, service and ambiance as always
This restaurant is a must-have romantic experience in Chicago! Walking into the building was like getting transported to Spain. My date and I had the premium dinner and the food was a fun to share and came very quickly. Many laughs were had!
Great food and service. A little cramped for a romantic date night, but worth it for the delicious food!
Finally made it to Geja’s! Great food, delicious. Such a nice experience. Very intimate and quaint. Lovely way to treat ourselves for Valentine’s!
This was my Husband and I first time at your restaurant. Celebrating our 10yr Wedding Anniversary, let me tell you. It was amazing, from the valet, checking in our coats, the romantic setting. The waitress was amazing. I believe her name was Mary, she explain everything perfectly checked on us throughout the dinner, monitor the fire, was very aware that we were done with 1 setting bringing out the next. Would absolutly recommend your restaurant.
Geja’s cafe never disappoints the atmosphere is intimate and romantic
The process of preparing your food makes for a fun time to get to know your dining companions
Amazing, romantic setting. Went during Valentine’s week and they have the place decorated to the nines for the occasion. Perfect date night spot!
Birthday dinner, super cute!
Very cozie and relaxing.
Everything was greasy & overpriced
A favorite!! Staff always super friendly and food soooo delicious. This time we celebrated the BF's birthday.
Great staff, great, experience, great food. So romantic, and great ambiance.
Hi Mark~ Thank you for dining with us and we are very happy you enjoyed your evening. Cheers to fondue dining.
Celebrating 51 years of marriage. Everything was wonderful except since I had made a reservation ahead of time, it would have been nicer to be in a booth instead of at a table in the middle of the room.
As usual, Geja's did not disappoint. The prices were lower because it was restaurant week, which was a plus!
One of the best American takes on the Swiss fondue diner.
Awesome food that will sure to have you full, and a wide enough selection to accommodate nearly all diets.
A very interactive experience that keeps the whole table engaged and squashed some of the modern dinner table lulls.
Thank you for dining with us and the review. You picked up on a lot of benefits of fonduing dining that are missed.
Geja's is one of the most romantic spot's in Chicago. It was especially decked out for Valentine's Day, but have been on other nights and it never disappoints. Don't skip the dessert cocktails, the Amaretto was unreal!
Everything was spectacular!
I was impressed by the variety of food and our waiter, Michael G., was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional.
The environment was gorgeous, with red, romantic lighting and hearts all over.
Hi Laura, Thank you for dining with us and paying Michael a compliment. We look forward to serving you again.
Such a romantic and fun experience while dining!
Amazing food, premium service, romantic decor and atmosphere. 102% recommended and will go again. A bit pricy but it's fair.
Such a great experience to share with friends or a significant other. Very quaint with beautiful guitar music. All the courses are superb but the cheese fondue is my favorite part of the dinner!!
Loved the place, the vibe and the food. The service is also very good. We went for a romantic dinner with my boyfriend and had a fabulous experience!
Definitely coming back
The cheese fondue was gritty. The bread and the churros provided for dipping were hard and old. The chocolate fondue was underwhelming and I had really expected better food from Geja’s.
We joined for the Restaurant Week menu, and greatly enjoyed the dinner we had! The price was definitely worth the amount of food we got (and then some!) , and the service was friendly and helpful.
Love this place. Seems to be even better every time I go. I had the Prince Geja's combination and it's worth every penny! The 25 dollar corking fee per bottle could be lower, but it won't stop me from returning.
Great food and service overall, but there were a few concerns. First, it was a bit louder than normal, to the point that it started making conversations a bit difficult and detracted from the normally quite romantic atmosphere. Secondly, the lighting seemed brighter than normal, which is to say slightly too bright, but this may have just been a difference in our seating location as I had never sat in the back corner before. Overall it was still a great evening, and we will be returning again.
