The restaurant ran out of food on a Sunday night. I had a 5:00pm reservation and they open at 4 PM. Three major dishes scratched off the menu. I drove 1.5 hours to get there and was very disapointed. The restaurant is not very busy and it is not cheap $$$. The service is way down for the prices on the menu. It will be hard to want to drive back again and give it another try. Sorry :(

Made a quick reservation on Sunday night. Was seated promptly and our waitress was very attentive to our needs. The food was excellent. The calamaris were delicious, and the lobster Mac and Cheese were the best I've had. Drinks were tasteful. All the food we had were very flavorful.

We love Garlic! Lauren and Karl were fantastic! We started with the eggplant tower and mussels fra diavolo! Delicious. I had a filet mignon special and my wife had a perfectly cooked salmon dish. Overall Garlic is a GREAT restaurant but WAY overpriced.

I found Garlíc to be an overall great way to celebrate my anniversary. The service was outstanding and the vibes of the restaurant was great. The food was pretty good too. Some mishaps happened with the food and my menu but otherwise I would definitely recommend.

We dined here on a Thursday evening. It was very quiet which we enjoyed! We had a great server who made wonderful suggestions on menu items. The portions were large and the value was good. We really enjoyed our dinner and will be back for more!

First of all there was 3of us and they gave us 2 dinner rolls also the music was too loud we couldn't even talk also for the price of the dinners they should at least include a salad and the so called waitress couldn't even keep the water glass full. This place is too expensive for the area and too over rated

Our first time here.. celebrating my birthday. Only problem we encountered was everyone’s dinners were served but one …. None of us wanted to start without her salmon arriving. The manager told us it would be 3 minutes because there was a delay (someone dropped it on the floor and they had to remake it). In reality it took 15-20 minutes. Some of us started eating but some continued to wait and their food got cold. They apologized- which was great but they should’ve taken it off of the tab. It wasn’t until I spoke to the manager that they did just that. Other than that - the restaurant is beautiful, the food and drinks were great, and the service was excellent.

I would rate 10/10. Always saw the name driving by and decided I didn’t want to venture into nyc for my husbands birthday. I’m so glad I made reservations for Garlic. It was so good. The food was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. We had several sides. The shrimp and salmon. We will definitely be back for date nights. We aren’t drinkers so didn’t want to try the drinks but one day we will. Would recommend for sure.

Saturday (and Monday) the bartenders mix mystery cocktails, you pick Tequila or Bourbon and they get creative... We really enjoyed what they brought us. My wife had the ceasar salad, and noticed it was heavily seasoned with garlic... got a good laugh when we remembered where we were.... her Ceasar and wedge were both very good. We had the lobster ravioli, which was also very good. The dessert was a toffee cake, and it was pretty amazing. The staff was very friendly ND the environment was fun, we were there Halloween weekend and all the staff and the music were Roaring 20's themed. Definitely plan on coming back next time we are in the area!

Ordered our food at 6 PM and did not receive our food until 8 PM! The waiter was nice and apologetic but for food that expensive I should not have to wait two hours to get a meal… my party and I were considering walking out just prior to the food finally arriving

Garlic food was average at best. The 3 positives; Rebecca the server was sweet and attentive. The Bourbon Bear Martini was fantastic and the Butterscotch cake outstanding. I had a bad experience with the manager. We ordered a fried calamari appetizer, and it came covered in Parmesan cheese, which was not stated on the menu. When I asked the waitress to please bring a different one. She came back and said that the manager told her to tell us “that’s how they serve it everywhere if they don’t like it too bad. We are not firing a new one not removing it from the bill either“. We asked to speak to the manager. She came by very defensive and all she was talking about was comping the dish as opposed to addressing the actual problem. I had a lobster tail, which was clearly a frozen lobster tail, I also had an “18 oz” porterhouse steak that I paid over $50 for that was severely underseasoned and easily 7 oz at best. Needless to say we will not be returning.

