   Highly recommended by someone who lives across the street from this informal neighborhood gem. It did not disappoint. The waitress was very familiar with both the dishes and the wines.

   Very nice experience. We came early, around 6:30 and had a great bottle of rose. Unfortunately, there was no more. That was the only downside.

   Comfortable, quiet neighborhood spot w/deliciously authentic Italian food - by which I mean - the flavors and textures are totally reminiscent of eating in Italy.

   As always, wonderful, inventive menu, very fair prices, excellent wine list. Have eaten here several times in the past, and continue to return. The best restaurant, without question, in the neighborhood (between 96th and 110, on west side).

   Excellent food and caring service, though one order came late (yet was paid for by the restaurant as a result). Will continue to come back for some of the best Italian outside of Italy.

   A lovely, intimate Italian restaurant with excellent homemade pasta and an incredible meatball appetizer. The prices for the pasta dishes are quite reasonable ($12-$17) but the beverages and, especially, desserts are where they get you. $14 for strudel? That cost more than any of our pasta dishes. And since the desserts aren't listed on the menu, the server tells you what they are, you need to make sure to ask for prices. I wish we had!

   Beyond the unusual menu and the terrific food and wine, going to this restaurant always feels like a welcome escape from the everyday. The presence of the chef/owner helps and so does the warm, professional no-attitude atmosphere.

   Nice, friendly neighborhood restaurant in an area with few. Good food and friendly service keep us coming back.

   After reading a glowing review in the NY times we were very excited to try this place. Dinner started well enough but the first sign that things would not go well was that we asked 3 times and still no one brought my husband a glass for water. The starters were ok, nothing special. The main courses were inedible. The cacio e Pepe was ridiculously salty (this is a dish my husband orders all the time), the pasta overlooked, and the dish was not hot. I had the squid ink pasta which was not cooked (still crunchy, we are not talking al dente). When they came to collect our plates they did not even seem to notice that our entrees were uneaten and didn't ask why.
