Gaslight Bar & Grill
It was fun sitting on the roof top, where we really enjoyed our meal and drinks. Beer, wine and mixed drinks served timely. I had the Lolita, it was very refreshing and tasty. The four of us had hamburgers, veggie burgers, fries, slaw and almond cake. Burgers were cooked perfect and tasted great and the veggie burger was one of the best in town. Fries were fresh and seasoned perfectly. Make sure you take your sunglasses as half the roof patio is very sunny.
Our service was slow. Food is overpriced. Two of us ordered Caesar salads. When they came we each asked for anchovies, which Caesar salads are commonly served with. They brought them. When the bill came we were surprised that we were each charged an additional $3.00 for the anchovies. No one mentioned this to us when we requested them. Ridiculous.
The food was very tasty. The service was outstanding & the staff is very friendly. When the restaurant is full it is very noisy. The roof top dining looks lovely.
It's really nice to eat outside up on the roof, especially when you have an umbrella or the sun isn't shining. Food is quite good, as are most of the servers.
Food was very good. Service a bit slow
Noise level,is. BIG ISSUE
Had a lovely double date with friends. Will return!
Our server (Brian) was great. Nice space and location. Good beer and wine selection
Love the butternut squash soup! The rooftop is a must visit. Great neighborhood spot
Excellent as always.
We ate on the rooftop which was delightful. My compliments to the entire staff. The service was efficient and waiters courteous, very pleasant and friendly as was the host who found us a table on the rooftop. Food was also very good. A most enjoyable dinner.
The food remains very good and the service has improved. Love that it is in the Clifton neighborhood and is casual. Could have some better value on their wines. Even major restaurants have lower priced wine options.
Erin our waitress was friendly and smiling. She was knowledgeable about the menu and was able to answer our questions about the menu. We spent +/- $150 (w tip) for 4 people.
Great food and craft beer as well as nice drink selection. Very impressed with staff who were extremely friendly . We will be back soon!
Great food! Great service! Love the rooftop!!!
Amazing meal followed by drinks on the deck. Super experience
Good service!! Good food!! We love going here.
Beautiful renovation! Service and food were both excellent. We had a variety- lamb chops, risotto, fish & chips, PO boys, & Greek spaghetti. Everyone enjoyed their meals.
I have tried 4-5 items on menu. Very good. Will be back again.
great for outdoor dining, inside can be a bit loud.
Loved the atmosphere!
the menu is better than the actual food/it was ok but not great
there's a deck upstairs/umbrellas only cover a few tables and the noise level up there was more than downstairs
downstairs is a little dark and the waitress seemed slightly offended when we asked her to turn the music down
not really my kind of place but probably works for some people
Enjoyed our dinner on a saturday evening and was surprised how few of tables were occupied. Delicious meals and house wine. May have been busier if the weather was nice, upstairs patio was cool. Hopefully will be back for decent weather!
The host (owner?) went above and beyond to get my friend and I seated on the popular rooftop terrace . Much appreciated! This was my second visit and the food and service are excellent.
GB service is excellent.
Very pricey for the portions ordered grilled pork recieved lamb chops the girl who brought food almost knocked our drinks over delivering the food she said something but had no ideal what the waiter eventually came to check on us after I figured I would eat what I had since we had tickets for a show $$$$$ very disappointed first time
The food is excellent. They may still be getting a handle on the table service. Drinks took a long while.
Very nice restaurant with a cozy and inviting atmosphere in pretty cool part of town. We particularly enjoyed dining on the roof top. Not too spacious, but nice just the same. Service was very attentive and friendly. Food was pretty good and plentiful. We had a very enjoyable time. Plan to return.
Our server check was polite, had good command of the menu, and was attentive to the table. The Duck Confit was delicious, my wife very much enjoyed her fish & chips and our friends were also pleased with their selections (Confit & Steak sliders). The brushetta and beet app were delicious, korean wings were ok, too much sauce! Tried the bread pudding and key lime mousse, there were ok, nothing to write home about.
We requested roof top dining in the opentable reservation, but this request was not confirmed nor was a space set aside for us when we checked in with the host :( Maybe they don't accept rooftop requests?
Our group was 4 adults adn we were given a table by the window. Our table was large enough but the tables along the window were a bit tight as I felt shoehorned into my seat and conscious to not scoot back a few inches which would had me bumping into the chair of the table behind me.
Overall, I'd recommend it and hope to return to try the rooftop.
Nice dinner before the show at Ludlow Garage. Super staff and delicious food!
This place had an amazing atmosphere that added to the Gaslight district. First time here, it did not disappoint, and we will be back! The vibe was fantastic. We’re looking forward to getting a chance to experience the rooftop dining next (it rained off and on while we were there). Delicious food!
I made a reservation for my partner’s birthday and asked to be seated on the roof, but when we got to the front desk they seated us inside so I went back up and waited a while and explained the situation and so they said we could just go upstairs if we wanted to sit up there. We did and someone at the bar on the roof said we could sit wherever we liked. It took quite a while to be served, but once we were it was great and the food and ambiance were very good.
It was just Okay - food was fair. A bit pricey for the food and quality.
Nice space, cool rooftop, but servers were oblivious to our needs. Other tables seated after us were served first, hard to get refills, pricey food for average quality.
Way too loud. Food was ok . Service was good and food delivered quickly.
very good service food quite good
would go back again
Grab a seat in front of the large open window on a spring day and people watch. Ask for the tasty turkey sandwich with avocado mayo and homemade pickles. The staff is spirited and friendly.
We were seated by the window along Clifton ave and seating was very tight. I'm pregnant and had a really hard time getting in and out.
This was my first time at Gaslight Bar & Grill. I like what they did with the former library. It was welcoming and nicely arranged. The tables are arranged so that you feel like you're not on top of each other. The noise level was also acceptable during the time we were there. The food was delicious. I had the scallops and they were perfect. The cocktail I ordered was different from what I usually drink, but was enjoyable. we had tickets to the Pops and explained our timeline to the waitress. She made sure she accommodated our needs. I would recommend this as a great restaurant in Clifton.
Service was slow. Food average. Price was average.
