Gazala’s
Spot on! Great scene food and service.
my favorite chicken kabobs. marinated: so good. and we always get the artichokes. it isn't cheap but it is tasty!!
Great food and excellent service.
The food here is incredible - really fresh and perfectly seasoned. I walked in a few weeks ago with my sister and we had an incredible lunch. I had a good friend join me for brunch this last time and was disappointed to learn that the lunch menu wasn’t available, but the brunch was still good. On both dining occasions, it’s taken 15-20 minutes to order drinks and then another 15 minutes to order food. There’s no bread or any small bite to satiate the hunger if you walk in hungry. The food is excellent though.
Great food and great service! So happy to a found this place.
We had a wonderful time at Gazalas, ambience was lovely and the food delicious.
Decent experience but i was put off that they tried to seat me at the bar even though I had a reservation
Glad that Gazala's is back on the UWS. It was missed over the last few years.
Definitely not the best option for middle-eastern cuisine. And it is not even cheap.
I really liked this place. Lovely staff, very friendly. The food was delicious. Get the bourekas!
The appetizers and house special bourakas just the best. The main courses are okay. We had a spectacular meal from small plates. A small place. Plain but cozy. Excellent service.
Excellent variety of salads, appetizers and various chicken, meat, fish and vegetarian options. Very tasty food across the board. And, reasonable prices. Perfect for lunch or casual dinner
The most delicious food ever!
The food was absolutely delicious, the service a little slow.
Really nice neighborhood spot with elcellent food and servers. Great for vegetarians / kosher style.
Our server, Olga, was awesome. She was attentive and made excellent recommendations. The sampler platter was a generous combination of vegetarian delicacies for all to enjoy. All the dishes we had were delicious.
It is the third time that we dined here, unfortunately the restaurant deteriorated, the quality of the food and the presentation are really sad.
If the chef/owner is there, food is fantastic. If not, there are always issues like bureka that is frozen in the middle, hummus that’s not great, missing items etc.
Mess up on our order, however chef/manager did correct it for us. Unfortunately we didn't all get to eat at same time.
we've been here before and had amazing service and the food is delicious.
Wow, did my wife and I enjoy dinner at Gazala's. The food was delicious (and a little different from the norm), the service was friendly and the atmosphere was very pleasant and unpretentious. We will be back. (PS - Try the roasted eggplant and the bourekas.)
Excellent service and food.
Our server, a lovely young woman, made excellent recommendations for food and drink. We enjoyed drinking Goldseal, an Israeli beer, she recommended.
I had a very strange reaction to the food, specifically the side of rice that I ate, which had sumac on top of it. I had cotton mouth for six weeks after the moment I ate that rice. I followed up The following week by going to the doctor and having blood tests only to reveal that there was nothing actually wrong with me. All I can conclude is that it was the sumac that caused a bad reaction. I can’t help but wonder if this reaction has happened to anyone else.
Everything was delicious! Ample portions, nice atmosphere, pleasant service. Will go back.
Excellent food and attentive service at a reasonable price.
Wow — what a wide range of middle eastern (Israeli-Druze) vegetable rich creations and as well, the most flavorful chicken and beef kebab served with brown rice and amazing cabbage salad. Several seafood options, too. Salads are incredible, too. Very attentive service and incredibly reasonably prices for large portions sizes. We’re now adding Gazala’s into our restraint rotation list.
Food was delicious. Waiter was just the right amount of attentive.
chicken kabobs amazing, excellent hummus, good service.
Terrific food and service. Loved the Tahini infused dishes. Will make it my business to return
Excellent Mediterranean food and great service. Especially loved the mushroom humus and the delicately fried whole fish. Salads and lamb shanks were amazing.
We love this place. To those who say it's not authentic Israeli food. They are right. It's also not Chinese food. Its Druze food. Authentic Druze food and its great.
It's rare that I give such a poor review, but tonight Gazalas earned it. It took 45 minutes for the appetizers to come - 2 out of 3 being salads - and on a Sunday night at 645 the place started out completely empty. Our wine was never refilled and we didn't know where on earth the waitress had put the bottle or we certainly would have helped ourselves. After inquiring about our appetizers, the manager took over for a while, and said he would comp one of the salads. We appreciated this effort greatly, and felt it was the honorable thing to do. We were more than willing to move past the rocky start, but things barely got better. The entrees were ok at best - my husband and mother in law both said the meat did not taste good and only ate the chicken in their mixed grill, and we waited a good 20 minutes to find someone to bring us the check. All in all, a frustrating 2 hours.
Great service, cozy atmosphere, yummy food!! What more can you ask?
Wonderfully prepared meals, attentive service. What's not to like?
Waitress was lovely and attentive. Food was fine. Ambiance okay
As always it was fabulous
Had an early dinner with friends before heading to Central Park for a performance. The restaurant was quiet bc it was early. The food was delicious! Presentation was attractive. Staff was very attentive.
Extremely overpriced for what your get. There are so many other restaurants you can go to with better food, service, ambiance for the price you’ll pay. Not worth it.
Impressive assortment of middle eastern mezze(tapas). I have been to this place before it has relocated to its current location. The place never lose its authenticity. Their taboule is just like one I used to have in the region. Kunafe is a must try item;-)
Very good food. Babaganush, humus, chicken and lamb, salads. Everything was fresh and well cooked.
However it is a pity because the place needs some renovation including lights so old fashion. It is dark without resulting romantic or cool.
Very good and professional the barman but not the service. Girls resits somehow distracted and not professional need to do better their job.
Staff were warm and welcoming. Food was very underwhelming - underseasoned, lamb chewy and gristly, and tomatoes in salad were tasteless. I get David Chang’s point that all cuisines deserve to be valued but more than 50 for a meal for one with an app, main and one glass of wine seemed high for what I was served. Disappointing.
