The view and ambiance at Garden Bistro are worth the trip! It's such a pleasant place to have lunch or dinner or just a really delicious and refreshing peach sangria. Server Debbie is also the best there is! The flatbread special on the day of my visit was delicious: with peaches, plums, mozzarella and a balsamic drizzle.

Really enjoyed eating at the Garden Bistro. The view for sunset is fantastic. The cocktails are inspired - really liked The Mountaineer with the blueberry shrub. I got the crab cakes and they were very flavorful and filling. The service was great. We didn’t feel rushed yet everything was prompt. Ended up coming back a few days later for girls night!

The food was absolutely delicious. We had the spinach artichoke flatbread, scallops and shrimp and grits. Each of the items were prepare expertly. Our server was knowledgeable and very friendly. We finished the meal with house made strawberry gelato. We also had the sangria specials which were amazing! I highly recommend stopping by this adorable bistro for a meal!

We loved everything about our time at the restaurant! We were celebrating our 20th anniversary and the staff made sure that we had the requested spot to overlook the beautiful gardens. The food was wonderful and everybody got what they wanted! Everybody is super nice here. Love that it is our anniversary spot each year!

New menu is varied and has something for everyone. Chef’s flatbread changes and is wonderful way to start. Service is always great, and The Bistro has some of the most beautiful views of atop their location of the valley. Quiet and relaxing. Great place enjoy family and friends in an outdoor environment!

This is the perfect setting for a wonderful dining experience. The service was excellent once they figured out who our server was (took 20 minutes for a server to show up). The food was very good. We had two filets and two crab cake dinners. The food was perfectly cooked. Overall just a very nice evening. Can’t wait to come back.

This is a fabulous gem of a bistro in a stunning location in Oglebay Park in Wheeling, West Virginia. I've traveled across Europe and Garden Bistro compares to the loviest settings of beauty in the most gorgeous settings there. Food was elegant and satisfying too.

It is hard to beat such a scenic view of Oglebay park with a well-crafted cocktail in hand. Our party ordered multiple different cocktails and were pleased with the uniqueness and complexity of each (I personally enjoyed the mountaineer and mango ginger mojito). The small plates are truly smaller portions than most American servings which suited my family. The scallops and crab cake were fresh with interesting sauces and the burger was solid. Not all restaurants that have a great view also have good food, but we were very happy with our visit to the bistro. We brought two under fives and the staff accommodated them in terms of food and stopping to make conversation.

Garden Bistro is a hidden gem at Oglebay Park. Tucked in the back of a building near the amphitheater, it has lovely views of the gardens at the park. Access is via either many stairs or a steep slope or a long walk. But the restaurant can send a golf cart to the parking lot - just call ahead and let them know. Food was very good, but serving portions were quite small. And, for the prices were quite high for the portion size (for instance, I added a crab cake to my salad for $6. The crab cake was about 3 inches across.). If you’re a bigger eater, I recommend the everything bagel sandwich or the burger. They seemed more substantial. Highly recommend that you sit outside and enjoy the view.
