It’s a great place small place
With amazing food and taste
Exceptional Lebanese food! Very hard to find authentic middle eastern food that is of this quality. I highly recommend their pastries plate and their mixed grill plate. You won’t be disappointed.
The restaurant is excellent and the food is very very very tasty and excellent. Love the place would definitely go again.
Made a reservation for dinner on September 5th because of the great online reviews. BIG MISTAKE!
Service was prompt and friendly and the waitress was cheerful and kind. We sat at a table with full view of the open kitchen where the chef was preparing food and eating at the same time at the grill throughout the evening. Gross! How is that covid safe?!
We ordered the cold mezzes, the pastry plate, chicken shish taouk and rice. Ordered a beer and stopped the waitress from pouring it into a warm glass. Drank it from the cold bottle instead.
The pita bread arrived in a plastic bag in a bread basket. It was cold, dry and stale! Just unreal. The labne and hummus were ok, the babaganoush was dense and very thick, not the ideal texture for dipping. The spreads were such a small portion, for 19$, and had the constancy that lead us to believe that they had been stored in the fridge already in the serving bowls ready to be distributed on ordering. The savoury pastry plate arrived and some items were cold in the centre, which was disappointing. Biting into a nicely spiced kibbeh, only to find the centre cold is disappointing. Nothing here seemed freshly made but rather premade and/or reheated! The shish taouk arrived but the enjoyable taste of the charcoal was overshadowed by the saltiness of the meat. The rice that we ordered was not prepared at the same time, was dry, tasteless, reheated and was the size of my palm. Service seemed very disorganized as they were turning away take out orders for some reason. Unheard of. A HORRIBLE Montreal experience! Avoid this place at all costs!
Très bonne nourriture libanaise, de bonne qualité. Bon rapport qualité-prix. Je recommande
Fantastic and consistent quality food. And that’s coming from a Lebanese national that knows their food.
A delightful surprise!
Fantastic food! For the value, better than other top Lebanese restaurants in the city IMO. Can’t go wrong with anything here really. All very good!!
Very good food, generous portions, free pita refill. The service is a bit slow, but we went on a fully packed Saturday evening. Be patient.
Tasty food well presented. Dishes better than anticipated. We’ll be back.
The food was delicious and the service was amazing!!
one of the best Lebanese places I have tried. food was great and service though a bit slow at first but was really friendly and good
Great food. Great service! Can't wait till we return.
The food was amazing. Service was friendly and prompt. Ambiance was nothing special.
Great food , good service my kids loved it and ate everything on the plates
love this place best Lebanese food in Montreal and very relaxed vibe
Tasty homemade Lebanese food ; this is not your overcooked, not so subtle Lebanese. These are carefully selected ingredients with an authentic taste and a smile. Strongly recommended.
The food was absolutely delicious. Mouthwatering. So many different flavour profiles. Service was excellent. Cute little quaint restaurant. Cozy and would 11/10 go back.
The food was amazing. The tabbouleh, moussaka'a, and chicken and filet skewers were all delicious. Will be eating here again!
The food was amazing! The services was kind and professional, not much waiting in between dishes. Would definitely recommend this restaurant and be visiting again next time.
Tiny venue, definitely recommended to make reservations for the dinner rush. My boyfriend and I had the kabob platter to share and had two additional sides and the hallomi cheese for an app. The food was delicious and really great value. Noise was on the high side tonight as there were two families with really young children there as well , which didn't work well with how small the restaurant is (so it was really noticeable when the kids cried). Next time we come, we will try lunch to see the difference. Overall, excellent for date night.
Super menu, J ai adoré le service et aussi le serveur très souriant !
Outstanding Lebanese food in a tiny dining room. We have lived in the Middle East and the shish taouk at Garage Beirut was better than in many places of the Gulf. Bravo! Also liked the mouhammara etc. Very nice, we will be back!
Delicious Lebanese food in a small cosy setting
A beautiful date turned sour. Food was pretty good, but things started off badly when the waiter excitedly said it was his first week on the job. It was only a matter of time before there was a mistake in our order. On top of it, reserving a week in advance landed us on the table that felt like the worst table in the house; the one that overlooked the dim kitchen which ruined the experience for us.
I don’t think I’ll go back, but may order out if that’s an option
While the food was ok, what food we had, the one star rating is because the overall experience was incredibly bad. They may have a good chef, but they don’t know how to run a restaurant. My husband and I were seated for dinner at 7:30 Friday evening and were told they had run out of red wine by the glass and we could only buy it by the bottle, which we did not do. We ordered two appetizers, two entrees and a side salad. The first plate of food to arrive was my husbands entree, as if we hadn’t even ordered the appetizers. We thought maybe they were just going to bring it all at once, but no. A few minutes later one appetizer came. We made the best of it and shared those two dishes. I was trying not to eat too much of my husbands entree and eventually he asked if my entree was coming. But mine didn’t come until he had completely finished his entree and the one appetizer. And we are not fast eaters. Finally my entree came. After I had finished, the waiter asked if we wanted dessert and we said we’re still waiting for the food we ordered, a salad and an appetizer. The waiter got angry with us and said “I do not recall that conversation.” There were no apologies or acknowledgment that they may have made a mistake, only that we had dreamed what we ordered. My recommendation is that if you are looking for an enjoyable stress free evening, look elsewhere.
Very fresh food.
Lebanese people love it, so that says something.
Extremely friendly and helpful waitress.
Amazing food. Good ambiance. Chill vibes.
Food is good but pricey small portions in a small noisy place with no particular atmosphere. I felt more in a garage than in Beirut.
We had a wonderful meal and evening at Garage Beirut. The food is delicious!
I was very eager to try this restaurant as it had been touted as one of the best--if not THE BEST--Middle Eastern restaurant in Montreal. When the pita bread arrived at our table COLD and WRAPPED IN PLASTIC, that was a terrible sign of things to come. The side dish of rice, which is boring enough if it's not pilaf, was just a bunch of rice in a bowl--zero attempt at nicer presentation. Some of the meat in the mixed grill was tough and the accompanying "sauces" were served in plastic takeout containers...I guess I just thought the food would be more nicely presented...and the bread at least warmed up and not served wrapped in plastic--really tacky. The yogurt and chickpea dish was delicious, as was the fatoush, even if it had a balsamic, not a traditional lemon/olive oil, dressing. Wine selection was also VERY limited and disappointing. Overall, not great for the money, and, sadly, I would not recommend it.
The food is amazing. Space is small, but it makes it quite intimate. A little more decoration would not hurt, but maybe it is just my own taste. I'll for sure come back !!
Always delicious, fresh, tasty. It's hard to choose a favorite dish. So many wonderful choices.
This was my first time at Garage Beirut. Service was excellent and very friendly. I ordered shish taouk and was disappointed since it was quite dry. However, I will go back: I liked the place, the service and the very diverse menu.
Nice place, you have the possibilità to taste really good quality lebanese food, the service Is great, people very kind
Best Lebanese food in town! What are you waiting for, just book already dummy!
