We bought the 12 course tasting menu with wine pairing, but were definitely not blown away. Our server seemed rushed and literally did not explain one single course or wine. Another server Ben was more than helpful in explaining two courses he was helping bring out. The wine pairing was spot on with the later dishes, the early dishes were flying at us two dishes at once almost and we did not know if the wine was for the current dish or the next. We will definitely go back, just a 3 course dinner or a single entree in the future.

We had an excellent dinner! This was our first visit to Gander and Ryegrass and we will return. The food was really complex and interesting. Unusual and delicious combinations! I highly recommend the location, the menu and the service.

Very pleasant waiter and nice atmosphere. We had the 3 course dinner, a nice bottle of wine and split the chocolate dessert. The salad with greens and apple was bitter and no apple was in it. The octopus first course was nicely seasoned but a little rubbery. The portion size was very generous. Loved the pasta course tortelloni with mushrooms! A little disappointed with the scallops preparation. My husband had the strip loin and was very satisfied with it. We will try going again, it was their first night back from remodeling closure.

While the food and wine was somewhat expensive, it was the best cooked meal I've ever eaten in a restaurant! My wife and I had different items so we could sample more and all were delicious and unique.

Our party of four enjoyed an amazing meal at Gander and Ryegrass. Chef/owner Peter is making a bold statement in Spokane with his menu format of either a 3-course or a 10-12 course tasting menu, there is no à la carte. There were four options for the first course, five for the pasta course, and two for the main course; we basically ordered everything from the menu between us and were dazzled. The food is exquisite - creatively prepared, beautifully presented. We also enjoyed the prawn amuse-bouche, bread service, and sorbet palate cleanser. The service was fairly attentive although our server did forget our starter oysters. The wine list is approachable, with some interesting and reasonably priced options. The dining room is beautiful and relaxed. If you are looking for serious, creative food, check out Gander and Ryegrass.

Second time here and once again, absolute perfection. The physical space is beautiful, service is friendly, knowledgeable and professional and the food is sublime. Wouldn’t change a thing. Can’t wait to eat here again and again.

We had a wonderful dining experience! The staff was pleasant and our food was wonderful. I think Gander & Ryegrass is serving some of the most imaginative and delicious cuisine in Spokane today, emphasizing enjoyment of both your food and your company! We were easily able to hear one another throughout our dinner!

Such good food. The sweet breads were delicate and tasty. The pasta is just enough that you don't feel like you're cheating but the flavor suggests that you have done just that, it's rich and lovely. The scallops were cooked to perfection and the cocktails are spot on. I could eat here often. Great place to take your foodie friends. I did.

Fantastic! Stopped here before a concert. We sat at the bar and enjoyed delicious cocktails and yummy pastas. The environment is warm and welcoming. The service was knowledgeable and attentive. Highly recommended!

My friends and I enjoyed our experience at Gander and rye grass. From the customized cocktails to the three-course dinner everything was fantastic. We loved getting a few extra things during our third course dinner and the waiters and staff were all professional.

We had a great dinner. Didn’t know what to Exocet since they just opened but we were very happy with the dinner and they arrive and the restaurant overall. We really liked Sante and this restaurant is comparable. Loved it

Ended up at Gander and Ryegrass last weekend on an impromptu date night. Really lovely set menu, great service and ambiance. Spokane as late seems to be overtaken by restaurants being opened by the same few chefs, it's nice to see a new restaurant with a new chef with fresh vision. We will be back, looking forward to introducing friends and family to a great new addition to the food scene in town.

Our experience here was absolutely incredible! For an opening weekend they were very put together and all of the food was amazingly delicious. We opted for the small plate 12 course option and were not disappointed. It was an expensive evening but worth the experience. If you love the finer things in life and want to take part in a wonderful evening experience of food deliciousness you have to check this place out.

At this moment Gander and Ryegrass is by far Spokane's best restaurant for gourmands and foodies. The prefix menu with pairings is exceptional, with a wide range of flavor experiences, each lovingly presented. Kudos to the chef and his team. The wait-staff matched the high bar being set by the kitchen and the whole experience is one we were lacking in the region. Thank you for your work in Spokane!
