Father’s Day brunch....outstanding on every level !
Went for brunch on Father’s Day. The choices were many and all delicious. The service was great, the shops have some unique items. We really enjoyed our time there and will go back again.
Service was terrible, food was disappointing. Use to love this restaurant. Don't know what happened. Won't be going there any more.
Everything was excellent! We love going there, it feels like home!
Lovely setting, food was great. We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. Great spot for that!
Everything we were hoping it would be. You really feel like you’re in Hawaii going to this restaurant, opposed to some of the busier & more commercial restaurants on the island. Much more relaxing.
Been coming here for years, and it never disappoints! Delicious food! We all loved our meals and highly recommend the cioppino, filet, and monchung special. Our waiter was fantastic and the outdoor environment beautiful!
Food and ambiance were awesome. Our Sunday brunch was excellent with a wide selection of dishes. The Spinach Florentine was cooked perfectly. I wish I wouldn’t have filled myself up on the entrees as I really wanted to try the omelette selections.
We had Sunday brunch. The choices were varied but the overall food experience was average. The setting is relaxed and pretty with live background entertainment. The atmosphere is very pleasant as long as you don't have fussy toddlers nearby. We've had brunch there several times and fussy kids seem to be standard.
Beautiful setting, excellent food. Great place for a relaxing lunch.
Very lovely setting
Second rate place that caters to busloads of cruise ship customers. The reviews suggest that they were happy. We were not. The food was mediocre at best.
The food was great. Service this time was just good. Not great. We are very picky.
Kilohana plantation is wonderful. We recommend going early, putting your name on the rum tasting list for a convenient time and enjoying the tour!
Food was good but not awesome. View was nice but not quite what was expected. Server was odd. He seemed to only want to do things on his schedule and his way. When we asked if we could get a lava flow with mango instead of strawberry he acted like that was impossible even though he had just told us they picked the mango fresh that morning. When I pushed to have him ask if they could do the drink he finally did and of course they did it. Similar experience asking for free dessert which we got from Yelp. He wasn’t ready to talk with us about dessert. He just really didn’t seem interested in waiting on us. Disappointing for our last meal before leaving the island.
We enjoy everything about Gaylord's and visit at least once every trip to Kauai
Gaylord’s is a great spot for any occasion! I was there on business but you could have a wedding reception there if you wanted too. The staff is great and the food and drinks are even better. The outdoor dining and scenery really make it special. The only reason I gave it 4 stars overall was due to the price of some menu items. Just a little pricy for my taste but it really is an experience you need to do when visiting Kauai!
Love this place! Gaylord’s is perfect for a special occasion or date. My husband enjoyed the Ahi & I ate the roasted chicken, ending the dinner with a delicious coconut banana cream pie. I recommend Gaylord’s for beautiful old plantation ambience, good food & service.
It was the best Ahi tuna steak I've ever eaten!
Had an early dinner, at times it can be busy but was acceptable on this Tuesday evening. Nice, but not overpowering music from the bar area.
Delicious food. Good service. Beautiful surroundings
Sashimi, Spring rolls great - Server nice - music and ambiance terrific- short ribs dry bland sauce , pasta oily , banana cream pie usually terrific - (I got a leftover scrap of a piece)
PIANO in Lounge Tuesday and Friday
Hank Curtis - classy act - well worth the whole evening- if you’re on Kauai- Don’t Miss Him !!!!🌺🌴🎹
This place is definitely a little gem located on the Kilohana Plantation. Going here is a definite must as the food and scenery is great.
Excellent Sunday brunch buffet and excellent service!
Lovely venue, outstanding service and great food
Celebrated our 50th anniversary at Gaylord's! It was recommended by a friend for our special day! Loved everything about it!!!
OUSTANDING! The best fine dining meal our group has had since being in Kauai. Daeva was our server and she was great. The serving was timely and not intrusive. The overall ambience was conducive to good conversation while enjoying a great meal and company. Would definitely return.
Our dinning experience was excellent! The ahi and cioppino exceeded our expectations, and the desserts were out of this world! We were so full from dinner that we took the desserts to go! Banana coconut cream pie and some special ice cream pie!
The venue is nice. There was a live background music which we enjoyed. The food was good. But we felt overpriced.
Wonderful location with beauty all aroumd. Very friendly staff and good food.
The view and ambiance was amazing as usual. It was slow, yet our food took 45 minutes to arrive. Turns out another table ordered what we did and they got our food. Nobody told is what was going on until we asked the runner, who was on his first day alone. We weren't in a hurry so it wasn't a big deal, but our server ignored us most of the time. Food was great so we we're happy overall. Just don't get Charlene as a server.
I was very disappointed in the menu as there was no identifying the gluten free items. I asked the waiter which items were gf and he really did not seem that knowledgeable about gf items. I was informed that the baked chicken was gf but when it arrived at the table there was a sauce on the chicken which I was not sure about and the waiter never came back to the table for me to inquire about the sauce. The service was not great, it seems our waiter left and another waiter took over our table who did not seem concerned with our table. On a positive note the outside dining area was beautiful as was the music and the atmosphere.
Gaylord’s is a unique restaurant featuring a style and ambiance of it’s own. Dining is a memorable event. We come here every time we are in Kauai!
This is one of our favorite spots to eat at! The Happy hour food and drinks were the best. I wish we would of stayed at the bar area for the sinner.
Historic Plantation home, several delightful gift shops, and nice grounds. Our lunch was very good--we had Reuben and their short rib "dip". Our waitress was excellent--all in all a wonderful afternoon!
Delightful brunch buffet, although very few things were labeled so it was a guessing game what most of it was. Everything was delicious though!
Any time you can comfortably time your meal is a good time. Sunny days are slower than cloudy days. Take advantage. Lovely food and great aloha service. And take advantage of the rum tasting at Koloa.
Always love the fresh fish of the day—it needed more sauce and fish was dry—a little over cooked...hence 4 stars instead of 5. Dessert was the best—funnel cake with vanilla ice cream with a squirt if caramel sauce all over it.
Very cool venue. There are a few shops on the grounds that are pretty cool (including one where they make pottery). There is also a train that you can take the family on (check the schedule though as it doesn't run all the time) The food was decent, but definitely overpriced for what it was. I was expecting fine dining for those prices, but I guess you are paying for the scenery. I will say their cocktails were really good. Great service by the staff!
The food was just barely okay, not worth the cost. This place seems dated and in need of repair. I had the linguine with shrimp and it was just ok - they probably put a pound of pasta there, but the dish just was not right and no one should get a pound of pasta. My husband had the special fish dish - it was dry and tasteless.
very nice location, interesting history/background, reasonable size portions (not the usually huge ones!), attached to more attractions/entertainments on the same premises
