Garde East at Vineyard Haven Marina is an award-winning beachfront restaurant oasis on Martha’s Vineyard, located in quaint Vineyard Haven, just steps from the town’s ferry terminal.

The restaurant features the Island’s bounty from both sea and land, inspired by refined, classic techniques from French cuisine. The setting at Garde East is truly unique offering food and beverage service in a nautical dining room, outdoor decks and courtyard, or on the property’s private beach overlooking boats in Vineyard Haven Marina.

Garde East is open for dinner service Memorial Day Weekend (5/25-5/27).
Dinner service Tuesdays-Sundays will begin on 5/27.
Lunch and Docktail service Fridays-Sundays will begin on 6/06.
Garde East will be open 7 days a week for the season beginning on 6/16.

    Our meal at Garde East was excellent as was the service. The view is beautiful. Unfortunately it was a cool and windy night so we asked to move inside. This ask was quickly accommodated. I had the prawns as an appetizer which was tasty and the lobster burrata was which was delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant!

    We had a fantastic experience from start to finish! The staff went above and beyond to ensure our evening was enjoyable and seamless. The atmosphere was perfect, with beautiful views and a variety of comfortable seating options that made the night feel extra special. Highly recommend!

    Garde never fails to impress us. The view can’t be beat, the food is always fresh and amazing and the service always excellent. We have been coming back year after year and will continue to do so. Love this place!

    We had a lovely meal with spectacular views and a helpful and dedicated staff. All the courses were scrumptious and we even were able to see the sunset. I highly recommend this restaurant.

    Always have the best experience at Garde East! The view of the harbor combined with the 5-star food makes this one of the best restaurants in MVY! Anjeza and Dhimitri in particular were incredible hosts—they took such great care of us!! 10/10 recommend!!

    Garde East has the best views on the island and the service the night we were there was superb. However, we all happen to order the Lobster Cavatelli and it was the worst pasta dish I’ve ever had in a restaurant. The so called “sauce” was vinegary; the pancetta was undercooked; and there were big chucks of onion that appeared to have been thrown in at the last minute. I feel badly leaving this review because I like Garde East and want it to continue to do well, but the chef really needs to up his/her game. In the long run service and and the venue can only get you so far. The food has to taste good.
