The food was sooo good! We split the fig salad, tagliatelle pasta and the apple cheesecake and each dish was perfect! The Christmas decor made the night so festive and the wood-burning fireplace was a cozy addition. The bartender also made a very tasty old fashioned!

Gosh I was really excited to try Geist, and the experience fell a little short of expectations. The holiday decor is beautiful, but we were seated in the back patio away from it all and right away the area had a very distinct, unpleasant smell to it, like must or an antique shop. This was before 6 pm on a Saturday with a reservation. I tripped over the extension chord in the doorway, then another staff member did moments later, and we overheard an awkward interaction about moving it later. The scallops which everybody raves about would have been great, expect my dish was too salty (still good enough to clear the plate). The pork belly wasn’t quite right, and my friend did find a hair baked into it. Our server handled it perfectly and gracefully, though! We were appreciative of the new one & it taken off our bill. The whipped feta & house bread was VERY good. Maybe it was an off night, but if I go back I would request to be seated in the main area or sit at the bar.

We had the best brunch at Geist on Saturday! Our server was sooo awesome and the holiday decor all over the restaurant was so festive, fun and gorgeous! The food was delicious as usual. The salmon Benedict and avocado toast were hits! Thank you for a super fun experience. Will be back!!

This restaurant offers a treasure trove of culinary delights! I hosted a brunch here, and knew that my guests would be blown away, and they were! Whipped Feta, Bananas Foster French Toast, Kale Caesar Salad, were all hits as appetizers. Chicken& Waffles, Sliders, Farro Bowl, were among the hits as entrees. The servers/ management are attentive , professional and exceptional. thank you, Geist!

This place could be great, but we really did not enjoy sitting on hard metal outdoor patio furniture over astroturf for what is billed as a fine dining experience. Cheese board was just okay. Zero attempt by server to explain what the cheeses were and where they were sourced from. This was our second visit and I don't think we'll go out of our way to return. Too many other great places nearby.

Our party of 5 all agreed that the food was excellent. The service was right there when we needed her or if she saw there might be a need. The food prices appeared to be fair. The music was a bit too loud which then made everyone around us talk loud which in turn made it hard for me to hear conversations at your table. Overall though, an amazing dinner and I’ll be back.

My family & I had a wonderful meal & all around experience at Geist. This is the largest (a group of 13) that I have taken here. Jillian & her team went above & beyond: private table, excellent meal execution, and delicious cocktails per usual. Giest went above and beyond for an unforgettable family dinner in Nashville. The food was great. Everything we had was delicious but the dinner rolls and deserts are to die for! Their drinks are pretty great too. Sat out on the patio with the fireplace going and listened to some live acoustic music. So cozy!

Tasty food and great service. My only real complaint is the noise level from the music made hearing the dinner conversation difficult for our party of six. Their rolls are amazing! Short ribs are great. Gnocchi with lamb ragu is also very good. The apple pie cheesecake and chocolate espresso cake are great desserts. Recommend this wonderful, historic restaurant.