We had an absolutely fabulous meal and experience at Garlic on a Sat night. The grilled scallops over their fiesta corn ranks as one of the best dishes I've ever had. Also enjoyed their seasonal special--cheese ravioli in cream sauce with pumpkin seeds. The wait person was very friendly and attentive. We were seated in a cozy back booth and it wasn't noisy! Maybe we were just lucky with this particular spot, but it to be able to hear in a restaurant these days feels like a minor miracle. We were grateful our local friend sent us here and we'll definitely be back the next time we're in Stroudsburg.

Drinks were a HIT! I had 2 of the Princess cut drinks. The salmon dish was a flop minus the asparagus- the asparagus was the star of that plate. Bacon wrapped scallops great but wrong type of plate - liquid from the salsa was everywhere. That app was stunning though. Crab cake was good but the cake was like a flap jack -flat. It came with sauce, salsa, arugula (i believe) and pickled cabbage-that was great on its own. My fiancées 8oz filet was cooked per request but was underseasoned. We requested salt. The potatoes that came with was the star of that entree. We also ordered carrots -good; mushrooms were okay; and the garlic steak sauce - zero stars on that. The sauce was thick and tasted JUST LIKE A1 steak sauce. Nothing special for an added fee.

The drink was strong. I got a Cosmo, and it was heavy on the vodka. The food was excellent. The wait for the food that night was long, but we were celebrating our anniversary, so we were happy to sit and chat. We walked from our hotel and enjoyed the town's excitement due to it being a college town.

We want to start to say the Staff at Garlic is Incredible. We are grateful for their tentativeness to us and always a smile on their faces. My wife and I have been dining at your restaurant since it had opened. Unfortunately I have to say the new menu is adequate at best food was good but the old menu had more selections. We are looking forward to the new menu and hope that the revision will bring back some of the old favorites. Thank you to everyone at Garlic We think you all are special.

Food was great! We had slow service, but our server was also the bartender making drinks between running to the dining area. The bar as very slow, but the bartender had to make drinks for the dining room customers. Maybe a change to that and this place is 5 stars across the board. Food was perfect and very reasonably priced. Coming from NJ and having had many Filets, Garlics steak was one of the best! We will for sure come back and hopefully they do not have the bar tender running crazy between the bar and dining area. No fault of our server, she has to make money and we totally understand.

We loved this restaurant! The food is exceptional. I had one of the best pieces of salmon I have ever eaten. The pumpkin spice creme brûlée was outstanding. The wait staff is a little too much… We must have been asked 10 times if we had everything we needed. It felt a bit intrusive. We were well taken care of, but were looking for a quiet evening out. Our server also wasn’t pleased that we didn’t order alcohol. Not everyone enjoys alcohol. If we are in this area again we will be back.

Nick L. was an amazing server. He was knowledgeable, personable and accommodating. He answered all our questions about the menu easily, was attentive but not hovering and made sure the few special requests we had for our dishes were handled. The food was amazing too! Great variety and quality of drinks/wine. And the atmosphere very pleasing - clean, spare and nicely lit dining space.

Beautiful evening! Sitting in the booth was cozy, the outdoor seating with fire pit looked so nice! My perfect pear martini was delicious,! We were in burrata heaven, the shrimp ceviche with a perfect zesty spice combination, the salmon and tuna were perfection and of course, the fried rice!!!!! We will return.

Me and my wide were visiting the area for vacation, and the restaurant was recommended by a few locals stating it was the best restaurant in the area. Being a chef myself, I love trying new restaurants. Everything from entering the restaurant to the presentation of the food was great. The only complaint with the service would be that our server only took the order, and a bus boy was the one who was filling our drinks and bringing the food out. We had their house salmon with asparagus and potatoes aswell as the lobster Mac and cheese. The salmon was cooked well, but the potatoes it rested didn't seem like they were cleaned properly or and were also way overcooked and left an unpleasant taste. (Would recommended using baby red and purple potatoes instead). The mac and cheese was good, but the lobster that was placed on top was way overcooked and was very tough. Overall, the experience felt way overpriced for the quality of service and food that was received.

Elegant place with great service but the portions are small and very pricey. My husband enjoyed his ribeye. Tender and flavorful but he was served three slivers of carrots as a side. Like…what? The max and cheese was a large portion though and was delicious! My steak was three small pieces on a piece of soggy garlic bread with blue cheese sauce slathered on it. Very pungent. Mashed potatoes were plain.
