   Bad experience over priced, awkward and bad quality food Steak wasn’t bad but the trimmings and sides bland and lukewarm Kids meals returned for being cremated and was replaced with microwaved macaroni cheese which also never got eaten Offered glasses of water but forgot to mention it would cost us £5.50 as it was coming out a tap filled glass bottle £14 service charge that’s unavoidable going on like London As for service had a French waiter I think he was took orders then said oh wait I didn’t take ladies order first and scribbled out all orders and started again also brought wrong orders then when pointing out he had brought the wrong order was trying to say this is what we ordered very awkward experience not the best won’t be back especially for the price

   Staff were first class and the food was perfectly cooked. Absolutely delicious.

   The ambience in this restaurant is friendly and suitable for many occasions. The service in each visit has been attentive and engaging. the steaks are tender and tasteful and the best in Newcastle. the wine list offers a good selection of Argentina and European wines

   The service was exceptional ; attentive and prompt but not overwhelming or intrusive . The food was good but the crepe for dessert was cool and not very light. The prawns for starter were delicious as was the steak which was perfectly cooked and still hit when it arrived despite being rare. The only thing that spoilt the experience was the room temperature which was cool bordering on cold! This would make me not want to return.

   Dinner for 2 7.30 booking- v good ambience on arrival. No demonstration or explanation of the steaks which used to be a ‘thing’ (perhaps isn’t PC anymore) and not quite the attentive service we’ve had here before. One lady, not our waiter, suddenly appeared with a plate and slammed it in front of me before my churrasco de chorizo arrived which was odd and rude. Food was 100% and sublime tasting. Always top class in this regard. SM

   Our order was messed up. Waitress didn’t ask how my daughter’s steak was to be cooked and despite advising all three should be medium-rare, hers came out medium (to medium-well). Starters arrived with the mains. Waiting staff seemed inexperienced. Not the service we are used to at Gaucho in London

   Went on Mother's Day. table booked at 6.45, only shown to table at 7.20 apart from the wait the service was good and the food was good.

    It was Mothers Day so really busy but that didn’t affect service. It was however incredibly noisy which drowned out the live music, especially the children which can’t be helped. Sea bass looked very good but didn’t come with anything, not even a little side salad, we had to add sides of mash, veg etc. The roast beef was actually like two small steaks, tasty but quite fatty and chewy which you wouldn’t get from an actual roast. Other than that it was good, not cheap but where is these days?
