    Cocktails were very sweet. Salmon was overcooked. Coconut shrimp was small and average. Crabcakes and bisque were decent. Ambiance is nice. Pacing was good.

    Service was very slow. We were hungry so ate more bread than expected. The Sea Bass entree was excellent!

    I was so pleased with my choice after looking at many recommendations for the Ann Arbor area. The venue is historic and interesting - especially if you get a table with the train line view. The servers were outstanding. Loved the gazpacho - don't see that a lot of places. The Caesar salad was quite good. And the sole with crabmeat was really delicious. Plus fresh garlic dinner rolls and crackers with salmon spread and butter to start? I wish I lived in Michigan.

    We were underwhelmed by our dinner at the Gandy Dancer. We hadn’t been there for about 10-15 years and were really excited to be back, but beyond the beautiful setting the meal was blah. The Caesar salad had one dry anchovy on it. The raw oysters were large and good enough but the sauce had no zip. The shrimp and crab over bucatini was sooo bland I got no enjoyment from it at all. The drinks were so full of ice that they tasted watery. One guest ordered Drambuie after dinner and it was brought in a highball glass. The waiter was curt. We were embarrassed as we were the hosts and had wanted to provide a wonderful dining experience for our guests.

    Maybe there were having a tough day. Service was extremely slow for us and all the tables around us. We spent at least an hour longer at the restaurant than we hoped to. Food was mixed. I had crab cake benedict and it was good. My son had the prime rib hash which was just okay. My wife had the halibut which was small and overcooked to the point of crispy.
