Great food, although I'm not convinced that a rump steak , chips and a couple of sides should be over £50 a head. Service at the table was good and non intrusive, but bar service was poor and inattentive for a quiet Monday night. Bar person tried to get me to return to my table, for her to send some over to take the order, while she stood there waiting. Er, No...

We went to Gaucho as my partner found out they are dog friendly for lunch service and we couldn’t have been happier. There are not enough restaurants that provide proper service and amazing food, and allow dog owners to have their dogs with them, so I cannot sing their praises enough. Our server was Sam D. and he helped enhance our experience no end. The advice and suggestions made our meal hassle free and a wonderful experience. The chateaubriand was delicious and the accompanying Gran Malbec was incredibly drinkable. We will certainly be back the next time we visit Glasgow.

Service was too quick, you were being rushed out the door. Starter arrived before drinks, main arrived before table was even cleared of the starter dishes and then given the bill as they needed the table back but it had only been 1hr and 15mins.

First time visit to Gaucho after recommendation from a friend. Empanada starter and bread basket were very tasty. Ribeye and fillet steaks (medium rare) were cooked perfectly, delicious and certainly amongst the best we’ve ever had in any steak restaurant. Olivia was our server (very professional) but we noted the polite, exemplary and consistent service from *all* staff. Thanks for a pleasant afternoon lunch.

Sleeky and trendy place in the centre of Glasgow. Food and service was good but everything we ordered was missing the wow factor. Have travelled to Argentina and the steaks here are not nearly as good as they are overthere. The noise level is also very high, making it difficult to have a conversation with your fellow diners. Deserves a 7 out of 10 in my opinion.

Nice food but absolutely spoiled with atrocious service, incorrect food, some or the sides brought too late after mains finished. Terrible wine and a fuss to change it after they recommended it. It appeared they were getting rid or a bad bin. Offered free cocktails as an apology then charged us for them on the bill. To add insult to injury tried to charge us 20% service charge. Overall a disappointing experience, manager very apologetic but by that time we’d had the frustration and poor service.

We opted for eat all Sunday lunch and received sufficient quantity of food - after having to ask for more beef and lamb. Food was well cooked and enjoyable but still feel that prices are a bit over the top. Not great value for the money paid’

Our experience at Gaucho actually started 24 hours earlier when we arrived at the desk having been delivered to the wrong restaurant. The manager quickly understood our predicament and truly went above and beyond to insure that we were headed off correctly - going so far as to type the correct name of the restaurant where we had reservations into my Uber phone app. We were so impressed we booked it for the following night, and were very glad we did. We shared a beautifully cooked Chateaubriand that was absolutely delicious. It was accompanied by a smooth and tasty Malbec, decanted at our table by our server, who really knew her stuff. The meal was a wonderful, memorable experience and we are so glad we stumbled into it.

Overall we enjoyed our night. We were a bit let down with some of the sides, such as the mash and Mac and cheese. We felt for the price we paid it could’ve been better. Staff were excellent & steak lovely. We got free Prosecco on arrival as we were celebrating our anniversary😊

We had a great night, made even better by our lovely waitress Olivia. She recommended an amazing bottle of wine for us which went well with our dinner. We felt so looked after, as if we were the only ones in the restaurant. Can’t wait to return!

Having only previously dined in the London Gaucho and been wowed by our visit, I was so excited when Goucho came to Glasgow. Sadly it doesn’t come close to the same experience. The food was very good, but totally let down by the service and timings expected to wait on drinks and food. One barman expected to make drinks/cocktails for the whole restaurant on a Saturday night is a bismal. The waitress we had easily had to look after 12-15 tables alone and so was hard to get attention of, had to ask if we could order after being sat with a menu for 25mins, ordered and had to waited 20mins for first drinks to appear, so that’s 40mins seated just to get a drink… managed to get her attention to ask for a straw for long awaited drink, only to wait another 10 minutes for that. Staters then arrived, asked for some balsamic vinegar for it that never arrived and waitress was no where to be seen for 10minutes so starter was finished and she came to clear plates clearly had forgotten the sauce request. All other servers ran off their feet. Mains arrived and food was great but honestly when you are paying those prices for food, other standards should be met, and this just wasn’t the case for us which I am sad to say. Won’t be rushing back unless more staff are hired, which should be possible given the prices you pay there.

Good place and nice atmosphere and staff. Food and drink (esp. wine) very over-priced for the standard provided. Steaks were ok but have had better elsewhere sadly. They were lukewarm too which was a shame. Food was good, but not worth the bill price at the end of the day
