Relaxing enjoyable fun
First time to try them. Went to celebrate my sisters anniversary. Everything was great. Our waiter was Nick and he did an excellent job taking care of us. Food was done perfectly and we were all very satisfied. We will definitely be back.
My wife and I scheduled a couples' night with dinner reservations at The Gaslight Grill. We were not disappointed. The ordered food was excellent, with a very pleasing presentation. We dined in the "Back Room" where we could see and hear the jazz music of the Lynn Zimmer Band, which performed quite well. If you prefer to have a "quiet" conversation, you should not request to dine in the same room that the jazz band plays because you may struggle with hearing a "quiet" conversation.
Excellent service by Marvin. The group will be back soon.
Outstanding food and service. This restaurant is on the pricier side but the attention from the staff and management was superior and well worth it. Phenomenal brunch offerings
Best Sunday Brunch around. The bread pudding is to die for. Love the variety of food items.
Great dinner and excellent service.
Steaks were cooked perfectly!
Two items. First, I made reservations on-line, believing I had reserved a table in the Jazz room. When we arrived, we found out that was not the case. Your greeters hooked us up and changed the reservation so we could eat in the Jazz Room. But fix your webpage.
Secondly, for a supposedly classy place, demanding nearly the highest prices in our KC area, it sucked to sit at a table that was unlevel. It was much like you'd experience in a cheap bar. It kept rocking. In the old days, a pack of matches would have worked. But no longer. Black table cloth and classy, but cheap and low rent in this regard. The table was located in the Jazz Room, Wednesday night, 4 April. It was a table for two located just behind the wooden polet that partially blocked the view. Located about the second row back, straight in from the entrance, and straight out from the private glassed in sitting area.
Otherwise, meal was very good, atmosphere was nice for our 38th anniversary. The service? Superb. From your bar staff, where we enjoyed wine before meal at 6:30, your greeters, and our waitress. They were all top notch and attentive.
Went over and beyond making my 20th anniversary special.
It was very nice.
Great happy hour, drinks were well mixed and presented!
Easter Sunday brunch! Good!
Food was delicious as always. It was Easter Brunch so we knew it would be busy. Seating was about 20 minutes late for our reservation. We wound up with a booth in the bar, right in front of the dessert tables which meant we had people standing over the top of us constantly and jostling our table . I love GG but will never accept a table in the bar again during brunch. It was hard to enjoy the meal with all people constantly hovering over our table as they waited to go through the dessert line.
Easter tables too close. Couldn’t hear the conversations at our own table. Food overpriced.
My children and I went for Easter Brunch. The spread was impressive and the atmosphere was nice. The food was good, but non-offensive. Mild. Nothing wowed with the exception of the cream brulee, which was amazing. It was good. Pretty. Non-offensive. I probably won't go back, but it is a solid choice.
We enjoyed Easter brunch. Food was delicious and servers were attentive.
Easter brunch was fantastic
Jake was a outstanding server in the bar!!!! Besides waiting on you he also makes fabulous drinks!!
My out-of-town guests and I had a lovely dinner at Gaslight Grill. Everything we ordered was very good and the service was attentive.
Great for my one year anniversary with my girlfriend. She really enjoyed her seafood, as I did as well. The staff was on top of everything. Our server without mentioning anything about it being a special date or anything volunteered to take pictures of us together. He had great sense of timing not coming to our table too often to check on us and coming enough to ensure our needs/wants were always met.
This was a Birthday dinner for our son and his wife
Our dining experience was wonderful. Our server, Martin, was exceptional. Attentive yet not overbearing. I had the stuffed salmon. Was delicious. My date had the Wagyu Ribeye. While it had wonderful flavor, it was on the chewy side. Ordering it med-rare, I would have thought it would have been extremely tender. Overall the evening was awesome. Our cocktails were also wonderful. Well made.
Enjoyed the evening, service was great!
Then we listened to great music too.
