The food was amazing! Our server William was super attentive. Everything was great EXCEPT we were extremely disappointed to find out the place is closing... new management and will be turned into a night club. No more amazing food. Hopefully they are able to find another location and open up once again! Thanks for a wonderful dinner and dining experience.

Went here for a late Valentines Date with wife, first time going. The server was friendly and helpful with menu, their fillet mignon was one of the most tender and flavorful we have had. Their empanadas were great as well.

The food is DELISH and a great value. It's a bit of a drive from Huntington Beach, but well worth it. The service is a little slow, but friendly. So, just be patient. They have a decently priced wine list and we were treated to some live music on a Saturday night. I recommend ordering multiple bowls of chimichurri, as you'll want to just drink it!

The service started out great but fell short halfway through the meal. Drinks were taking to long and it almost seemed like they didn’t want you to leave which is great if they were bringing you more drinks. It took over 30 minuets to get them to bring the check for us to pay and leave.
It’s a great place to try if you’re looking for something different. I’m not Argentinian so it’s different for me.

By far the worst experience we’ve had at this restaurant this is the third time we’ve came but today was the worst!, I get it’s Valentine’s Day but for the same reason the staff should be prepared for the ocasión they gave us a limited menu so it should’ve been a lot faster than it was, we waited for about 30-40 minutes before they even came to ask what we wanted to drink keep in mind I had made a reservation for 8:00 pm weeks before, by the time they came to ask what we wanted to drink we already knew what we wanted to eat as well so we told the waitress what we wanted she took our order took about 15 minutes to get 2 glasses of water! And we waited another 20-25 minutes for our appetizers to come out when they did we ate them they were “ok” took another 25 minutes for our food to come out when it did arrive it was cold! They took it back brought it warm and for the dessert it took a while as well in the time we were there about 6-8 couples got up and left because they were taking forever to take their order! We will not be coming back to this restaurant at all!

Excellent location with delicious food at a very reasonable price (we got the dinner special which was fabulous)!

The atmosphere was great and the staff was very friendly and engaging (the owner even came to our table twice to check on us in regards to our meal).

The nice time I'm in Long Beach, I'll definitely be back to this location to eat!

Best skirt steak cooked to medium rare perfection. And the how did they make that broccoli! It was amazing food. The place was packed so they were understaffed but friendly folks. Good redwine. Wonderful live music. Best value.

I came strictly to try the food, which I thought was amazing. The appetizers and desert were my favorite. My friends and I tried all the empenadaz, delicious. I recommend the spinach and cheese and the chicken. The meal was not perfect though. They forgot to put in one of my friends meals. But they quickly fixed that problem and did not charge him, which to me is awesome service, because they made a mistake and he didn't have to pay for it. They also gave us all deserts! Overall, I would definitely come back.

We've been coming here for years. Never disappointed. Food is always fresh and perfectly prepared. Staff is always attentive. They have a good wine list that is not overly priced. It's a great place for a romantic date night, which is how we use it regularly.

We came for restaurant week and really enjoyed the experience. The lamb (especially the sauce and accompanying vegetables) and dessert (we got the bread pudding and panqueques) in particular were delicious and the staff were very attentive. My boyfriend found his cocktail to be a little too sweet but I enjoyed my wine selection. We will come again!

I made a reservation for a birthday dinner. We showed up on time and still waited about 15 mins before we were acknowledged. That's how busy it was. As we got up and gave them our reservation the guy told us it would be about a 30 min wait. He said the people were still having dinner from when they opened up at 5pm. I find that odd for a restaurant to have customers wait on behalf of other people being there for almost 2.5 hours. Like you don't care about turning around tables? There was no room to wait at the bar and the only waiting is outside. Right now waiting outside isn't an option for as cold it was. They were no help in trying to accommadate our reservations and also turning away walk ins. It just kinda ruined the anticipation and celebration this night. So we had no choice but to go somewhere else.

Host couldn’t find my reservation because they still use pen and paper for all reservations. Offered to get us a table within 15-20 minutes while we sat at the bar. It was fine, the bartender gave us some water and some bread while we waited. 15 minutes pass...20 minutes...30...40...more than an hour later a couple that came 10 minutes after us went to complain while they were cleaning a table for 4 (we had 3 people). The host gets scared and promises the table to them, but we were waiting longer and had more people. The host didn’t know how to do his job so we complained to him and he tries to lie his way out! We told him that we have been waiting for a table and that we were there first, but instead of checking his old school roster he just tells us that the couple behind us came here at 7! I WAS ABOUT TO GO OFF ON HIM! They clearly came after us, sat at the bar after us, and waited less than we did!!! The host looked flustered and didn’t know what to do so he just stood there looking at us and the table for a good 5 minutes. Honestly, do your job and find a solution. My friend just told him we came first and that they sat after us so then he decided to give the 4 seat table to us. Then literally less than 5 minutes later he FOUND another table for 2 for the couple to sit in. That table was available 25 minutes before and he never thought to sit them there? Instead he tried lying and giving us crap. I literally have never came across such a crappy host. Other than him, pretty much all the staff were good. I was confused who our server was, but it was packed for such a small place. The food was really good and the music was great! Loved it except that crap we had to go through at the beginning.

My new favorite restaurant in downtown Long Beach. Every item was delicious from appetizer to main course to dessert. Even my special sangria was worth mentioning.
Highlights - appetizer gnocchi, hangar steak, dulce de leche dessert crepe.

The food was decent but the service was very slow. And although our server was friendly he was a bit on the pushy side. When I made the reservation I mentioned that we needed to leave by a certain time because were attending a show. They couldn't find our reservation. it took them almost 5 minutes or so before they even came to the concierge desk. The service was so slow that we realized we were going to be late. So we asked for our dessert to go because we were running so late. And they gave us a little bit of a hard time about taking it to go. Had we been served a bit quicker the meal would have been less stressed and could have enjoyed our food more.

Went on day 1 of Dine LA. The food that we did we receive was very good. The service was the best that could be expected as they seem to have been short staffed( our waitress was behind the bar at times). I allotted 1.5 hrs. for dinner to make it to a movie afterwards and ultimately I had to leave before dessert and getting up to get my bill as the waitress was nowhere to be found.

All the above being said I would go back as the food I did receive was great, portions bordering on huge and the restaurant itself is very cozy. I'll go on a Saturday afternoon and sit on the patio and relax for a couple hours LOL!!!

This is also something to consider by OpenTable because on special occasions restaurants over commit and app doesn’t reflect it

I love this charming restaurant. The food is fresh and delicious. I especially love the gnocchi which is as light as a cloud. Argentines dine. There is no pressure to hurry so the owner can turn over the table. You are welcome to stay all night. This restaurant is one of my all time favorites.

Excellent service. Our waiter, William, saw that we were not enjoying our lambchops. He politely came over & asked us how we ordered our lambchops. He then looked at our lambchops & noticed they were prepared wrong. He immediately sent it back to the kitchen & resolved the matter. When William returned, he brought us our lambchops just the way we ordered them. WILLIAM, MANY THANKS FOR AN EXCELLENT DINING EXPERIENCE. We will be definitely returning for more.

Gaucho is a place I've been to a few times. The food is terrific - simple but extremely well made. What makes this place special is the staff. Very attentive, very well trained and extremely focused on delivering a great experience. I love this place, and hope to eat here many many more times.

Pro tip - dessert here is awesome. If I could, I'd eat just this. The mozzarella caprese salad is also amazing, as is the Bife Al Ajo. Everything is great though, you can't go wrong with anything on this menu.
