Excellent food, professional service. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
Best food for us in Nee Orleans secret for locals only.
Excellent as always
Considering that everyone is understaffed due to covid, they did an outstanding job. It was equal to or better than their precovid efforts!
Best French cuisine in town
This has got to be one of our most favorite places to eat in New Orleans. The food is superb!!!!
Fantastic food & service will definitely be a stop every time in town
Our new favorite New Orleans restaurant. Incredible food and atmosphere.
Was a lovely experience, service was great and food was delicious.
This place was outstanding. Took my wife and daughter here for a nice dinner and was not let down. We ordered the duck confit, baby romaine, and 2 filets Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. Will definitely eat here again. 10/10
Stephani our server was very knowledgeable and fun. The food was the best we had for my week long celebration. Loved the vibe of stepping back to a classier era.
My wife and I went to Gautreau's Restaurant to celebrate her birthday. It had been years since we had been there. Both the food and service were exceptional. I would highly recommend this restaurant. It is a small, hidden gem.
Always consistently fabulous whether for special occasion or just an evening out.
Wonderful food and atmosphere! A real neighborhood gem!
Really nice hotel seems to be full of lots of locals instead of tourist which is nice. Food was super great. The signature chicken dish was very good. The duck was really good too. Had the daily special fish which was just okay. Nice wine list.
Lovely room, warm and welcoming owner. Hope to become a regular.
As long time regulars of many of New Orleans’ fine neighborhood dining establishments, we enjoy personal relationships with many owners and chefs.
Patrick is hands down the best proprietor we have in our wealth of culinary culture here.
The cuisine is consistently sublime with seemingly perfectly balance fl or profiles from top quality ingredients.
The ambiance is perfect for us, with a staff that appears when needed but never intrusive. Gautreau’s is like home to us, which is why we return so often.
Thanks again for another wonderful celebration, Patrick, and may the crowds return in full soon!!
The is the grand dame of Uptown New Orleans dining... hats off to Patrick Singley!
Nice food...Rude staff...unfriendly..hovering at the wrong time...seemed to be rushing us...I will NEVER go back. It started with an impatient staff member pushing me to shove my friend's birthday presents in a place they wouldn't fit, given the table she showed me to...I asked if we could sit at a less cramped table of a similar size and she said no...Even though there were NO OTHER DINERS in the room. I hated this expensive evening with consistently glum wait staff...Awful!
gautreaux's has now replaced clancy's as our favorite restaurant.
Visited Gautreau's Restaurant for the first time in 1995! Revisit every year of so since then and always one of the best restaurants in New Orleans! Food is Great as well as the service. You'll find that most of the guest are local which says it all!
located in a residential area of the garden district without a name on the outside... just the street number!
With many very good restaurants to visit, this is my favorite of them all!
Service, food, location were all great.
It is a small restaurant and not easy to social distance.
The noise level is pretty high.
The banana split dessert is fantastic.
Always a pleasure.
The service was wonderful, the food was a lovely blend of textures and flavors and the atmosphere is attractive and comfortable.
Dining here is a special and memorable experience.
Our favorite restaurant in New Orleans. A small restaurant that is beautifully decorated and a great experience in every way. Out of the tourist district and obviously frequented by residents of the Garden District. We always try to eat at Gautreau's when we are in New Orleans.
Incredible food. Wonderful service.
Excellent food and world-class hospitality! Extremely enjoyable evening!!
We love this restaurant and come to it when we visit New Orleans. The good and service are great.
We were celebrating our 38th anniversary, eating here made it very special! Everyone was very nice & polite.
Great service, nice atmosphere and amazing food. One of the best in NOLA.
One of the best small neighborhood restaurants in New Orleans...a hidden gem!
Genuine nola experience. Exceptional!
The best restaurants in New Orleans are not in tourist areas, but in neighborhoods. Gautreau's is one of the best. I has been a favorite of locals for decades. The food is excellent and creative. The soups are always very good, and they have wonderful appetizers including foie gras, or duck confit. Steaks, fresh fish, duck, shrimp etc. The service is wonderful. Parking is on the streets in the neighborhood or take a taxi or uber. You should get out of the house, dress up and enjoy a nice evening out.
We celebrated my 54th birthday, my wife and two daughters. My was wheelchair bound from a recent broken ankle. The host was very helpful and went above and beyond to help us get in and out of the front door, and the car. A wonderful meal and experience.
A wonderful experience.
Gautreau’s never disappoints! Delicious as always!
Good food and service
The food, the service, the old school elegance- all created a delightful evening. Put on a jacket and tie and take your special someone out for a real date. That’s not required but why not? It fits the ambiance and quality of this lovely little restaurant.
Excellent food (as always), great service, welcoming atmosphere. I recommend it highly.
