Hannah was amazing, we went to dinner for Valentine’s Day. They seemed to be understaffed but Hannah did a great job and was so sweet. The food was delicious! Especially the pizza
The kitchen was understaffed and our food took a very long time. There is a possibility that our server lost the order because most other tables were served before us even while seated long after us.
The server broke the cork off in our wine.
The lighting was bright enough to be close to the surface of the sun.
The temperature was so cold inside that a most every single guest was wearing a full coat while dining.
Brendan, who was not our server, did his best to try and make it right and I appreciate that.
Server was great and the food delicious!
Due to COVID, the tables were extremely spaced out (like, overly spaced out), there was nothing on the tables, no decor. It felt like an empty cafeteria. We booked Valentine's and they put us in a back corner in the bar in plastic booths.. it was just a very odd ambiance. I'm sure it's must better during normal times. Menu looked good but unfortunately we didn't want to pay that price for an uncomfortable dining room.
This was our first time dining and we were very impressed. The service was great, food was delicious and the Somali cocktail alone is worth returning for. The only issues 1) Valet parking was backed up at the hotel so had to park and walk, 2) it was so cold outside (Valentine's weekend 2021) that we were shivering sitting by the windows. The host did adjust the temperature at our request but it did cool our meals quickly.
Limited staffing due to Covid made for long waits to get seated, plus host gave us snarky attitude saying it wasn't his job to staff the place!
Great pizza and happy hour! $5 house wine, beer & well cocktails 4-7pm.
the food was delicious, especially the fettuccini alfredo. Ambiance was great. Our waiter was exceptional! Thank you for the great handling of everything during these COVID times!
The pizza was great and made with good quality ingredients. The $14 meatball appetizer was a hug disappointment though. They were overcooked and tasted like they were just reheated frozen meatballs; if you’re gonna charge that much for meatballs you should make sure they are homemade. The staff were all extremely helpful, courteous and attentive. Overall it was a good experience.
We are on our honeymoon!
Went here for Christmas. Was good! Do not know if we would go again. Service was great though!
The pizza is delicious! Wish we could have enjoyed indoor dining.
I had a fantastic dinner at Gattara, the Braised Short Rib entree is rich, flavorful, and delicious, so much so, that I was looking forward to having my leftovers the next day. The service provided by our server Brent was great, he was attentive, cheerful and had great recommendations for us. I look forward to returning to try some of their other items.
First time eating here- will definitely be back. Great food, great HH menu, & excellent service!
very good discovery we will be back...................
Food was very good, pizza was on point and risotto was so rich and creamy. Really delicious and the service was excellent as well. Very lovely atmosphere, great evening out!
Great food and our service was incredible. Our server was so great and made the dinner even better!!
Not a large choice of menu but food was good. Attentive staff. Nice range of drinks but they were expensive.
Everything we had was very good, but it’s a pretty limited menu. Staff was very nice and attentive and knew their stuff, especially the liquor choices.
Elk pepperoni pizza was amazing, and they also had a great wine selection.
And don’t even get me started on the Serengeti cocktail 👌🏼
I’ve been staying at The Warwick for a few weeks. Everyone at Gattara is wonderful. Every time I am in, the service and food alike are exceptional.
The restaurant and the hotel lobby are tastefully decorated with fireplaces, great lighting, comfortable seating, a baby grand piano, a living room style dining room, and games and books for the wait. I felt like I was eating in a home with our table in front of the fireplace. Our server Mary was attentive, but not overbearing; kind a conversational, but never a nuisance.
When the bill came out I was expecting to pay a decent price because the food was just marvelous. My friend and I split a Margherita pizza, the grilled octopus small plate and the burrata and a small salad, and only paid $37! (no wine or dessert tonight)
I was stunned, having forgotten the prices on the menu, to pay in total what I would’ve paid for the pizza or the burrata individually. The tastes were $$$$ quality for $$ prices. I couldn’t believe it. I will certainly be going back soon and often, next time with my Polaroid camera to take some photos in the lobby.
The food was amazing! We got the mushroom pizza and were blown away. Best pizza we have had in a while.
Lots on the menu that looked delicious and will definitely go back soon!
We booked our first visit here for Valentines Dinner and were overall happy with the experience! Of course it was a bit crowded, so tables were close, but the food did not disappoint! Our service was OK, but the ambiance and other staff of the hotel and restaurant made our night.
Cute decor, delicious food! Service was very slow at times, though we were there on a busy night. Steak was perfect but still a bit overpriced, esp compared to the rest of the menu. Will definitely go back in the future!
Great pizza, great service. Great job guys.
The food was very good and the service was great. Definitely recommend.
