"Chef Paul Little makes the experience emotional"
We did not have a good time here. Nobody greeted us at the front when we walked in. We stood around for 5 minutes before I wandered into the dining area and found someone. After letting them know that we were there for a reservation, she waved her hand at me and said "Yeah, I'll be there in a minute". Turns out she was the hostess. So not a great first impression.
We were a group of four adults. We all ordered simple breakfast meals (all essentially the same two egg meal with a meat side and toast). The server didn't write anything down. None of the meals had the correct options when they arrived. Three people ordered scrambled eggs, we received four meals with fried eggs. One person ordered orange juice, three people ordered coffees - we received four orange juices and one coffee. It all got sorted out, but we could have paid half the price at a hole in the wall diner and received the same quality of food. I would not return here given this experience.
We returned to Gazette after eating there on a trip to Montreal a few years back. The meal then was good enough for us to return. This meal was great too. This time, I had smoked meat style pork ribs. I was not sure what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised. We'll likely return to Gazette again when we get back up to Montreal.
The food here was surprisingly delicious! We had the lobster salad and grilled octopus for appetizers - both were mouth watering and cooked to perfection. The lobster salad had such a unique flavour with the hint of mint. The dinner portions are very large, enough for two to share. Overall, really yummy!
Staff is all very personable.
Convenient to the convention center. Good food
No gluten free menu or options on menu besides telling the waitress to tell the chef to make the dish gluten free. No hostess for ten minutes while we waited. Salmon dish very good. Ribs just ok. Should not be put on top of cole slaw
The staff was very accommodating as our initial reservation was for 6 and moved to 12 and down to 10. Made is possible, with a smile. Very good food.
Great service and food!
Lovely service. Nice place for casual lunch or business meeting.
Nice quiet restaurant for business lunches, very good food and excellent and quick service.
Christmas Eve dinner for tired family who just arrived. Very nice and attentive service.
Food very good, great service. Music a bit too loud for ambience. This was noted during my other visits here as well...music should be background sound! Other than that, highly recommended!
Wairtrers not that much talkative or smiling, sometime hard to hear... but food is really good !
The food was well-presented. Many colours, flavours, and textures created a taste sensation with each bite. The service was attentive without being annoying. We had the local cheese platter for a starter and were very pleased with the 3 options presented. The Camembert-Brie was particularly creamy. We weren't sure about going to a 'hotel restaurant' but were very pleased that we did. I would certainly return and have recommended it to friends
Always a good menu option and very professional and competent staff. A great place for a quiet lunch where you can actually hear other people speak.,
Large portions but tasteless, forgettable food
I was greeted by a very rude waitress this morning. The restaurant is dirty and messy. I decided not to have my lunch. I tried to cancel it unfortunately I was not allowed.
We are a group of parents with kids. The restaurant is spacious and comfortable, has great seating for families. Food was really mediocre, I find the food salty and over seasoned. Our server was friendly and helpful while lacking the common sense of serving a group like ours - one of the dishes took a long time to be ready and we were not aware of that and told the server to bring everything at the same time. So a party of 8 was waiting for over 30 min for one dish to be ready while everything else could be brought out much sooner. I will come back for the ambience (comfortable if you have young children) but not for the food and service. We picked this place also because of its high rating for food but were disappointed.
Lovely! Try the breakfast buffet for a great choice of food and options.
Great meal, you can have a conversation without screaming , great location , food exceptional , service was great.
Great Food, Great Service, Great Ambiance. I Love the Westin !
Times for the breakfast menu not clearly indicated, we reserved for 11:00 and had to wait until 11:30 because the breakfast menu finished at 11:00 and lunch starts at 11:30. Only option in the meantime was a continental buffet. Other than that, service was very good and friendly, food was tasty.
J’y suis allée dans le cadre de Montréal à table. Entrées vraiment excellentes, les repas principaux étaient ordinaires et trop salés et les desserts décevants.
Good spot for a business lunch. Food and service are solid, and the place is generally quiet. I've been several times and would go again.
Very bad breakfast buffet
Pasta with shrimp was fairly good. The seared tuna was not hot, just tepid and could have used more flavour. A tip for chef, how about some wasabi and garlic? The service disappointed me. Very pleasant wait staff, but failed to offer pepper and took unusually long to bring food and to ask if it was ok. Very nice comfortable seating
We stayed at the hotel and decided to dine here for dinner our first full day. The hosetess was nice but from the moment we were seated the male server we had was rude and practically ignored us. We had to ask for the bread basket after he had given one to every table around us. He would roll his eyes if we asked for anything. The calamari appetizer and the Caprese salad were good. My husband and myself both ordered the burgers and it was horrible! The patty was so thick and dry! The meat had no flavour!! The fries were soggy too. My husband forced himself to eat it because of the $29 price tag per plate but I just couldn't do it. I ordered beef sliders for my 4yr old and even he wouldn't eat them. When the sever came to clear our table I mentioned that the meal was not very good in a very polite manner and he simply rolled his eyes, smiled and walked away. We at that point just tried to get him back to the table to ask for our bill, we paid and left. I have never had such a bad experience in my life. It felt very uncomfortable being there and very unwelcoming. I would never go back and would definitely recommend to anyone!
I've been here 4 times. The last two times were highly disappointing. The crème brûlé dessert was watery and the coffee wasn't fresh.
Overall service was ok but it took forever to get the bill even though we asked for it when we ordered our coffee and dessert.
Once the bills came, they were all wrong. This happened the last time but with another waiter. On both occasions it caused for us to make it back to our conference 30 minutes late. Highly disappointing. And when this was mentioned, the waiter didn't even blink or bother to move faster.
Little slow with getting food
Excellent service à la clientèle tant à l'hôtel qu'au restaurant
Nice folks and attentive service. Love the food especially the lamb shank, it fell off the bones. French onion soup was one of the best ever. Lovel, lovely evening.
The coffee is terrible. And they charged me twice in my bill and tried to call them and left message but no body replies. I don't recommend this resto. I had bad experience
Was extremely disappointed the menu did not match your on-line menu. Even worst when the waiter said it had not been updated in years. The food was good and the service very good. These did little to out weight the noise and high prices for what we received. I would not recommend this restaurant unless you are looking for a noisy bar atmosphere that is over priced.
J'ai trouvé la sauce accompagnée le poulet farci extraordinaire. L'ambiance est toujours agréable.
The staff was not welcoming when we arrived--we were not staying in the adjacent hotel like the other guests seemed to be, so that may have been a factor, and we were 5 people, so they needed a larger table for us. Once we were seated, we opted for the self-serve brunch, which was very nice--the fruit and berries were fresh, there were a variety of breakfast choices, from fruit juices, to smoothies, eggs, pancakes, bacon and sausage, lox, bagels, different breads. Getting a hot drink was not as easy as we needed to find a waiter, but the self-serve brunch was great.
We were staying in Montreal at the Hilton, after a busy day of sightseeing it was a nice spot to eat without leaving the hotel.Lobster gnocchi and beet salad were very good. Pleasantly surprised with food. :-)
From the moment we entered the restaurant for lunch, the server was rude. We were seated promptly, had the wine glasses removed and was asked immediately upon sitting if we were ready to order. I told her that we would like the wine list ,which meant she would have to bring the glasses back to the table. When my appetizer was brought to me it was wrong, which can happen, not a big deal st all but I was a bit confused as the server who brought me the dish seemed upset with me . Food was not as it was described on the menu and tasteless but really more importantly service was terrible. We will not be back.
