GDL Italian by Giada
Overall, my experience was subpar. I have dined at Giada's restaurant in Las Vegas several times and there is no comparison in terms of quality overall quality. They were out of three variety of wines (all Italian ironically). The server was too casual and in my opinion unprofessional given the ambiance of the restaurant. Almost everyone working was in jeans. I felt as if I was dining at Cheesecake factory. When pouring our wine, they dripped some on our table - that should never happen at an establishment like that. Apps were ok - ordered arancini, pizza, and cheese board. Cheese board was a waste of money. Entrees were good though - pastas were good and chicken parm was good, too. Dessert was fine too, the donuts were undercooked. If I were to go back, I would just get pasta only. Definitely dine at Giada's in Las Vegas if you want a true experience!
Had a great time. Ordered a large number of items from menu and everything was excellent. All five of us totally enjoyed the food and the service was very nice.
Loved the pizza, would not reorder the chicken parm. Went before a Ravens game. You can park for free with your reservation. Service was very good, wines were reasonable. However, it is open to the casino, so it is noisy.
Pizza was terrific! Chianti was delicious and our servers were great and knowledgeable. Would prefer a more basic salad to go with the pizza.
The decorating is fresh and inviting, expectations were high with it being a "Giada" restaurant. My husband loved his lasagna, appetizer (Caprese) was delicious. My Chicken Piccada was cold and the parmesan I requested never came. Thankfully prices are reasonable.
We had the best time! The food was amazing and we loved the staff. And the photo booth was a great finish to our evening. Thanks Giada and team!
I was blindsided by this restaurant. I was going in thinking this was another food network gimmick. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious! Especially the Tuscan steak. I highly recommend this steak. It was one of the best steaks I have had in a long time. Giada is actually a hidden gem.
Service was outstanding. The salmon and t-bone steak choices were fantastic.

Seated on time from reservation. However, food servers brought the same wrong appetizer to our table twice. Thought that was strange. Once should have been good enough. I thought the food overall was down in execution from our prior visit soon after they opened. Several items were just OK - and for the price should have been better.
Maybe it was an off night - hard to say.
We felt we were in a cafeteria with the noise level and lack of decor. Food was good but service was so so.
An outstanding experience. The food was excellent and serves were pleasant and helpful. We will return.
I was less then impressed by this hyped up restaurant. I started with the meatball appetizer. It was very good. Then I had the green salad. It was just plain boring. We then had each ordered thee pasta. The noodles were just a mess all stuck together. I had the lemon pea sauce. It would have been good if it had been served with normal
Noodles. My daughter had the spicy arriviste sauce. Awful.

Music too loud
We had a good time and good meal. The minestrone soup was delicious and the arugula salad was wonderful. My steak was expensive, but big and tender and yummy.

Other that a child sitting directly behind me watching a video on an iPhone and volume was extremely loud, it was perfect when they finally left. Ugh parents that don’t parent because its actually takes effort.
WE had to wait for drinks, the server was new but terrible, my wife's lasagna was more like chili; noodles were not layered. My friend's side dishes were late in coming and broccoli was hard!
We have eaten here before, with a good experience, but this time it seems to have gone downhill
This was not my first time at this restaurant, and not my first time being disappointed. The staffing was so poor that we only saw our server to take our order and to ask for our check. We were told that in a “fine dining” establishment you see the assistant more than the main server. I’m sorry, but this restaurant does not seem like a fine dining establishment. There was one bartender with full seating at the bar. Our serving assistant did all of the work. Nicolette was awesome. She was constantly apologizing for the slow service. When we were finished with our meal and asked for the check we also asked to speak to the manager. She was busy helping in the bar and also speaking with many other patrons who had complaints. She was also the general manager who came in to help since they had many staff members call out sick. Due to the low staffing they closed the restaurant after we left, meaning they were not going to seat any other reservation that night. Our server, Sydney is new we were told and needs a lot more training. Sydney was in charge of 4 table tops and like I said the serving assistant did most of the work. Needless to say our bill was totally taken care of by the general manager and we didn’t even give a tip to the server, only to Nicolette who waited on us like a server should. She should be promoted to wait staff and Sydney demoted to be the assistant for awhile to train on how a server should be in a “fine dinning” restaurant.
Short staffed tonight and closed restaurant early. Bar service was good but food was horrible.
Dreadful, just dreadful. Where to begin. Seated after our reservation time despite their being a zillion open tables. Server unaware of any drinks, didn’t know they if they had a Pinot noir. No drink menu provided. Drinks came out one at a time. Served our apps before we even ordered. Dates and pizza were good, mussels were bland and watered down. Entrees were subpar, chicken piccata tasteless. No way worth the 250 our table spent. You’d think for a classy place they would at least hire Competent servers.
Stopped in early on a Thursday evening for dinner. Service was quick and attentive and the atmosphere is not too loud (tuck into one corner of the Horseshoe Casino). Crab risotto ball appetizer was tasty but the chicken Parmesan wasn't very satisfying. Two entrees, one appetizer and only water to drink and the bill top $90, too expensive for what is was. Ended up eating again later at home.
The service is very slow and it looks like more staff is needed during the week.
The food was good. The service was ok. We enjoyed our meals. It was a bit expensive.
Not a good night. Had a group of 14 for my husbands birthday. 3 meals went back cold and 4 more should have but they were too hungry to wait. The replacement meals were inedible. The appetizers were great as was the branzino but it was not a good experience for a $700 bill.
Excellent experience: the food, atmosphere, service, etc. I’ve been many times and will continue to return! Thank you!
I enjoyed my Experience at GDL Italian as much as I thought I would. I expect to return on other occasions. I recommend it if one is in the casino. Arrival is too tedious for a special trip.
Great time good food would go back again. Prices are a little high.

