   I generally don’t leave reviews, however, my wife and I dined at Gate 12 and weren’t impressed. I’ve broken down our experience below. Service - Upon walking in the establishment, the hostess seemed lost/confused when we told her we had made a reservation. It didn’t really seem to matter as it wasn’t very busy. Our server was a great kid that was very attentive and made sure check in on us multiple times. Atmosphere - We were sat in a booth that didn’t have a view of the runway, which was a little disappointing. One of the lures to go here was the view. We did notice that the booth in front of us had a cut out in the wall where they could at least see through. We also didn’t care for the lightning above our booth as it was a bright white light. Only other thing to note was the dress code, we notice several tables with guests in T-Shirts and shorts. We kind of expected the dinner service to have a little more of a dress code. Food - The bread and “hot oil” that you get when you are seated is very good! However, this was clouded by the sub par entrees. My wife had the Chicken Scampi which had over cooked noodles and bland sauce. I had the Shrimp Vera Cruz which was okay, but nothing to rave about. I also noticed that one of my shrimps was not deveined all the way. Overall, our visit to Gate 12 wasn’t the best and we don’t have plans to revisit for dinner. The price did not match the experience we were hoping for. It may be a good place to grab a burger and watch the planes during the day, if you can get a table with a view.

   Four of us had lunch on Saturday. Two had chili and loved it. Two had corned beef sandwiches and loved them, All enjoyed good Bloody Marys.

   Unique setting perfect for lunch, happy hour, or a great dinner. Food is outstanding with interesting flavors. Portions way too large, but great for leftovers. Service is always friendly and attentive. This has become one of our "go-to" places.

   Food was excellent although some menu items not available, waitress was excellent and attentive. After she took our dessert orders she came back to say one option wasn’t available and offered alternatives. She came back twice more to say she was following up on dessert orders. She finally came back to say that dessert still hadn’t been plated and she would take it off our bill, not offering us the option to continue waiting or offer an adjustment to the bill for the inconvenience. Manager came by to apologize and mentioned graduation and Mother’s Day crowds and tired staff. Have never had dessert delayed and then cancelled like that before.

   This is a solidly okay place. We arrived at 11:15 expecting to order off the brunch menu, but were told that they didn't serve anything but breakfast until noon (no big deal). We ordered breakfast and the food was good. I had a biscuit with my meal, but needed to ask for butter to put on it. My wife had the chicken and pancakes and had to ask for syrup. It was a little weird. We'd heard great things from others, so maybe the experience was just too built up in our heads?

   We had a fabulous time, and unfortunately, it was graduation, and a large party sat close to us, increasing the noise level a little more than we had expected. The food was absolutely spectacular. Our server was terrific.

    We celebrated my daughter's graduation from Texas A&M on May 13th at Gate 12. It was the highlight of our trip to Texas. The bartender Zach and our waiter Tim were amazing!!! They made the celebration perfect! They were friendly, informative, provided impeccable service and by the end of our visit they felt like family. We are telling all our family and friends about the great experience at Gate 12!!! LOVED IT!!!!!!

    The quality of my filet was excellent and my son enjoyed his sliders; the only disappointment was with my wife’s grilled shrimp & mashed sweet potatoes, both of which had WAY too much salt; when it comes to salt a chef should err on the side of less, not more (that’s why you provide a shaker on the table)… one can always add more, but once you’ve added too much, you can’t remove it. Also, the shrimp were over-cooked… tough & rubbery. Similarly, shrimp are much better slightly undercooked (and will continue to cook on their own, on the way to the table), but once you’ve taken them beyond that point, they’re not good to eat. At least the server was happy to remove them from our ticket.

    Fun experience! Even though we didn’t get to sit in the runway dining area, we could still see the windows from our table. So it was neat to see the planes go by! I wasn’t expecting the restaurant to be upscale, we really enjoyed it and the food was amazing!! We had a NY Strip, Filet, Gate 12 burger and mozz sticks and different sides. It was all great!

    My daughter and wife order a filet mignon. They both received bourbon glaze pork. It took over 20 minutes for them to get their steaks. Everyone else was finished with their meal. The manager never came over to apologize. Big bummer for a graduation celebration. Last time I go back to Gate 12

    This was my third time to eat at Gate 12 - the food and service has always been excellent. It is so enjoyable to enjoy your meal and drinks while watching the airport traffic. First class service and food.

    Drove to CS for a few hours to celebrate daughter's 20th birthday. 3 steaks, 1 chicken fried chicken. All very good. Nice to watch plans come and go.

    We dined in the Runway Dining Room and thoroughly enjoyed the planes and helicopters taking off and landing. Then our food arrived which was delicious! Everything was cooked just right-filets, Chicken and shrimp and sides. Our server Savannah was the best; friendly, attentive and personable. It was a wonderful place to dine and visit.

    We went to Gate 12 for an early dinner with reservations to celebrate our daughter getting her Aggie ring. The hostess seated us immediately and our waiter Dax came by quickly to offer drinks. Service was quick but not rushed. Our food was delicious. The owner and 2 managers stopped by to ask about our meal and congratulate our Aggie. Cool atmosphere. Great experience.

    The food and the ambience was very good however, very frustrated in the fact that we had booked over 2 months out since it was family weekend. We were not placed by the windows specifically had requested that…. he requested once we were there and told they weren’t able to accommodate us.     Went here during family weekend and had the BEST experience. The staff was amazing and prompted diners when certain planes were coming in and leaving. We got to see a few fighter jets take off. Food was pretty good, drinks were great and the service was fantastic.

    We made reservations for 9:30, and because of the ring ceremony celebrations, it was hard to get an Uber on time. We arrived about 15 minutes late. They were so accommodating and made us feel so welcome. Ann, our server... Oh my goodness, I wish every server was as sweet and efficient as Ann. She was hands down the BEST we've had in I can't remember when. She was friendly without being intrusive and made sure we had all we needed. Actually, all of the staff was so friendly. I wish I had taken pictures of the food, which was all wonderful, but my favorite was the mozzarella sticks. This is a unique and must try imo! Our 3 college boys loved it as well. Kudos to y'all @ Gate 12 bar & grill!!!!
