Celebrated my son’s twentieth birthday and I haven’t been to there brunch and it was outstanding!
Delightful table by the window with a view of the tracks. Entrees were all delicious in our party!
Fantastic food. Great service. Our table was perfect. Thank you for making our experience wonderful
Sitting looking at old asphalt, a train track and grafitti on an overpass while eating is not our idea of of a good view.
The waitress tried to sell us everything from wine, to bottled water to joining Landrey's club . Then she missed the first salad we ordered. The she wanted us to add shrimp or chicken to our salads. Later she she asked us if we were interested in desert, after saying no, she left the desert menu and asked us again if we wanted to join Landrey's.
The salads were awful. Lettuce, onions and some kind of seeds and too little dressing for $9.00 each.
We will stick to Weber's in the future.
Great food, nice environment, and excellent services.
The location and parking are also very convenient.
Celebrated his birthday special occasion we arrived early everybody was courteous greeted nicely not too impressed with the extra salad I ordered seem to be old mention that nothing was done, had filet didn't taste like a great piece of meat , spinach was delicious potatoes were good and hot .husband loved his white fish and broccolini. My complimentary creme brulee was the best.
One of my all-time favorite places on the planet :-)
As usual - elegant dining in an iconic historical venue. A favorite restaurant.
The service is always incredibly professional. The food is good, and they do not "run out" of items on the buffet. The area in which we were seated was a bit tight, and the restaurant is a bit loud. Overall it was a pleasant experience.
I have been to Gandy dancer many times over the past 40+ years, but never went to their brunch. It was amazing! Everything was well prepared and very tasty. Plan to make this a regular stop from now on.
We've been to the Gandy Dancer several times but we were disappointed this time, particularly because we were entertaining friends from Washington DC. First, we were rushed through dinner, and we arrived late enough that it was unlikely that the restaurant needed our table for another seating. We ordered an appetizer for the table and before it was finished, the salads were delivered. I then asked the server to slow it down to give us more time before bringing the entrée, but that didn't happen as we were still working on our salads when the entrées appeared. Further, my wife and I both ordered the walleye and it was not up to the Gandy Dancer's standards. The ambience is great and will give the restaurant another chance but another experience like this will cause it to be removed from our list of favorite Ann Arbor restaurants.
Service was outstanding!
it was my daughter's 21st birthday and the restaurant was so loud we could not even hear ourselves talking. The food was good but there was a bit of a wait for everything.
Food was very good. Service was excellent
It was a little expensive. Especially for extras
Service and food were excellent. There were quite a few flies in the restaurant which took away from the ambiance and made me question cleanliness. Love the charm of Gandy Dancer.
Awesome time. Excellent meal!!
Gandy Dancer is one of our favorite restaurants for celebrating special occasions. The service is exceptional. We have always been pleased with the attention, knowledge and friendliness of the staff. The food is always perfectly prepared and delicious. We will return!
Great Ambiance that never disappoints the menu however is much smaller and more limited than it once was and the food seems more tired and less interesting. Service, as always was somewhat slow, clumsy and awkward......
Meeting up with friends
If you are going to have a breakfast Buffett, Gandy Dancer is the only place in town to go! There are a couple other Buffett ‘s in town, at similar prices, but none compare to the quality, selection, presentation, and service. The new Donut machine is the BOMB!!!
Lovely way to send my daughter off to college with a fancy Sunday brunch with fabulous musical trio!
Excellent food. Shrimp appetizer was delightful. Entrees were exceptional as was the bread pudding
Food and service is always consistently outstanding
The food was outstanding, especially the salmon. The wine prices were high compared to what you pay at a store (probably 4 times), but we were very satisfied with the quality of the food and the preparation. The staff was top notch. We will definitely visit again soon.
Clearly a place with a lot of history. A train came past during dinner which added to the atmosphere.
As always, enjoyed a great dinner at Gandy Dancer.
Food took a long time to come out. It was ok but nothing wonderful. I love the setting and outside area and also your name, but the food nor service was a wow. Our server was very friendly and nice but kept disappearing.
Everything tasted fresh and though it is a higher end restaurant I didn't feel the prices were unreasonable. Delicious seafood!
A real treat for Brunch..Everything you can imagine and really good food!
The building and atmosphere are incredible. The cocktails and wine selection are very good as well. We had a great appetizer but the entrée was sub-par. My fish was undercooked (raw at the thickest part) and my date's steak tasted like charcoal. I would highly suggest going there anytime for appetizers and drinks (you will likely love it) but the entrees are apparently inconsistent.
Absolutely! It is a favorite restaurant with excellent food!
Chad was a pleasant, knowledgeable and attentive server, and he made our anniversary dinner perfect.
For the price and food ordered, nothing really popped. I am so disappointed as I was really looking forward to eating at this iconic location.
I would recommend Gandy Dancer to people who like seafood. We aren't big into seafood, but had a gift certificate, so decided to use it for our anniversary. I had the white fish, which was delicious, and my husband had the filet mignon, which he also enjoyed. The appetizer choices were limited for our taste. We did settle on the pecan encrusted brie, which was good. None of the others appealed to us.
We had cheesecake for dessert, which was very good.
It was fun eating in the train station where I watched many a train arrive and depart when I was a child.
We had a pleasant experience, but the largely seafood menu will likely keep us from returning.
The staff was wonderful and made our dining experience most pleasant.
The food was delicious! As important as the food is the service and our server, Imani, was awesome! Not only was she attentive and had a great personality, she made a suggestion for a substitution that was phenomenal! (They were out of the walleye, she suggested the halibut with an accompaniment that was so tasty.) We will definitely return!
Great food and setting.
Excellent service starting with a wonderful greeting from valet. The table location was wonderful - utmost attention given to ensure the music was not too loud as my mother is hard of hearing. The wine suggestion was very tasty and food service top notch. I was impressed - I have to go to many restaurants for work purposes and I can truly say it was a pleasure eating at The Gandy Dancer on an away-from-work evening out.
Went here for our first anniversary and it truly felt like they were there to help celebrate. We had awesome food, good service, and the atmosphere is great. Would recommend to anybody!
Great food and exceptional service as always, and the Amtrak train went by twice during our meal, which was great entertainment for everyone.
Excellent customer service. Great place to have a special event such as a birthday celebration.