This was our third visit. We just adore Luiz! He’s such a great server. He’s always so pleasant and efficient! Our meals arrived to the table at perfect temperature. We both tried new dishes and some old favorites. Braised short ribs, creamed corn with sausage, lemon smashed fingerlings, spaghetti with meatballs, meatball trio appetizer
Food was tasty. Didn’t like bathroom placement. Server was weird. Seating clumped despite empty placee so we ended up next to another family in an argument.
I had very high hopes for this meal, but not so high that they could not be achieved. We were a party of 6 and had all wanted to try this restaurant. When we knew were coming to Baltimore for a Redsox game, we made the reservation immediately.
When we arrived we were informed that we were being seated at the “Chef’s Table”. No, I’ve eaten at Chefs tables before and always enjoyed the experience. Normally the chef comes out to meet you, and often will send out something off the menu to try. Not here! The chef never came out of the kitchen, and we truly had nothing more than a table very close to the kitchen where we had to listen to all of the server conversations at the hot plate, and have them walking around out table for the entire meal. What a waste.
2 of the six enjoyed thief food. The Short rib got high marks. I had the Parmisan Crusted pork chop. It was tasty but extremely dry. I ordered the “wood fired broccoli “ as a side. It arrived cold, and was es essentially steamed broccoli with cheese dusted over the top. Yes, it was cold. My wife went basic and ordered the Spaghetti and Meatballs. Who puts Lemmon zest over spaghetti and meatballs? apparently Giada D. It gave the whole meal an off putting taste. She could not even finish the meal.
The worst part of the adventure was the service. The waiter was awful. He rushed over and took our order immediately. He did not even ask if we wanted a cocktail, and we had to call him back over to order a glass of wine. This was just the start of the continued bad service through the meal.
I had wanted to have her food for some time, seeing the Vegas location over many trips. This was an expensive disaster and I will not repeat at any of her locations.
Had reservations for a week they call me at 3pm on day before tell me they decided tgo have a private event that my reservation was being cancelled.. Did not matter it was my mothers 85th birthday and we should just move to another date... Thank goodness a manager finally got ont he phone as she helped me get reservations at another restaurant.
We were hoping for something a little special on our anniversary, but overall the experience was underwhelming. Dessert was the highlight with the fried dough balls and hazelnut dipping sauce. Our appetizers were quite nice, too. But the main courses were just ok. The room has the feel of a cafeteria and has poor acoustics.
Meanwhile, our waitress was friendly, professional and attentive.
We were surprised that since they knew it was our anniversary there wasn’t any sort of special drink or dessert provided.
The food and service were fantastic. Located in a casino means it was noisy but still tolerable. We will definitely go back.

So easily accessible and convenient. Free garage parking at Horseshoe (unless a game day, then charges). Bright and cheerful ambiance in restaurant. Their acoustic design engineer was brilliant--tables are spaced with nice distance apart and seemed all ADA in mind. Wait Staff were terrific! Attentive, pleasant, and timing of showing up at the table indicated they are paying attention to the customers during the dining experience. Menu has fine Italian dining. The beef shortrib with polenta was a tasty dish, with just right dinner portion. Creste di Gallo carbonara dish was light, fresh pasta with pancetta. Antipasti choices of marinated olives and the Frittelle (light, warm, garlic bread twists with marinara dip) were great shareable picks for the two of us. Wines by the glass are reasonable prices with broad choices on red, white, and sparkling. Everything about Giada's says "come back again". Perfect arrangement for early dinner before 7PM theater show at Hippodrome, just a 5 minute drive further into downtown. Baltimore and out-of-towners are missing out on this great find.