We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at Gaslight Grill and it was perfect. We dined on a Sunday evening from 5:30 to approximately 7:30 pm. The restaurant was not busy during this time so it was quiet and conversation was quite easy. Service was great. Food was delicious. The music was our favorite part! Thanks to Gaslight Grill for an exceptional anniversary celebration experience.
After years of going to the Bristol, we decided to give Gaslight a try. This was our 23rd anniversary, so a special occasion. The staff is amazing. Service was absolutely top notch both in the bar and at the table. While much of the dinner was just okay, the Crab bisque was one of the best that both of us had ever tasted. Had the meal ended there it would have been perfect. I had the Porterhouse steak cooked rare. It came closer to medium and the steak was clearly not a prime cut. Tough and just a tad overcooked. Not enough to send it back, but not what you would expect from a top restaurant and a $50 steak. My wife had the scallops. She said they were cooked well, but the preparation had so much other stuff going on that it took away from the flavor of the scallops, rather than as an enhancement. We did opt for desert. Unfortunately they were mediocre at best. We had a tiramisu and a cheesecake. Both tasted like we could have purchased them at the grocery store pre-made. Definitely a disappointment. All and all we have had better food, but not better service. Therein lies the catch 22. Great staff, but food was average at best. We really wanted to love everything.
Great food and great service. Marvin was our waiter and he was awesome.
This restaurant has become our favorite place to celebrate special occasions!
Wonderful music from jazz quartet. Impeccable service. Waiter located root beer from bar for my grandson. Celebrated 3 birthdays with 5+ food items. Toss up between the stuffed salmon and the BBQ baby back ribs as to which was best.
Overall good, prime rib, shrimp, desserts and cold smoked salmon were very good. Some of the buffet breakfast items were just average. The servers were swamped.
And AMAZING brunch and the staff was very courteous and helpful
Before going here for brunch I had only been for dinner, however the experience was just as nice. I absolutely love the atmosphere there and they have separate dining rooms for private dining or small parties. I suggest everyone within distance try this restaurant and even if you're not that close it is worth the drive. The customer service here is top notch, all the employees are friendly, helpful and treat you like they appreciate your business. They gave me a very warm greeting, thanked me for coming when I left. This is a very nice place to dine, oh by the way the food was fantastic!
It was wonderful as always. Kind of pricey but the food is great.
We'll be back. Super service, food and jazz entertainment. What's not to like?
Really enjoyed The Back Room Music!!! Waiter Jeremiah was great! Nice evening - thanks!
The Filet Oscar and my husbands bone-in prime rib were both excellent! I highly recommend the Cajun shrimp appetizer.
Sunday brunch is very good. Drinks not included but still good value. Service is always attentive and professional.
I had heard about it, but nothing I heard prepared me for how wonderful it was! The live jazz was the perfect touch for date night.
We took out son out for his 26th birthday. There was live jazz in the back room and I would recommend you sit there. Great band, Great staff and a nice crowd from the old lounge scene. Real good.
Prime rib was on the menu and One Kick a$ wedge salad with caramelized onions, oh yeah.
Adequate whiskey selection and a pretty fair wine list if you are in to that sort of thing.
My husband and I joined another couple for an evening out on a Saturday night. We sat in the back room where the live jazz is played. The music was great but it was very hard to try and have a conversation because it was so loud. Next time we’ll just sit in regular dining area, I’m sure the music filters out there (as it is pretty loud).
Our food was great! The guys both got a version of steak and us gals chose a grilled salmon. The portions were very good sized and more than enough to be filling.
The only real drawback was our waiter was not so good. It took him about 15 minutes maybe more (not exaggerating here) to finally come get out order, and we then had to request bread just as he was getting to walk away again...when he cleared the table he was in too much of a rush and flung some of the used silverware at me, causing some greasy food to land on my pants.
Overall our experience was good and we would come back but likely not sit in back room. I enjoyed the live music but I also wanted to be able to enjoy talking with our friends as well. Hopefully the waiter issues were because they were having g an off night with not enough wait staff and that isn’t a normal situation.
Nice restaurant, a little pricey, but overall great local place. Food was good, not to die for, but worthwhile visiting on a special occasion.
