Garduño’s Restaurants was founded in 1981 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, by Dave Garduño and his family. In the summer of 2011, a group of local investors created Southwest Brands which stepped in and saved this well known New Mexico Brand, immediately setting its goals to re-establishing and expanding the once proud Garduño’s brand of the past. There are two corporately owned themed restaurants that exist today, the Garduño’s Chile Packing Company located at the Winrock shopping center in the Northeast part of Albuquerque, and the Garduño’s Margarita Factory and Blue Agave Bar located on the Westside of Albuquerque at the Cottonwood Shopping Center. Each concept remains fresh and appealing through continual design, decor, and menu updates. At the same time, new concepts are evolving and expansion is moving forward through a number of licensing agreements where the concept and great food can be shared with the rest of the country.

Server was nice and courteous. He brought out our food in no time, brought us extra napkins and refilled our drinks without us having to ask! Thank you!

So, I received a No Show message from Open Table. This reservation was not a good one and I've made enough of them. Mother's Day brunch that started off wrong due to my chronic illness and I was attempting to notify the hostess that I was going to be about 10 mins late. I was informed by hostess that they should not have been accepting reservations and that I would have to wait just like everyone else. The wait was 45 mins. I informed her that I had the reservation since that previous Tuesday and they could have phoned me with enough notice. Showed up and asked about reservation and then immediately asked for a manager. Then I overheard that there was outside open seating and went for that. On my way, a manager was standing there so I introduced myself and the situation. Manager immedately apologized and said he would take care of things. Thank you for still honoring my military discount.

My server, Keano, was absolutely the best. Made sure he was tipped right! Food was good. Egg station cook who has been there 4 or 5 years was so delightful.

My husband and I were traveling through Albuquerque and this was recommended by our hotel. I guess I’d just have to say that the food at best was “meh”. It’s just like any chain Mexican restaurant.

The food was horrible, the service was abominable. When the food arrived they placed food in front of a 14 month old, luckily it was cold, otherwise my son would have burned his hands.

The hostess was very rude. I felt like we were Putting her out. We arrived 15 mins early for our reservations and she told us she’d seat us at 6:15 for time I had reserved and then proceeded to seat customers that had come in after us. When we were seated our friends were already waiting for us for about 15 minutes! The hostess did even know that half of our party was already there! Then our waiter spilled a
Margarita on our shoes. My husband can not longer wear his shoes nor can I. When we told the waiter that we had ticket to pope joy he was very rude and dismissive. That will be the last time we spend money here!

Used the app to get a 6:45 reservation and was not seated till almost 7. Ordered sizzling fajitas and they came out not sizzling with water on the bottom of the skillet. Everything was over priced

Service was ok, our margaritas tasted watered down and food was just ok today. Have been here plenty of times in the past and was much better. Just seemed to be off their game tonight.

Too many tables seated at once time for good service. Received lots of excuses why we did not get decent service - new bartender, too few servers, slow kitchen. I think I was paying the same as others that got good or great service. No management involvement even after complaints.

Our first time here. Nice ambiance, attentive service, good food and margaritas. Very good salsa made with fresh ingredients. A fun place to go to with friends.

I have to admit I only tried it because Breaking Bad was filmed there. But honestly, the shrimp tacos and the tableside guac are to die for! So yummy! Wish I lived in NM, because I'd be a regular if I did. I'll definitely come back when I'm in the area!

Service was terrible. Restaurant was not busy, actually almost empty, but server had too many tables. We had to ask manager to get someone to help. Had a 7:30 reservation and didn't get our food until 9:00. Food was just ok, not the Gardunos I remember, menu is much more limited and pricey for New Mexican food. Page of margaritas with no prices, prepare for a surprise on your check.

I primarily visit Garduno's for the Sunday Brunch Buffet - it's great! For one price one gets access to a ton of great food options...for being a buffet, the quality is very good. Primarily New Mexican food (like Carne Adovada) with some traditional American favorites (like French Toast), this is a great way to have a hearty Sunday meal.

I found that the hostesses do not pay attention to the requests that we put in for a special occasion on the Open table reservation. I brought this to their attention at the end of the meal, and they did nothing. Disappointed to say the least.
The food, sooooo great.... even the service was sooooo great. But it would have been an even better evening had they just paid attention to the special requests.

We were on vacation and are "Breaking Bad" fans and wanted to eat where the cast ate on the show. Gardunos did not disappoint. The food was excellent as was the ambience. The staff went above and beyond and even talked to us about the show. We were able to dine at the same table as the cast. It was a big thrill for us. Thank You.

I took my sister and step-mother for a late lunch on Mother's Day. Upon arrival, I was told they were not honoring reservations made on-line (which I had made through OpenTable). I told the hostess there was nothing on their web site regarding this and we were finally seated. We ordered margaritas and the second ones tasted nothing like the first ones we were served. Our food arrived after one hour, was not hot, and we never received any sopaipillas. This was a HUGE disappointment and we will never return. I realize Mother's Day is a very busy day for the restaurant industry, but they should be better prepared by now!

It happened to be cinco de mayo so it was super crowded and the service was not great as a result. Forgot our appetizer and they didn’t have any menus. I felt bad for the servers because they were so busy

We asked for a more comfortable table and were denied, then watched as people without a reservation were given the table we requested. Then staff dumped a large drink on the table, splashing everyone and drenching one of us. We had to move to a new table and then later had an issue with the bill. Brent was a good waiter, though and tried to make the best of an unfortunate situation.

I used to live in Albuquerque so was excited to take my husband and niece there for good Mexican food. Frankly, it was just ok. The place was crowded so evidently my opinion is not shared with a lot of people, but between the mediocre food and the less than attentive service, I think we will scope out other Mexican food restaurants on the next visit.

Excellent food and very ample servings. A little on the noisy side but the service was great and there was no waiting with the reservation. Would definitely return when in the area.

I went for Valentine's Day with my wife and 2 sons. We were very happy that we went. When we went there several years ago, the food was inconsistent in terms of quality and service. We did not go for a few years. We decided to try them out again since things have calmed down with the larger previous business issues. We are happy that things have changed for the better. The food is now consistently good, service has improved, and it seems like the community has re-embraced them as well as it was full that night. I'm glad we had reservations. The 2 suggestions I have are that the stage should be used or moved to allow for more tables. I vote for using the stage with local New Mexican and Mexican singers (NM traditional music, Mexican Mariachi or Trios). I would also make sure that you re-introduce the restaurant to the region. I think more exposure to remind folks you and there and your appreciation for them will do you wonders.

Food was great. Biggest disappointment was the restaurant said they did not have the confirmed Open Table reservation. We were seated eventually, but were concerned until then.

The restaurant did no have any record of my open table reservation and gave me a hard time despite there being plenty of available seating. The wait service was very good.
