We were greeted with a smile when we arrived. The staff was attentive and the food was great.

Was a great restaurant in the day. Unfortunately like a lot of different establishments the “authentic Italian” qualities gone. Sad.

Gargiulo's is always guaranteed to be a delicious meal. No matter what day of the week/month/year you visit the food is always fresh and delicious. And always make sure to leave a room for dessert - the homemade cannoli's are one of the best in Brooklyn! Looking forward to our next visit!

To my disappointment the service was not what I expected.
I have been to this restaurant for a few events and I expected so much more.
The food was pretty average and they did not have a drink menu.
I would have expected signature drinks since it was Valentines Day.

Atmosphere was very nice. Going in, I expected it to be very quiet and romantic, however while the band was on stage, it was way more energetic than I anticipated. Not really a negative for me, just unexpected. There were points when it was so loud that you would have to almost shout to talk to the person less than two feet away from you. The staff was very friendly, however they had such firm eye contact that my waiter didn't even notice he was spilling water all over my leg while speaking to me about refills. Along with that, the loud atmosphere made it so he couldn't even hear me telling him about the water continuously spilling on my lap at first. Nothing to get angry about, got a laugh out of me actually. The steak was cooked perfectly, just very very fatty. If you're looking for a nice, quiet, dimly lit dinner, this is definitely not the place to go. All those aspects aside, I would say it was still a pretty nice time, we enjoyed our valentine's day here overall.

Fried Calamari where a little chewy, and the peach sorbet for desert tasted a little weird like expired. Everything else was good.

Gargiulo's has the best Italian food in Brooklyn. I come from way out in Suffolk County several times a year because it is worth it. The decorations for Christmas were absolutely beautiful. The food was amazing, as it always is. Coming here is like coming home. Keep up the great work!

Gargiulo's staff quickly served my wife and I. We never had to ask for anything and the food was great!

Over the years our family has gone to Gargulios and always have had great dinners. We had not been there in quite a few years and decided to go back for my birthday. It did not disappoint.The food was excellent and the service impeccable! We had to eat in the banquet hall due to Covid so we missed being in the old dining area.

Because of Covid, they are using one of their large party rooms instead of their beautiful dining room. Our server pretty much deserted us after he brought our main courses. We used the time well, however, catching up with our father-in-law and brother-in-law.

Lamb Chop Shrimp fish of the day oysters Rockefeller desserts - ALL is excellent. Have been there now 4-5 times and will keep going back!!

So if you were growing up in Brooklyn during the 60’s & 70’s and any special event took place chances were it was being held in one of the several banquet rooms

Going back to Victor Russo who sat outside the kitchen so he could keep an eye on the dining room and the other eye on the kitchen
My family took me there as a kid and now 60+ years later I’m still going there
There is no longer the octopus on the ceiling but the grill one is fantastic
It is a Brooklyn institution and my future generations will go as we did and Congo do so because it is just that good

During this time (COVID), We went and celebrated a 50th bday. The restaurant had everyone so far from on another. I felt very comfortable. We walked in they took our temperature and made it a safe environment. Besides the food was DELICIOUS!!! Thank you Gargiulos!

We always have a wonderful experience at Garguilo’s! With new rules in place, we were seated immediately in a grand ballroom with plenty of space between tables. The amazing hospital owners, Anthony and Louis always come to say hello and waiters Jevin and Jerry always are charming with exceptional service!
The food was so fresh, well prepared and plentiful! A must go to!!!

We ate outside and it was a beautiful early evening. The food was fresh and tasty the waitress was very attentive. I had a great time with my sweet husband.

My husband and I went on Saturday for our 44th Anniversary....The food was great, and the waiter was outstanding...we enjoyed ourselves and also enjoyed the music coming through the speakers...We will go again...(it was just the two of us)

we were celebrating my husbands birthday - knew we would be eating outdoors and the food, service and ambience were more than expected. There was an outdoor wedding taking place so the sound was a little loud, but given all we have gone through, it was a much welcomed sound!

I ordered the jumbo stuffed shrimp it was very overcooked and the crabmeat was very dry and had an unpleasant taste. The waiter never came back to see if our meal was good. Service felt rushed and impersonal.

Always a great meal and place to visit. We’ve been coming here for a good 25 years and Anthony and his family are always hospitable. We travel from northwest Jersey to enjoy this special place.

Asked if they can make calamari fra diavolo it was too much trouble to do that a very simple dish the wine list is extremely high priced for the wine available

It was a great experience and they sang to my boyfriend for his birthday. The food was great as well.

I was thrilled to find out that Gargiulo’s had reopened after being closed for months during the pandemic. My husband and I treated ourselves to a date night there this past week.

The outdoor seating is spacious, comfortable and off the street.

The food is as wonderful as ever. We had eggplant rollatine as an appetizer and I had tender, perfectly prepared veal parmigiana as my main course.

Not only was the food outstanding, but there was enough to bring home for dinner the next night!

Best of all, the service.

At Gargiulo’s you are treated like family, whether it’s your first time there or (in our case) you have been there many times.

Also, valet parking is available right across the street.

The prices are extremely reasonable too.
