Nestled in a historic Victorian building in the heart of vibrant downtown Los Gatos, we offer brunch, dinner, and a lively happy hour, featuring a distinctive French-Asian fusion menu with a good local twist. Open seven days a week, Gardenia also serves as a welcoming coffee house, with beans sourced from around the world. In addition, we’re a popular venue for private events, known for our inviting atmosphere and exceptional service.
Gardenia offers a unique seating experience, with traditional restaurant tables available both indoors and outdoors. For a more relaxed setting, we also provide comfortable couches in both areas—perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee or a glass of wine.

We were overcharged and felt that the restaurant was not regretful for their mistake. Food was okay although we were told that two of their main course entrees were not available at peak dinner time. Despite making an outdoor reservation we were initially asked to sit inside but upon request we were given a very small table that was actually not even an assigned table in their system.

We had really high hopes for a lovely Fathers Day meal with the new Gardenia revamp especially given its gorgeous setting. Overall it was pleasant enough for a regular meal, but I wouldn’t come here again for a special occasion. Our server was very friendly but not particularly attentive. It took over an hour for our entrees to arrive which turned us off from ordering dessert since we didn’t know how long that would take to arrive. The server was apologetic about the wait time and said it’s because they’re so busy on Fathers Day but the restaurant was only hall full at most. We ordered a medium rare steak and it arrived well done. As the evening got cooler, we asked for a heat lamp to be brought to the table and it took 10 minutes to set it up despite there being several heat lamps within 15 feet of us. The bill was pricey which normally we wouldn’t mind for a nice meal but the experience just felt subpar for a special occasion. One of the highlights of the night was the musician who played great tunes and also took request. We loved that. I would come back again but only for a happy hour or more casual meal.

We went for Father’s Day lunch. We waited 20 minutes for a server to come to the table (and we had Tonini the bat and ask for someone to come over). Then after another 20 minutes waiting for the drinks we ordered, went to the bar and saw them sitting there. Asked if I could grab them myself. That’s 40 minutes after being seated, finally getting our drinks - and only because we hunted them down. Food came out about 10 minutes later. The service was so bad that we will never go back. VERY disappointed.

Burrata and heirloom salad was amazing! The deviled eggs were a bit salty, but delicious non the less. It was also very kid friendly! We requested outdoor dining and were a bit disappointed with the table. It was on a slant and was not a sold top, which was difficult with kids.

Wonderful Father’s Day brunch spot! Excellent food, drinks, and service. We sat inside which was lovely but I’d love to come back, maybe for dinner, and sit outside!

Beautiful setting with shady tables in the large front yard. Interesting menu with small tapas style plates as well as a mix of pacific cuisine. We especially enjoyed the colorful drinks. We liked the almond flour pancakes with homemade jam, eggs benedict with Kalua pork as well as yummy dip sandwiches. We will definitely come back!
