   It is hard to beat such a scenic view of Oglebay park with a well-crafted cocktail in hand. Our party ordered multiple different cocktails and were pleased with the uniqueness and complexity of each (I personally enjoyed the mountaineer and mango ginger mojito). The small plates are truly smaller portions than most American servings which suited my family. The scallops and crab cake were fresh with interesting sauces and the burger was solid. Not all restaurants that have a great view also have good food, but we were very happy with our visit to the bistro. We brought two under fives and the staff accommodated them in terms of food and stopping to make conversation.

   Oglebay Garden Bistro is wonderful! Oglebay is a must see destination. Great for couples & families.

   Garden Bistro is a hidden gem at Oglebay Park. Tucked in the back of a building near the amphitheater, it has lovely views of the gardens at the park. Access is via either many stairs or a steep slope or a long walk. But the restaurant can send a golf cart to the parking lot - just call ahead and let them know. Food was very good, but serving portions were quite small. And, for the prices were quite high for the portion size (for instance, I added a crab cake to my salad for $6. The crab cake was about 3 inches across.). If you’re a bigger eater, I recommend the everything bagel sandwich or the burger. They seemed more substantial. Highly recommend that you sit outside and enjoy the view.

   Delicious sangria and food! The Everything Bagel sandwich is delicious. Salmon sandwich and scallops were very good. Chocolate gelato drew raves!
