    Shrimp and Crab bucatini was the biggest miss I've had at Gandy Dancer. Where everything is usually a cut above, this dish just fell flat.

    Great location. Food and drinks were good but nothing special. Service was odd. At times the waiter seemed to condescending. Not sure why as I am always polite and respectful of servers. Amtrak train passes by window and waiters clap. It’s interesting.

    My husband and I dined at Gandy Dancer recently for our 10th Wedding Anniversary. Be prepared to be forced to use their valet parking - or find parking several blocks away. We were lucky my husband had a physical key to the car, because I only use my phone as a key and never carry a car key with me and I do not know how to put the car in 'valet mode'. Anyway, the valet parking is free, but of course we all feel obligated to tip. We were seated right away next to the windows overlooking the train tracks. It's not a nice view, but it is great when Amtrak does come by and it did, while we dined there! We both ordered the salmon dinners with rice and broccolini. I had an extra lump of crab for $11 and the tablespoon of crab I received for $11 was not worth it. The salmon fillets were slightly overcooked, but that could be because we asked them to be 'well done'. Most places bring the salmon out slightly under well done when we ask for well done. The broccolini was mostly stalks, and the rice had no flavor to it. The complimentary bread basket is nice and the bread comes out warm with complimentary salmon pate, which was very good. The server was nice, but was not available when we needed more drinks. We had to wait twice to get our drinks refilled (I had hot tea and needed more hot water), and we had to wait to flag the server down for more bread. Someone else from the kitchen brought the food to our table. I don't like it when it's not the server that brings our food to our table. He/she is the one that would know if the meals are accurate. At the end of our dining experience, the waiter offered up 1 free dessert for our Anniversary - that was a great touch and we very much appreciated it. The Key Lime Pie was absolutely delicious. I would recommend this restaurant for the ambiance and how much they try to make it a more elevated experience with well-dressed waiters, but overall, the restaurant's food and service could be improved.

    Went out for date night and we had an amazing experience! Went in the summer and they had shade out on the patio. I highly recommend happy hour out there, the calamari and scallops were 10/10. Margs were on the weaker side but had great flavor. Fish tacos were banging, the New England seafood roll was fresh but I think there were better options we should have ordered instead. Will be coming back soon! Service was on the slower side but we were the only group on the patio and my server had majority of her table inside so I’m not going to judge the experience based on that.

    very expensive, food was good, calamari was great, wedge salad not as crisp as I'd like (also, no bacon topping w/ the blue cheese)

    Celebrated my best friend‘s birthday we sat there for over three hours and visited lovely setting. We had great service. Food was delicious. It’s our go to spot for catching up.