Great experience at this recently remodeled restaurant. Wonderful atmosphere (love the cute cat decorations-great for photos) and incredible food. The appetizer and main course I had was amazing and flavorful (the Cesar salad and the Lamb chop). I also was beyond pleased with the services I received from Mariah J. as our waitress and Mariah M. who assisted as well. Mariah J. went above and beyond to make our dining experience the best it could be and was attentive to all of our needs. Both Mariah J. and Mariah M. provided professional, amazing customer service to us as well as the other customers, which really created a happy, comfortable environment for everyone at Gattara. Brett and Ezra were the bartenders working whom not only made incredible drinks (isle of man is my favorite), but also had unique, positive energies that also made our experience at Gattara fun and delightful. They also accommodated for all of my mixology needs (I like my cocktails extra spicy and they did not disappoint)! Great bartenders like Brett and Ezra are always the cherry on top of a perfect dining experience! As a hospitality industry worker, you really appreciate individuals like these who really make your experience personable and memorable. I will be coming back for the great food, drinks, and 10/10 service from these employees!!
We ate at Gattara on a Sunday mid-morning. The menu was too limited for some of our party but all of the food was wonderful. We had benedicts and pizza - absolutely delishious! The wait staff was jovial and efficient. We had a great time!
Try the ice cream sandwich and the charred octopus. The bartenders are super knowledgable and make tasty cocktails, especially Brett. Exquisite flavor.
Really nice restaurant. Good margarita pizza great salad interesting mushroom risotto and good dessert. It’s a quiet restaurant in a boutique hotel with a nice fire place and an attractive bar. Free valet parking.
Id definitely go again.
Very nice server, went out of his way. The food was very good, all parts well done. But it was expensive for breakfast.....
Beautiful space! We loved our meatball appetizer, it was outstanding. Only complaint is that we ordered the chicken entree (for him) and a pizza (for me); there was a huge gap between the two. Our server informed us that the pizza would come out slightly ahead of time, but I wasn’t expecting a 10+ minute gap. It was awkward as I wanted to wait for my guest before I ate, but I also didn’t want my pizza to be room temp/cold before I could enjoy it. There IS a way to properly time food to get to the table at the same time. If this establishment can’t accomplish that, then their future may be questionable.
This was a disappointing meal, mostly due to poor timing and service. While our waitress was cordial enough, the appetizer, entree and dessert courses each came out to members of our party at different times so no one could eat at the same time. Our waitress also seemed inexperienced and we had to ask her a few times for different things such as water and clearing the table.
The food itself was ok but nothing was amazing. The bruschetta was stone cold; the asparagus was flavorless. The butter lettuce salad had skimpy ingredients and the dressing lacked enough vinegar. Entrees fares better: the salmon and chicken entrees were well-prepared. My husband had the pizza; he liked it but didn’t find it unique in any way. There are no stand-alone pasta dishes, which was surprising.
The atmosphere had some charm with the cat decor, but the light wood and a few cute cat ceramics on the shelves didn’t quite mesh with the black cat theme. The bar seemed a bit more cohesive with its darker ambiance.
I’m hoping the kitchen ups its timing and staff settles in, which would improve the entire experience. A little edginess to the ambiance would enhance the experience as well - especially for Uptown, which has some great, funky restaurants and bars.
We had pizza and meatballs. They were sooo good. Coffee cakes were so so. There wasn’t any taste of coffee and the the cake wasn’t soft. The orange peels might’ve overpowered the taste of coffee. Service was super. We had a great time. We stayed 3 nights at the Warwick hotel and we will be back.
I reserved (through OpenTable) for a $58/person Christmas dinner and what I got was a grossly overpriced $38/person glorified hotel breakfast. I made an advance reservation to ensure a decent table but was shown instead to a table at the kitchen door; after refusing that table, the confused hostess took 10 minutes to figure out an alternative in the half-filled restaurant, and the manager seemed much more interested in keeping his young friends happy. The carver/bartender paid more attention to his personal cell calls than the line of customers waiting for slices of ham. Food lowlights: individually packaged yoghurt; do-it-yourself toast; two fingers of fruit smoothies; inedible shrimp cocktail sauce; no vegetables in sight; painfully slow to refill items; a sad cheese plate. We won't be back.
We stayed 3 nights at the Warwick hotel. We had brunch buffet on Christmas day. It was great!! The only problem we had was that the blonde hair lady tried to get rid of the table at the worst spot when there were 2 other empty tables available but I insisted on one of the other two that was avail. Every one else who work there was super. Food was delicious. We also had a regular breakfast on the 24th and brunch on the 26th. Pizza and meatballs were exceptional!!! I don’t think I like their coffee cake. The orange peel kind of overpowered the taste of coffee cake.
Just want to check it out as it is a local. Pizza was great so was the entrée. Ambience was really nice and fit for about any occasion. Cameron was our server and all five stars.
It was quiet for a Friday night but it could’ve been because of the holiday week. The food was very good and the portions were great. It was a little pricier than I was expecting but buying all three courses of dinner with a couple of drinks for each of us, it’s not surprising. We really enjoyed the cat theme of the restaurant. We will definitely be visiting again!
