   Vanessa was amazing! We had a concert to attend last night. She got us in and out. With providing great guest service and she was courteous too. The seafood paella was amazing and the sangria I could drink everyday. My cousin wanted to try the plantain nachos and I didn’t. I tried them and they were AMAZING!!! So definitely worth the trip!!!!!!

   The seafood pasta was terrific, very flavorful. We had their tall chief special dessert as the grand finale. This is a great specialty restaurant. We will be back.

   The food was phenomenal. The service was great. The only complaint I could have is that the space itself is so small! It's not overcrowded. I just wish they had a bigger space.

   The food is new to me but it was good. Only 2 people working Foh so they timed it okay large portions but French fried in heavy use. I would g back and I am the most judging person in food. Likely dinner is better than brunch.

   Every employee was masked and wearing gloves. The bar area is still surrounded by plexiglas. It’s long past time to drop all Covid-related things. The menu is smaller than it once was and the pricing is quite high. My wife’s arepa was quite greasy. We used to live this restaurant but I do not want to be reminded of the nonsense we endured in 2020 and 2021. Time to move on and return to normal.

    I took my friend for dinner to celebrate her birthday. She's never eaten Venezualan food. Vanessa greeted us at the door and we were treated like royalty the whole evening, not to mention our food was fantastic! She even lit a birthday candle for my friend on our dessert!     Amazing! A memorable meal and experience. Myself and two friends met up on a Saturday night to have dinner and catch up. It was my first time to Garrido’s and I picked it because they had a few vegan options for myself and it’s not always easy to come by creative vegan food. All of us are beyond happy we went to Garrido’s. Upon coming in I was welcomed by an intimate space and smiles so big and warm I could see them behind the masks that all the staff were wearing (I appreciate the level of safety the take for themselves and us dinners). Sat by the window and enjoyed the ambiance of this quaint, familial space. It was cozy and felt special to be there that night. You can tell there is love in this restaurant. I had the black bean arepa and will be going back for another soon it was so good. I kept thinking about it the day after - hence a memorable experience. My one friend enjoyed the salmon which was perfectly cooked and a healthy portion of both fish and the sides. The other friend had the cesar salad and raved about the freshness of the dressing and enjoyed the shrimp she added to it. Our server, who I believe was Matt or Mike, took great care of us, had a great knowledge of the menu and served genuine hospitality. Overall highly recommend! Grab a Caribbean Martini and enjoy one of the best dinning experiences I’ve had in metro detroit. Thank you to all who were working Saturday April 8th you provided us all with a wonderful experience 💖

    Garridos is a gem!! Wonderful food which is unique and hard to find among all other restaurants. Healthy! Service was first class! Value for the price. My guest was a first time diner here and he loved it. I have been here 4 times since shortly after opening and it just gets better and better!

    Garrido's is one of our favorite places! We live nearby and can walk to it. The food is amazing and completely unlike anything we can get in the area. It is important to know the restaurant is very small, and some of tables are extremely close together. Also, the food may take awhile to come out--but it is worth it! The owners and servers are extremely friendly and kind.

    Great all-around. Amazing food, can't be beat for amazing flavors and spices (my favorite are the Seafood specialties). Also, great Old Fashioned's, you gotta try one. Went with a friend last night, who had never been, and they were similarly impressed.

    Garrido's is wonderful restaurant with rich South American flavors and tastes . They have been very creative in meeting customer needs and accommodations in a very dynamic climate.     We had Garrido’s for Valentine’s Day and really enjoyed our meals, drinks, and environment. The specials for valentines were DELICIOUS and really different than you would find at a typical restaurant.

    Everything was very good! My husband had the Steak and Mushroom Mac and Cheese, and I had the Moqueca Shrimp. We both agreed that we would be coming back. Their service is excellent as well, very friendly and personable staff.

    We were sat immediately upon entering the restaurant. The waiting staff were friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and accommodating. The appetizers and entrees were delicious, hot, so full of flavor. The amount of food for the price was exceptional. The sangria and sparkling wine were fantastic.     Wonderful experience with excellent and authentic Venezuelan dishes. (The only thing missing from the menu were tequeños!) Very kind and generous staff, and I could actually have an intellectual conversation because it wasn’t too loud.

    Overall a wonderful place. Enjoyed the appetizer and mango margarita. My group had a pleasant experience. Unfortunately my salmon was off - rancid taste in my mouth. Most importantly they took away the plate immediately once I drew attention to it and I was able to order something else. Nice atmosphere, nice decor. Charming and warm.
