Just fine. The server was excellent. Food was good.
The deck facing the water was absolutely gorgeous as was the inside of the restaurant. Great menu options and presentation although the food itself was average and my Bloody Mary was watery and kind of blah. Service was a fine. We waited a while to have our order taken and to be given our check even thought it wasn’t too crowded where we were sat. Definitely an aesthetic place to have brunch but not much else.
Great food and can always go here as the food is great (cauliflower, tuna tacos, beet salad, Korean tacos, etc). Drinks are great too. Noise level is high as there is very loud music playing making it somewhat difficult to have a conversation.
The music was so loud that it was impossible to dine there. The hostess couldn’t sit us outside so we just left
Service was awful. Sat down and 30 min later we saw our server
I feel bad. I really wanted to like this restaurant. I have been trying to get here all summer and finally made it. The place is lovely - has a cool vibe- nice and spacious - the outdoor space is fantastic. The food is very average. And, for that, very expensive. Too bad - I don’t think I will return.
The food was divine, the outdoor patio seating was lovely, the servers were friendly and helpful! Would go again.
Food was fabulous. Service was mediocre.
We had a great meal and experience. The cocktails were tasty, the bang bang shrimp were awesome and we enjoyed the kale salad with lobster and chickpea burger. Finished off with yummy key lime pie served in a jar. Our waiter was attentive and helpful and we loved the quiet atmosphere dining outside on their patio with our dog. Highly recommend the Garden at Stoneacre.
Great location with outdoor seating but music was too loud and our server is in wrong profession. Will try to go again
Great brunch menu and vibe. Cocktails were awesome and the biscuit was the best I have ever had. Will definitely go back the next time I am in Newport.
They seemed overwhelmed and disorganized, which would be fine but the food wasn’t that good either. We got the vegetable bao buns and the tempura cauliflower and they were just ehh. Also ordered a Jack and Diet Coke and think maybe it was fireball? It was fair but def not great.
Halibut (fish of the day) was mediocre at best. Everything else ( tacos, cocktails, coffee and cake) was great and good value for money. Ryan was our server and did his best check on us on a reletively busy night!
A little expensive for the amount of food provided as an appetizer but the food was delicious
The food is delicious and the garden is a beautiful, relaxing space!
As a party of 4 with one of us having worked in the industry professionally, everyone thought the food was marginal at best except for the burgers. The entire menu was overpriced. How can Pad Thai be $25 with zero protein. We love to support local, but not Stoneacre Garden!
Great food, great atmosphere, great service and puppies are allowed at oudoor seating area which is big and covered.
Different! Too expensive and atmosphere is so so.
Emma was knowledgeable , attentive and most helpful. Sadly, despite her several efforts, the person in charge of “ music” (90db) had more authority and control over volume. Perhaps each seating area should have a separately controlled VOLUME
Brunch!!! Delicious breakfast sandwiches.
We checked in at the host stand and we’re seated at the great spa in middle of the restaurant. Our server was Ryan. Very professional, knowledgeable about the menu, drinks and very kind. We love coming back. Food is absolutely amazing, delicious and definitely can tell that one of top 5 restaurants in Newport.
Thanks everyone for your hard work and taking care of us. Truly appreciate!
We’ll see you soon again. 👌🏼
Always a treat
Went for Brunch, the food was not the best and very expensive for nothing.
The food and service were not worth the price, especially compared to the brassiere.
Some meals very good others just average. Waitress needs training. Music much too loud.
We made a reservation and forgot something at home. They were great and seated us when we returned. The food and service was very good. We had a wonderful experience. The room we were is was loud but it was fine.
Excellent meal and service
Have been here 5-6 times this summer. Food is always good and service too. Problem is we were seated outside right next to music speaker. We were a party of six and couldn’t hear each other at all. Asked for music to be turned down a few times. Didn’t happen or help. The music does not add to the experience here. Turn it down. Do your patrons a favor. I will come back but refuse to sit in that area again.
Just ok. Outdoor is ok. Tables well spaced. Lots of kids. Even a dog! Servers attentive. Food is ok nothing great. Fish tacos good. Cauliflower appetizer a bit gooey; too much sauce. Pad Thai a big lump. The lentil/ veg burger was good.
Bang bang shrimp is a don't-miss. Drinks all were good. As others noted, the sirloin is very salty. The market fish itself was tasty and fresh, but the vegetables and sauce were strange-tasting, and two of the three of us who ordered the dish ate only the fish part. Service was cheerful and prompt.
Everything costs $3-8 more than it should, and while it was good, it wasn't good enough to justify such uncharge. Rent must be high for that location.
Delicious! The service and the food were both excellent.
Long wait time for food. Awful food had to send a dish back and so overpriced. Disappointed. Wanted to love it but a total fail and rip off
Great outdoor option. Service and food were excellent. Great drink selection and kid/pet friendly too!
Limited number of entrees.
Kitchen was very slow, but server did the right thing and comped our drinks
Was seated at the bar after I asked for a table. Server was very friendly but my meal was rushed. Food was good overall but menu is a little limited.
Server was outstanding!
Food and service were great!
5 of us for dinner. We had apps: general tsao's cauliflower (crispy, with really good flavor), bang bang crispy lobster (soooo good), and the PM bento box (which was fun to have samplers of apps - good selection, tasty).
Mains: two fried chickens (so crispy and the chicken was moist and flavorful). Two of us had the daily special market fish (tuna, well seasoned and good texture). One of us had the pad thai which had TOO much lime. We all sampled and agreed it was too acidic.
Wish the mains came with choices of sides instead of having to choose and add on - mains were on the small side and there were only 3 side dishes so it would be nice to just have a choice on that.
Wait staff 100% great. Bar was so - so - missing lemon in 2 different drinks and table water was warm.
Overall, a very good meal and worth a visit. Will try again and avoid the pad thai.
Service was super friendly, the place was really pretty, you just have to watch what you order. we ordered 3 sirloins and to say it was salty would be a drastic understatement. My 2 girls kept saying their mouths were burning, then I tried it and it was pretty rough. I love salt, but I guess when you cook w soy sauce you shouldn’t add more salt, I’m not sure what happened.
I had the swordfish with summer vegetables and it was fantastic !!!
